My brothers count it all joy when you fall into various trials,knowing that the testing of your faith works enduring patience.
And not only so, but we glory also in afflictions, knowing that affliction fully works patient endurance,and patient endurance fully works proven character; and proven character, hope.And the hope not puts to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, the One given to us;
in which you exult; yet a little while, if it is needful, having been grieved in many various kinds of trials,so that the testing of your faith, much more precious than perishing gold, but being tested through fire, may be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
For His anger is only a moment; in His favor is life. Weeping may endure in the evening, but a ringing cry of joy comes in the morning.
A Psalm of David, when he changed his behavior before Abimelech; and he drove him away, and he went. I will bless Jehovah at all times; His praise shall always be in my mouth.
And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will rather gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ might dwell on me.Therefore I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, for the sake of Christ. For whenever I may be weak, then I am powerful.
But we know that to the ones loving God all things work together for good, to the ones being called out ones according to purpose;
Rejoice always.Pray without ceasing.In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
Those who sow in tears shall reap with a ringing cry of joy.Walking he who walks and weeps, bearing a trail of seed, shall come again with a ringing cry of joy, bearing his sheaves.
to appoint to the mourning ones of Zion, to give them beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of the spirit of infirmity, so that one calls them trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, in order to beautify Himself.
So therefore we also, having so great a cloud of witnesses lying around us, having laid aside every weight and the easily surrounding sin, through patience let us also run the race being set before us,looking to the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, “and has sat down at the right hand” of the throne of God.”
Blessed are the ones who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake! For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.Blessed are you when they shall reproach you, and persecute you, and shall say every evil word against you, lying, on account of Me.Rejoice and be exceeding joyful, for your reward is great in Heaven; for in this way they persecuted the prophets, the ones before you.
being empowered with all power according to the might of His glory, to all patience and long-suffering with joy;
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk in the fire, you shall not be burned, and not shall the flame kindle on you.
Jehovah also will be a refuge for oppressed ones, a refuge in times of distress.And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.
Only conduct yourself worthily of the gospel of Christ, so that whether coming and seeing you or being absent, I hear the things concerning you, that you stand fast in one spirit and one soul, striving together in the faith of the gospel,and not being terrified in no thing by the ones opposing, which to them truly is a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and this from God;
O my soul, why are you cast down? And why do you moan within me? Hope in God, for I yet thank Him for the salvations of my face and my God.
Therefore we do not fail in heart, but if indeed our outward man is being consumed, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us an eternal weight of glory, surpassing moment by surpassing moment;we not looking at the things being seen, but the things not being seen; for the things being seen are not lasting, but the things not being seen are everlasting.
Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, “and you will find rest to your souls.” Jer. 6:16For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,meekness, self-control. Against such things there is not a law.
The day I am afraid I will trust in You.In God I will praise His Word; in God I have trusted; I will not fear; what will flesh do to me?
Beloved ones, do not be astonished at the fiery trial taking place among you for a test, as if a strange thing were happening to you;but according as you share the sufferings of Christ, rejoice; so that you may rejoice exultingly at the revelation of His glory.
To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. Waiting I have waited on Jehovah; and He turned to me and heard my cry.And He made me go up from the pit of tumult, out of the miry clay; He lifted my feet on a rock; He directed my steps.And He put a new song of praise to our God in my mouth; many shall see and shall fear and shall trust in Jehovah.
but the ones waiting for Jehovah shall renew strength; they shall go up with wings as the eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not be faint!
Does anyone suffer hardships among you? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him praise in song.
To the chief musician, To die for the Son. A Psalm of David. I will give thanks, O Jehovah, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful acts;I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will praise Your name, O Most High,
Set your way of life without moneyloving, being satisfied with present things; for He has said, “Not I will leave you, not ever! Nor I will not forsake you, not ever!” Deut. 31:6So that we may boldly say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?” Psa. 118:6
but thanks be to God, the One giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
And may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, for you to abound in hope, in power of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore do not be anxious into the morrow. For the morrow will be anxious of itself. Sufficient to each day is its own badness.
The expectation of the righteous ones is joyful, but the hope of the wicked ones shall perish.
O my soul, why are you cast down and moan within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet thank Him for the salvations of His presence.
But let us not be wearied in doing good; for in its own time we shall reap, not growing faint-hearted.
Not that I speak as to need, for I have learned to be content in whatever state I am.And I know to be humbled, and I know to abound; in everything, and in all things, I am taught both to be full and to hunger, both to abound, and to be in need.
But call to mind the former days in which having been enlightened you endured much struggle of sufferings.Indeed, this, being exposed both to reproaches and to afflictions; and this, having come to be sharer of the ones so living;for indeed you suffered together in my bonds; and you accepted the plunder of your possessions with joy, knowing yourselves to have a better and abiding possession in Heaven.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not gaze about, for I am your God; I will make you strong; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.
as being grieved, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet enriching many; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.
to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,through whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we glory on the hope of the glory of God.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions and God of all comfort,the One comforting us on all our affliction, for us to be able to comfort the ones in every affliction, through the comfort by which we ourselves are comforted by God.
I will thank You, for I am awed, I am set apart; Your works are marvelous and my soul knows it very well.
Now the God of all grace, the One having called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you.
You will make Me know the way of life. In Your presence is fullness of joys; at Your right hand are pleasures forever.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, “Accursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;” Deut. 21:23that the blessing of Abraham might be to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through the faith.
For I consider that the sufferings of the time now are not worthy to be compared to the coming glory to be revealed in us.
And Jehovah shall always guide you, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of waters which do not prove to be deceiving.
Many things have You done, O Jehovah my God; Your works of wonder and Your purposes toward us; there is none to set them in order to You; I will declare and I will speak; they are more than can be counted.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be of God, and not from us;in every way being pressed, but not being constricted; being perplexed, but not utterly despairing;being persecuted, but not being forsaken; being thrown down, but not perishing;
He shall call on Me and I will answer Him; I will be with Him in distress; I will rescue Him and honor Him.
Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and we may find grace for timely help.
being persuaded of this very thing, that the One having begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
But now so says Jehovah who created you, O Jacob; and He who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I called you by your name; you are to Me.
For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Because everything having been generated of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory overcoming the world, our faith.
Praise Jah! Blessed is the man who fears Jehovah, delighting greatly in His commands.His seed will be mighty on the earth; the generation of the upright ones will be blessed;
Rejoicing I will rejoice in Jehovah. My soul shall be joyful in my God. For He clothed me with garments of salvation; He put on me the robe of righteousness, even as a bridegroom puts on his head-dress, and as a bride puts on her ornaments.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
whom having not known, you love; in whom not yet seeing, but believing, you exult with joy unspeakable and being glorified,
But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
Therefore through Him let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God always, this is, the fruit of the lips, confessing to His name.
What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?He who indeed did not spare His own Son, but gave Him over on behalf of us all, how will He not freely give all things to us with Him?
If I walk in the midst of distress, You give me life; You send out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand delivers me.
All the days of the afflicted one are evil days, but a good heart is a continual feast.
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
Behold, God is my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for my strength and song is Jah Jehovah; yea, He has become my salvation.
God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Cast on Jehovah that given to you, and He will keep you; He will not give shaking to the righteous ones forever.
For God did not give a spirit of cowardice to us, but of power and of love and of self-control.
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have loosed my sackcloth and have clothed me with gladness.So my glory shall praise You, and not be quiet; O Jehovah, my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath, for it has been written, “Vengeance is Mine,” “I will repay,” says the Lord. Deut. 32:35
A Psalm of David. Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in my integrity; I also have trusted in Jehovah; I shall not slide.Examine me, O Jehovah, and prove me; purify my reins and my heart.
For, brothers, you were called to freedom. Only do not use the freedom for an opening to the flesh. But through love be slaves to one another.
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why do you moan within me? Hope in God, for I will still thank Him, the salvations of my face, and my God.
No temptation has taken you if not a human one; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able. But with the temptation, He will also make the way out, so as for you to be able to bear it.
looking to the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, “and has sat down at the right hand” of the throne of God.”
And my God will fill your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Little children, you are of God and have overcome them, because the One in you is greater than the one in the world.
For as many promises as are of God, in Him they are Yes, and in Him are Amen, for glory to God through us.
and if you let out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the soul of the afflicted one; then your light shall rise in the darkness, and your gloom shall be as the noonday.And Jehovah shall always guide you, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make strong your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of waters which do not prove to be deceiving.
In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
For evildoers shall be cut off; and the ones waiting on Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth.It is but a little and the wicked one shall not be; yea, you shall consider his place, and he is not.But the meek shall inherit the earth; yea, they shall delight themselves in abundant peace.
But we are not of a drawing back to destruction, but of faith, to the preservation of the soul.
And not only so, but we glory also in afflictions, knowing that affliction fully works patient endurance,
He gives strength to the faint, and to him with no vigor He increases power.Even youths are faint and weary, and young men stumbling shall stumble;but the ones waiting for Jehovah shall renew strength; they shall go up with wings as the eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not be faint!
Jehovah is for me; I will not fear; what can man do to me?Jehovah is for me among those helping me, and I will look on those hating me.
“casting all your anxiety onto Him,” because it matters to Him concerning you. LXX-Psa. 54:23; MT-Psa. 55:22
Only conduct yourself worthily of the gospel of Christ, so that whether coming and seeing you or being absent, I hear the things concerning you, that you stand fast in one spirit and one soul, striving together in the faith of the gospel,
If I take the wings of the morning, dwelling in the uttermost part of the sea,even there Your hand shall lead me; and Your right hand shall take hold of me.
So then if anyone is in Christ, that one is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have come to be new!
To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. Waiting I have waited on Jehovah; and He turned to me and heard my cry.And He made me go up from the pit of tumult, out of the miry clay; He lifted my feet on a rock; He directed my steps.
Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind, and stretching out for the things before,I am pursuing a goal for the prize of the upward calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
