VERSES ABOUT JOY

Think about it: the joy of the Lord doesn't just fill you with strength, it brings us all together. It's a joy that's not meant to be kept to yourself; it needs to be shared. Just like the Israelites were instructed to celebrate and share what they had with each other, you can spread the joy of the Lord with everyone you know.

This joy challenges you to love your neighbor and share the Gospel. When your heart is joyful in God, you are strong and empowered to spread that joy throughout your community. It's a lasting joy, something no one can take away.

Psalm 98:4-6 says, "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King." You can find so many verses like this that talk about the joy of our God.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

The LORD hath done great things for us; Whereof we are glad.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: And shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Serve the LORD with gladness: Come before his presence with singing.

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

This is the day which the LORD hath made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: But a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.

by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: that as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with thy free spirit.

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: For they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Glory and honour are in his presence; Strength and gladness are in his place.

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: They shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: And in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: Thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: But the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

For thou art the glory of their strength: And in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. For the LORD is our defence; And the Holy One of Israel is our King. Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: Thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Sing praises to God, sing praises: Sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: Sing ye praises with understanding.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
