¶ My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into diverse trials,for the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God.So then, leave all uncleanness and remains of malice and receive with meekness the word ingested within you, which is able to cause your souls to be saved.But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.For if anyone hears the word and does not put it into practice, this same is like unto the man beholding his natural face in a mirror:For he considered himself and went his way and in one hour forgot what he was like.But whosoever has looked attentively into the perfect law of liberty and has persevered in it, not being a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, the same shall be blessed in their deed.If anyone among you thinks to be religious and does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his own heart, his religion is vain.The pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation and to keep thyself unspotted from this world.knowing that the proving of your faith works patience,
And not only this, but we even glory in the tribulations, knowing that the tribulation works patience;and patience, experience; and experience, hope;and the hope shall not be ashamed, because the love of God is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.
¶ In which ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are afflicted in diverse temptations,that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold (which perishes, nevertheless it is tried with fire), might be found unto praise and glory and honour when Jesus, the Christ, is made manifest;
For his anger endures but a moment; in his will is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
And we now know that unto those who love God, all things help them unto good, to those who according to the purpose are called to be saints.
¶ Always rejoice.Pray without ceasing.In every thing give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Those that sow with tears shall reap with joy.He that goes forth and weeps, bearing the precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
to order in Zion those that mourn, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
¶ Therefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, leaving behind all the weight of the sin which surrounds us, let us run with patience the race that is set before us,For they verily for a few days chastened us as it seemed good unto them, but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.It is true that no chastening at present seems to be cause for joy, but rather for grief; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto those who are exercised by it.Therefore, lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,and make straight steps unto your feet, so that which is lame will not turn out of the way, but let it rather be healed.Follow peace with everyone and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord:looking diligently that no one deviate from the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up impede you, and thereby many be defiled,lest there be any fornicator or profane person as Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.For ye know how that afterward, desiring to inherit the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.¶ For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched and that burned with fire nor unto blackness and darkness and tempestand the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, which voice those that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more;with our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who having been offered joy, endured the cross,{Gr. stauros-stake} despising the shame and was seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Blessed are those who suffer persecution for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.Blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.Rejoice and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in the heavens; for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
strengthened with all might, according to the power of his glory unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness,
When thou dost pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou dost walk through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
¶ Only let your conversation be as is worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether I come and see you or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, unanimous, working together for the faith of the gospel,and in nothing terrified by your adversaries, which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of saving health and that of God.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Wait thou for God, for I shall yet praise him, who is the saving health of my countenance and my God.
Therefore we fault not; but though our outward man is wearing out, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.For our tribulation, which is momentary and light, prepares an exceeding and eternal weight of glory unto us;while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and humble of heart, and ye shall find rest for your souls.and said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
But the fruit of the Spirit is this: Charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith,meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
¶ A joyful heart makes a beautiful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is abated.
When I am afraid, I will trust in thee.In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
¶ Let, I pray thee, thy mercy be for my comfort, according to thy spoken word unto thy slave.
¶ Beloved, think it not strange when you are tried by fire (which is done to prove you) as though some strange thing happened unto you,but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of the afflictions of the Christ, so that also in the revelation of his glory, ye may rejoice in triumph.
¶ I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined unto me and heard my cry.I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy truth and thy salvation; I have not concealed thy mercy and thy truth from the great congregation.¶ Do not withhold thy tender mercies from me, O Lord; let thy mercy and thy truth continually preserve me.For innumerable evils have compassed me about; my iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to see; they are more than the hairs of my head; therefore my heart fails me.Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me.Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my life to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.When I am poor and needy; the Lord will remember me; thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.He brought me up also out of the pit of hopelessness, out of the miry clay and set my feet upon a rock and straightened my steps.And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it and fear and shall wait on the Lord.
but those that wait for the Lord shall have new strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
¶ I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all thy marvellous works.And those that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those that seek thee.¶ Sing unto the Lord, he who dwells in Zion; declare among the people his doings.When he makes requirement for blood, he remembers them; he does not forget the cry of the humble.Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer from those that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:that I may show forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy saving health.The Gentiles are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid their own foot is taken.The Lord is known by the judgment which he has executed; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion (meditate on this for ever). Selah.The wicked shall be put into Sheol, all the Gentiles that forget God.For the humble shall not always be forgotten: the hope of the poor shall not perish for ever.Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the Gentiles be judged in thy sight.I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High
Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have; for he has said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
¶ And believing, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace that ye may abound in hope by the virtue of the Holy Spirit.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the affliction thereof.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted against me? Wait thou for God, for I shall yet praise him for the wellbeing of his presence.
And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.
Not that I speak in respect of want, for I have learned, in whatever state I am, to be content.I know both how to be humbled, and I know how to have an abundance; in everything and by all things I am instructed, both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
But bring to memory the former days, in which, after ye received the light, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;on the one hand ye were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and on the other ye became companions of those that were so used.For ye had compassion of me in my bonds and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing that in yourselves ye have a better substance in the heavens, and that abides.
¶ Do not fear for I am with thee; do not be dismayed, for I am thy God, who strengthens thee; I will help thee always; I will always uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
That I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death,
¶ Justified therefore by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus, the Christ,For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled with God by the death of his Son, much more, now reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.And not only this, but we even glory in God through our Lord Jesus, the Christ, by whom we have now received the reconciliation.Therefore, in the manner which sin entered into the world by one man, and because of sin, death; and so death passed upon all men in the one in whom all sinned.For until the law, sin was in the world; but the sin was not imputed, there being no law.Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even in those that did not sin after the manner of the rebellion of Adam, who is a figure of him that was to come.But not as the offense, so also is the gift. For if through the offense of that one many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of one man, Jesus the Christ, has abounded unto many.Nor was it in the same manner as by one sin, likewise also the gift; for the judgment truly came of one sin unto condemnation, but grace came of many offenses unto justification.For if by one offense, death reigned because of one man; much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of gifts and of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus the Christ.Therefore, in the same manner that by the iniquity of one guilt came upon all men unto condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one, grace came upon all men unto justification of life.For as by one man’s disobedience, many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.by whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand and glory in hope of the glory of the sons of God.
¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are thy works, and that, my soul knows right well.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusts in thee.
When I cry unto thee, then shall my enemies be turned back; in this I know that God is for me.
¶ But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Jesus, the Christ, after ye have suffered a little while, he himself perfects, confirms, strengthens, and establishes you.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, (for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree),That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
For I know with certainty that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory which shall be manifested in us.
And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Thou hast increased, O Lord my God, thy wonderful works which thou hast done and thy thoughts regarding us; they are beyond our ability to express, declare, or speak; they cannot be told.
But we have this treasure in clay vessels that the excellency of the virtue may be of God, and not of us.¶ We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are unsure of our lives, but not in despair;persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and glorify him.
Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of his grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
¶ Halelu-JAH. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord, that delights greatly in his commandments.The wicked shall see it and be furious; he shall gnash with his teeth and waste away: The desire of the wicked shall perish.His seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
¶ I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of saving health; he has surrounded me with the robe of righteousness; as a bridegroom he has arrayed me, and as a bride made up of his jewels.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff shall comfort me.

But the fruit of the Spirit is this: Charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith,

¶ Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity; I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.In whose hands are wicked devices, and their right hand is full of bribes.But as for me, I will walk in my integrity; ransom me and be merciful unto me.I have walked uprightly; in the congregations I will bless the Lord.Examine me, O Lord and prove me; melt my kidneys and my heart.
¶ For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only do not use liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by charity serve one another.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Wait for God, for I shall yet praise him, who is the saving health of my countenance and my God.
No temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

And not only this, but we even glory in the tribulations, knowing that the tribulation works patience;
He gives power to the faint; and to those that have no might he increases strength.¶ The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.The young men faint and are weary; the children stumble and fall;but those that wait for the Lord shall have new strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
