Intercession is powerful when we do it with God's power. It's about stepping into someone else's shoes and really feeling their struggles. To intercede effectively, you need perseverance, faith, and a holy prayer life. It's about bringing your loved one's needs before God and asking for His divine intervention.
As someone who intercedes, it's important to stay grounded in God's Word. You should be watchful and prayerful. Humility is key – avoid rebellion, pride, and arrogance. Remember to honor God through your tithes and offerings.
Intercession is an act of love, filled with heartfelt pleas and groans before God. You're pleading for someone else's life, their well-being. Sometimes, you might even feel their pain and needs deeply. It's like Paul says in Ephesians 6:18, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray to me, and I will hearken to you.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh:(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Call to me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the lusts of flesh.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Again I say to you, That if two of you shall agree on earth, concerning any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.

Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh:(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
I exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men;
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Wherefore take to you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breast-plate of righteousness;And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which ye will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked.And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching for this purpose with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD; and the LORD heard it: and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.And the people cried to Moses; and when Moses prayed to the LORD, the fire was quenched.

A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD my strength, who teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight;
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Wherefore, seeing we also are encompassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

And you hath he revived, who were dead in trespasses and sins;In which in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:Among whom also we all had our manner of life in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
In which in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called, The Word of God.And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine-press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
