Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: Eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: Noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: Feet have they, but they walk not: Neither speak they through their throat. They that make them are like unto them; So is every one that trusteth in them.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: Which keepeth truth for ever:
What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD.
Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth Unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. For thy name's sake, O LORD, Pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. What man is he that feareth the LORD? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. His soul shall dwell at ease; And his seed shall inherit the earth. The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; And he will shew them his covenant. Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; For he shall pluck my feet out of the net. Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; For I am desolate and afflicted. The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. Look upon mine affliction and my pain; And forgive all my sins. Consider mine enemies; for they are many; And they hate me with cruel hatred. O my God, I trust in thee: Let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain;
Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; He will hear him from his holy heaven With the saving strength of his right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: The LORD will give grace and glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, Upon them that hope in his mercy;
In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: And his children shall have a place of refuge.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: For thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
My flesh and my heart faileth: But God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: For thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; So shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
They that trust in the LORD Shall be as mount Zion, Which cannot be removed, But abideth for ever.
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
As for God, his way is perfect; The word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
The fear of man bringeth a snare: But whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
In God I will praise his word, In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: And whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
but we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear What man shall do unto me.
My goodness, and my fortress; My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I trust; Who subdueth my people under me.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
