Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.They have mouths, but they do not speak; they have eyes, but they do not see;they have ears, but they do not hear; they have noses, but they do not smell;they have hands, but they do not feel; they have feet, but they do not walk, nor do they make a sound with their throat.Those who make them are like them; so is everyone who trusts in them.

Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.   Selah

They lift it on the shoulder, they carry it, and they set it in its place, and it stands; from its place it does not move. If one shall cry to it, it cannot answer nor save him out of his trouble.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and an everlasting King. At His wrath the earth trembles, and the nations cannot endure His indignation.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

I have hated those who regard worthless idols, but I trust in the Lord.

I am the Lord, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images.

Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart departs from the Lord.

Trust in the Lord forever, for in God the Lord we have an everlasting rock.

What profit is a carved image when its maker has carved it, a cast image, and a teacher of lies, that its maker trusts in what he has shaped when he makes mute idols?

Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after lies.

Let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, “Do not fear; I will help you.”

Let Your lovingkindness, O  Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.

in God have I put my trust; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

For I will surely deliver you, and you will not fall by the sword, but your life will be as plunder to you, because you have put your trust in Me, says the Lord.

To You, O  Lord, I lift up my soul.All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and truth, for those who keep His covenant and His decrees.For Your name’s sake, O  Lord, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.Who is the man who fears the Lord? Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.

When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you. But the wind shall carry them all away, a breath shall take them away. But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land and shall inherit My holy mountain.

My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.

Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence, and His sons will have a place of refuge.

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. Whoever fears is not perfect in love.

I will both lie down in peace and sleep; for You, Lord, make me dwell safely and securely.

For these things I suffer, but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that Day.

My flesh and my heart fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

The Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they take refuge in Him.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge.

This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

When I am afraid, I will trust in You.

The Lord is the strength of His people, and He is the saving refuge of His anointed.

Those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel nor seek the Lord!
