You must help needy orphans and widows and not let this world make you evil.You know you learn to endure by having your faith tested.
But that's not all! We gladly suffer, because we know that suffering helps us to endure.And endurance builds character, which gives us a hopethat will never disappoint us. All of this happens because God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hearts with his love.
On that day you will be glad, even if you have to go through many hard trials for a while.Your faith will be like gold that has been tested in a fire. And these trials will prove that your faith is worth much more than gold that can be destroyed. They will show that you will be given praise and honor and glory when Jesus Christ returns.
Your anger lasts a little while, but your kindness lasts for a lifetime. At night we may cry, but when morning comes we will celebrate.

There is no flaming fire or dark cloud or stormor trumpet sound. The people of Israel heard a voice speak. But they begged it to stop,We must keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads us and makes our faith complete. He endured the shame of being nailed to a cross, because he knew later on he would be glad he did. Now he is seated at the right side of God's throne!
God blesses those people who are treated badly for doing right. They belong to the kingdom of heaven. God will bless you when people insult you, mistreat you, and tell all kinds of evil lies about you because of me.Be happy and excited! You will have a great reward in heaven. People did these same things to the prophets who lived long ago.
His glorious power will make you patient and strong enough to endure anything, and you will be truly happy.
When you cross deep rivers, I will be with you, and you won't drown. When you walk through fire, you won't be burned or scorched by the flames.
Above all else, you must live in a way that brings honor to the good news about Christ. Then, whether I visit you or not, I will hear that all of you think alike. I will know that you are working together and are struggling side by side to get others to believe the good news.Be brave when you face your enemies. Your courage will show them that they are going to be destroyed, and it will show you that you will be saved. God will make all of this happen,
Why am I discouraged? Why am I restless? I trust you, Lord! And I will praise you again because you help me, and you are my God.

Don't forget all the hard times you went through when you first received the light.Sometimes you were abused and mistreated in public, and at other times you shared in the sufferings of others.You were kind to people in jail. And you gladly let your possessions be taken away, because you knew you had something better, something that would last forever.
Don't be afraid. I am with you. Don't tremble with fear. I am your God. I will make you strong, as I protect you with my arm and give you victories.

But no record of sin was kept, because there was no Law.Yet death still had power over all who lived from the time of Adam to the time of Moses. This happened, though not everyone disobeyed a direct command from God, as Adam did. In some ways Adam is like Christ who came later.But the gift of God's undeserved grace was very different from Adam's sin. That one sin brought death to many others. Yet in an even greater way, Jesus Christ alone brought God's gift of undeserved grace to many people.There is a lot of difference between Adam's sin and God's gift. That one sin led to punishment. But God's gift made it possible for us to be acceptable to him, even though we have sinned many times.Death ruled like a king because Adam had sinned. But that cannot compare with what Jesus Christ has done. God has treated us with undeserved grace, and he has accepted us because of Jesus. And so we will live and rule like kings.Everyone was going to be punished because Adam sinned. But because of the good thing that Christ has done, God accepts us and gives us the gift of life.Adam disobeyed God and caused many others to be sinners. But Jesus obeyed him and will make many people acceptable to God.Christ has also introduced us to God's gift of undeserved grace on which we now take our stand. So we are happy, as we look forward to sharing in the glory of God.
Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! The Father is a merciful God, who always gives us comfort.He comforts us when we are in trouble, so that we can share this same comfort with others in trouble.
and I praise you because of the wonderful way you created me. Everything you do is marvelous! Of this I have no doubt.
When I pray, Lord God, my enemies will retreat, because I know for certain that you are with me.
But God shows undeserved kindness to everyone. That's why he appointed Christ Jesus to choose you to share in his eternal glory. You will suffer for a while, but God will make you complete, steady, strong, and firm.

I am sure what we are suffering now cannot compare with the glory that will be shown to us.
The Lord will always guide you and provide good things to eat when you are in the desert. He will make you healthy. You will be like a garden that has plenty of water or like a stream that never runs dry.
You, Lord God, have done many wonderful things, and you have planned marvelous things for us. No one is like you! I would never be able to tell all you have done.
We are like clay jars in which this treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us.We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don't know what to do, we never give up.In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again.
When you are in trouble, call out to me. I will answer and be there to protect and honor you.
So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved grace, and we will find help.
God is the one who began this good work in you, and I am certain that he won't stop before it is complete on the day that Christ Jesus returns.

My friends, I don't feel I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is ahead.I run toward the goal, so I can win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done.
With all your heart you must trust the Lord and not your own judgment.Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow.
