105 Bible verses about Happiness

105 Bible verses about Happiness

You should never doubt God's infinite goodness. Trust completely in His love and care, even when things get tough. In those moments, you can find refuge in Him and His protection.

Some folks picture God as sad, angry, or indifferent, but the truth is, He is majestic and overflowing with joy. His happiness doesn't depend on anything or anyone, and He's the only one who can truly give it to us.

Your happiness comes from God. Let's face it, there will always be reasons to cry, suffer, and feel discouraged. Yet, He's promised to be with us always, to the very end. As Jesus said, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

Happiness in God isn't just a feeling; it's about being accepted by Him, having a clean heart, and being free in His presence. Let's celebrate that amazing truth!

Hebrews 12:2

Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps. 110:1.]

James 1:2-3

Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. For man's anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires].So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls. But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth].For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience). If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person's religious service is worthless (futile, barren).External religious worship [religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need, and to keep oneself unspotted and uncontaminated from the world.Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.

Prayer

My good God, Your mercy and kindness are forever, how great is Your power. I give homage to Your mighty works, my Lord, for You are unmatched. Father, thank You that in You there is fullness of joy, and I rejoice because I'm free to bask in Your presence, for only through Your beloved Holy Spirit can I find true happiness. Thank You for everything, the good and the bad, truly it's the opportunity You give me to highlight Your great love for me, because for those who love You, all things work together for good. Teach me each day to walk in the fruit of Your Spirit, so that I may reflect joy in all I say and do, and so inspire those around me. Lord Jesus, help me to always have a grateful heart for all things, may Your joy remain in me, even in the worst situations, because I know that every event holds a valuable purpose, a matchless lesson, and a learning experience. Lord, let this joy never end so I can keep going day by day, until the time comes for the greatest joy of all, preparing for that glorious meeting with You. Your word says, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." In Jesus' name, Amen.
