Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations;knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience.

And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness;and stedfastness, approvedness; and approvedness, hope:and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, ye have been put to grief in manifold trials,that the proof of your faith, {\i being} more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ:

For his anger is but for a moment;\par\tab His favor is for a life-time:\par\tab Weeping may tarry for the night,\par\tab But joy {\i cometh} in the morning.

Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.

to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.\par

Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of {\i our} faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me;\par\tab {\i Yet} thy commandments are my delight.

Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are ye when {\i men} shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.\par

But I will hope continually,\par\tab And will praise thee yet more and more.

A glad heart maketh a cheerful countenance;\par\tab But by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.

My flesh and my heart faileth;\par\tab {\i But} God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him;\par\tab I will be with him in trouble:\par\tab I will deliver him, and honor him.

Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help {\i us} in time of need.\par

being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Jehovah is my strength and song;\par\tab And he is become my salvation.

But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.

for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, {\i even} our faith.

Praise ye Jehovah.\par\tab Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah,\par\tab That delighteth greatly in his commandments.His seed shall be mighty upon earth:\par\tab The generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name.

What then shall we say to these things? If God {\i is} for us, who {\i is} against us?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?

Do all things without murmurings and questionings:

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me;\par\tab Thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies,\par\tab And thy right hand will save me.

But Jehovah hath been my high tower,\par\tab And my God the rock of my refuge.

All the days of the afflicted are evil;\par\tab But he that is of a cheerful heart {\i hath} a continual feast.

nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.\par

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for Jehovah, {\i even} Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation.

God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.\par

Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee:\par\tab He will never suffer the righteous to be moved.

For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.

Happy is the people that is in such a case;\par\tab {\i Yea}, happy is the people whose God is Jehovah.

Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart,\par\tab And lean not upon thine own understanding:In all thy ways acknowledge him,\par\tab And he will direct thy paths.

Wait for Jehovah:\par\tab Be strong, and let thy heart take courage;\par\tab Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.\par

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.\par
