Submit to God and accept the word that he plants in your hearts, which is able to save you.Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice.If you listen to the word, but do not put it into practice you are like people who look in a mirror and see themselves as they are.They take a good look at themselves and then go away and at once forget what they look like.But if you look closely into the perfect law that sets people free, and keep on paying attention to it and do not simply listen and then forget it, but put it into practice—you will be blessed by God in what you do.Do any of you think you are religious? If you do not control your tongue, your religion is worthless and you deceive yourself.What God the Father considers to be pure and genuine religion is this: to take care of orphans and widows in their suffering and to keep oneself from being corrupted by the world.for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure.
We also boast of our troubles, because we know that trouble produces endurance,endurance brings God's approval, and his approval creates hope.This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God's gift to us.
Be glad about this, even though it may now be necessary for you to be sad for a while because of the many kinds of trials you suffer.Their purpose is to prove that your faith is genuine. Even gold, which can be destroyed, is tested by fire; and so your faith, which is much more precious than gold, must also be tested, so that it may endure. Then you will receive praise and glory and honor on the Day when Jesus Christ is revealed.
His anger lasts only a moment, his goodness for a lifetime. Tears may flow in the night, but joy comes in the morning.
We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose.
Be joyful always,pray at all times,be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus.
Let those who wept as they planted their crops, gather the harvest with joy!Those who wept as they went out carrying the seed will come back singing for joy, as they bring in the harvest.

As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us.Our human fathers punished us for a short time, as it seemed right to them; but God does it for our own good, so that we may share his holiness.When we are punished, it seems to us at the time something to make us sad, not glad. When the people heard the voice, they begged not to hear another word,Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God's throne.
“Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!“Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers.Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted.
May you be made strong with all the strength which comes from his glorious power, so that you may be able to endure everything with patience. And with joy give thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to have your share of what God has reserved for his people in the kingdom of light.
When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you.
Now, the important thing is that your way of life should be as the gospel of Christ requires, so that, whether or not I am able to go and see you, I will hear that you are standing firm with one common purpose and that with only one desire you are fighting together for the faith of the gospel.Don't be afraid of your enemies; always be courageous, and this will prove to them that they will lose and that you will win, because it is God who gives you the victory.
Why am I so sad? Why am I so troubled? I will put my hope in God, and once again I will praise him, my savior and my God.
For this reason we never become discouraged. Even though our physical being is gradually decaying, yet our spiritual being is renewed day after day.And this small and temporary trouble we suffer will bring us a tremendous and eternal glory, much greater than the trouble.For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever.
“Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest.“Tell us,” they asked Jesus, “are you the one John said was going to come, or should we expect someone else?”For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.”
But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these.
When I am afraid, O Lord Almighty, I put my trust in you.I trust in God and am not afraid; I praise him for what he has promised. What can a mere human being do to me?
My dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful test you are suffering, as though something unusual were happening to you.Rather be glad that you are sharing Christ's sufferings, so that you may be full of joy when his glory is revealed.

May God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace by means of your faith in him, so that your hope will continue to grow by the power of the Holy Spirit.
So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.
Why am I so sad? Why am I so troubled? I will put my hope in God, and once again I will praise him, my savior and my God.
So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.
And I am not saying this because I feel neglected, for I have learned to be satisfied with what I have.I know what it is to be in need and what it is to have more than enough. Remember how it was with you in the past. Now that we have been put right with God through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.We were God's enemies, but he made us his friends through the death of his Son. Now that we are God's friends, how much more will we be saved by Christ's life!But that is not all; we rejoice because of what God has done through our Lord Jesus Christ, who has now made us God's friends.Sin came into the world through one man, and his sin brought death with it. Adam was a figure of the one who was to come.But the two are not the same, because God's free gift is not like Adam's sin. It is true that many people died because of the sin of that one man. But God's grace is much greater, and so is his free gift to so many people through the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ.And there is a difference between God's gift and the sin of one man. After the one sin, came the judgment of “Guilty”; but after so many sins, comes the undeserved gift of “Not guilty!”It is true that through the sin of one man death began to rule because of that one man. But how much greater is the result of what was done by the one man, Jesus Christ! All who receive God's abundant grace and are freely put right with him will rule in life through Christ.So then, as the one sin condemned all people, in the same way the one righteous act sets all people free and gives them life.And just as all people were made sinners as the result of the disobedience of one man, in the same way they will all be put right with God as the result of the obedience of the one man.He has brought us by faith into this experience of God's grace, in which we now live. And so we boast of the hope we have of sharing God's glory!
Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father, the God from whom all help comes!He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God.
I praise you because you are to be feared; all you do is strange and wonderful. I know it with all my heart.
You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.
But after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who calls you to share his eternal glory in union with Christ, will himself perfect you and give you firmness, strength, and a sure foundation.
You will show me the path that leads to life; your presence fills me with joy and brings me pleasure forever.

I consider that what we suffer at this present time cannot be compared at all with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.

You have done many things for us, O Lord our God; there is no one like you! You have made many wonderful plans for us. I could never speak of them all— their number is so great!
Yet we who have this spiritual treasure are like common clay pots, in order to show that the supreme power belongs to God, not to us.We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair;there are many enemies, but we are never without a friend; and though badly hurt at times, we are not destroyed.
When they call to me, I will answer them; when they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will rescue them and honor them.
Let us have confidence, then, and approach God's throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.

because every child of God is able to defeat the world. And we win the victory over the world by means of our faith.

God is my savior; I will trust him and not be afraid. The Lord gives me power and strength; he is my savior.
God is to be trusted, the God who called you to have fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Leave your troubles with the Lord, and he will defend you; he never lets honest people be defeated.
For the Spirit that God has given us does not make us timid; instead, his Spirit fills us with power, love, and self-control.

Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to the test, he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out.

Of course, my friends, I really do not think that I have already won it; the one thing I do, however, is to forget what is behind me and do my best to reach what is ahead.So I run straight toward the goal in order to win the prize, which is God's call through Christ Jesus to the life above.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know.Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.
