VERSES ABOUT HOPE
Hope is so important in our lives, and I want to encourage you to place your hope firmly in God. Trust that you'll see the desires of your heart fulfilled. Keep that spark alive, that drive to keep moving forward until you achieve what you set out to do. Never give up, and place everything you long for in the hands of our Heavenly Father.
As a fellow Christian, never lose sight of the hope we have of seeing our Lord face to face. Because of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made, we are saved by grace and will be with Him for eternity. That's something truly amazing to hold onto.
Hoping in God frees you from fear of the future and from uncertainty. Always trust in God; He will give you the strength to overcome any difficulty. Remember, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.
And let us hold unwaveringly to the hope that we confess, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy.
But those who wait for the Lord’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.
The Lord’s loyal kindness never ceases; his compassions never end.They are fresh every morning; your faithfulness is abundant!
For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees?But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he gave us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Why are you depressed, O my soul? Why are you upset? Wait for God! For I will again give thanks to my God for his saving intervention.
through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory.Now the law came in so that the transgression may increase, but where sin increased, grace multiplied all the more,so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Not only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,and endurance, character, and character, hope.And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Where would I be if I did not believe I would experience the Lord’s favor in the land of the living?Rely on the Lord! Be strong and confident! Rely on the Lord!
Look, the Lord takes notice of his loyal followers, those who wait for him to demonstrate his faithfulnessby saving their lives from death and sustaining them during times of famine.Give thanks to the Lord with the harp! Sing to him to the accompaniment of a ten-stringed instrument!We wait for the Lord; he is our deliverer and shield.For our hearts rejoice in him, for we trust in his holy name.May we experience your faithfulness, O Lord, for we wait for you.
But I will keep watching for the Lord; I will wait for the God who delivers me. My God will hear my lament.
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and steadfast, which reaches inside behind the curtain,
But since we are of the day, we must stay sober by putting on the breastplate of faith and love and as a helmet our hope for salvation.
How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,
Kings will be your children’s guardians; their princesses will nurse your children. With their faces to the ground they will bow down to you and they will lick the dirt on your feet. Then you will recognize that I am the Lord; those who wait patiently for me are not put to shame.
because we recall in the presence of our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
And you will be secure, because there is hope; you will be protected and will take your rest in safety.
Against hope Abraham believed in hope with the result that he became the father of many nations according to the pronouncement, “so will your descendants be.”
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Lord takes delight in his faithful followers, and in those who wait for his loyal love.
O Israel, hope in the Lord, for the Lord exhibits loyal love, and is more than willing to deliver.
For everything that was written in former times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope.
for the needy are not permanently ignored, the hopes of the oppressed are not forever dashed.
And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,
Even if the mountains are removed and the hills displaced, my devotion will not be removed from you, nor will my covenant of friendship be displaced,” says the Lord, the one who has compassion on you.

Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the Lord gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer.”
whenever I remember you on my bed, and think about you during the nighttime hours.For you are my deliverer; under your wings I rejoice.
For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Therefore we do not despair, but even if our physical body is wearing away, our inner person is being renewed day by day.For our momentary, light suffering is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparisonbecause we are not looking at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen. For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.
Likewise, know that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, you will have a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
How great is your favor, which you store up for your loyal followers! In plain sight of everyone you bestow it on those who take shelter in you.
In fact this is why we work hard and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of believers.
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope,encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good thing you do or say.
Therefore, get your minds ready for action by being fully sober, and set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
But now, O Lord, upon what am I relying? You are my only hope!Deliver me from all my sins of rebellion! Do not make me the object of fools’ insults!
I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage – I have conquered the world.”
But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. We are of his house, if in fact we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope we take pride in.
The Lord delivers and vindicates me! I fear no one! The Lord protects my life! I am afraid of no one!
Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think,to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Your faith and love have arisen from the hope laid up for you in heaven, which you have heard about in the message of truth, the gospel
Though you have allowed me to experience much trouble and distress, revive me once again! Bring me up once again from the depths of the earth!Raise me to a position of great honor! Turn and comfort me!
The Lord is near all who cry out to him, all who cry out to him sincerely.He satisfies the desire of his loyal followers; he hears their cry for help and delivers them.
At that time they will say, “Look, here is our God! We waited for him and he delivered us. Here is the Lord! We waited for him. Let’s rejoice and celebrate his deliverance!”
So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Even when I must walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff reassure me.
“But there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail.Although its roots may grow old in the ground and its stump begins to die in the soil,at the scent of water it will flourish and put forth shoots like a new plant.
When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
He delivered us from so great a risk of death, and he will deliver us. We have set our hope on him that he will deliver us yet again,
In my distress I cried out to the Lord. The Lord answered me and put me in a wide open place.The Lord is on my side, I am not afraid! What can people do to me?
It is better to take shelter in the Lord than to trust in people.It is better to take shelter in the Lord than to trust in princes.
For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared to the glory that will be revealed to us.

The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he delivers those who are discouraged.The godly face many dangers, but the Lord saves them from each one of them.

No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.

I say this about the Lord, my shelter and my stronghold, my God in whom I trust –he will certainly rescue you from the snare of the hunter and from the destructive plague.He will shelter you with his wings; you will find safety under his wings. His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall.
For the Lord God is our sovereign protector. The Lord bestows favor and honor; he withholds no good thing from those who have integrity.O Lord who rules over all, how blessed are those who trust in you!
Indeed you will go out with joy; you will be led along in peace; the mountains and hills will give a joyful shout before you, and all the trees in the field will clap their hands.Evergreens will grow in place of thorn bushes, firs will grow in place of nettles; they will be a monument to the Lord, a permanent reminder that will remain.

Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you and I will never abandon you.”So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”
The spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has chosen me. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives, and the freeing of prisoners,I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; I will be overjoyed because of my God. For he clothes me in garments of deliverance; he puts on me a robe symbolizing vindication. I look like a bridegroom when he wears a turban as a priest would; I look like a bride when she puts on her jewelry.For just as the ground produces its crops and a garden yields its produce, so the sovereign Lord will cause deliverance to grow, and give his people reason to praise him in the sight of all the nations.to announce the year when the Lord will show his favor, the day when our God will seek vengeance, to console all who mourn,to strengthen those who mourn in Zion, by giving them a turban, instead of ashes, oil symbolizing joy, instead of mourning, a garment symbolizing praise, instead of discouragement. They will be called oaks of righteousness, trees planted by the Lord to reveal his splendor.
Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Guide me into your truth and teach me. For you are the God who delivers me; on you I rely all day long.
Indeed, he who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?
And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.
Lord, you have heard the request of the oppressed; you make them feel secure because you listen to their prayer.
But just as it is written, “Things that no eye has seen, or ear heard, or mind imagined, are the things God has prepared for those who love him.”
I cry out to you, O Lord; I say, “You are my shelter, my security in the land of the living.”
But we passionately want each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of your hope until the end,so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherit the promises.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is an eternal God, the creator of the whole earth. He does not get tired or weary; there is no limit to his wisdom.He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.
As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and that as the last he will stand upon the earth.And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God,whom I will see for myself, and whom my own eyes will behold, and not another. My heart grows faint within me.
Wait patiently for the Lord! Wait confidently for him! Do not fret over the apparent success of a sinner, a man who carries out wicked schemes!Do not be angry and frustrated! Do not fret! That only leads to trouble!Wicked men will be wiped out, but those who rely on the Lord are the ones who will possess the land.
Boast about his holy name! Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!Their land was overrun by frogs, which even got into the rooms of their kings.He ordered flies to come; gnats invaded their whole territory.He sent hail along with the rain; there was lightning in their land.He destroyed their vines and fig trees, and broke the trees throughout their territory.He ordered locusts to come, innumerable grasshoppers.They ate all the vegetation in their land, and devoured the crops of their fields.He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of their reproductive power.He brought his people out enriched with silver and gold; none of his tribes stumbled.Egypt was happy when they left, for they were afraid of them.He spread out a cloud for a cover, and provided a fire to light up the night.Seek the Lord and the strength he gives! Seek his presence continually!
The wicked will be thrown down in his trouble, but the righteous have refuge even in the threat of death.

For the kingdom of God does not consist of food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him when he is in trouble; I will rescue him and bring him honor.
I call to you for you will answer me, O God. Listen to me! Hear what I say!Accomplish awesome, faithful deeds, you who powerfully deliver those who look to you for protection from their enemies.
Those whom the Lord has ransomed will return; they will enter Zion with a happy shout. Unending joy will crown them, happiness and joy will overwhelm them; grief and suffering will disappear.
Trust in him at all times, you people! Pour out your hearts before him! God is our shelter! (Selah)
The name of the Lord is like a strong tower; the righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high.

Come! Listen, all you who are loyal to God! I will declare what he has done for me.I cried out to him for help and praised him with my tongue.If I had harbored sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.However, God heard; he listened to my prayer.Sing praises about the majesty of his reputation! Give him the honor he deserves!God deserves praise, for he did not reject my prayer or abandon his love for me!
But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess.
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will trouble, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?As it is written, “For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us!
From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,
Lord, be merciful to us! We wait for you. Give us strength each morning! Deliver us when distress comes.
He will surely give me shelter in the day of danger; he will hide me in his home; he will place me on an inaccessible rocky summit.
Now we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest who have no hope.For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also we believe that God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep as Christians.

For every one of God’s promises are “Yes” in him; therefore also through him the “Amen” is spoken, to the glory we give to God.
He gave me reason to sing a new song, praising our God. May many see what God has done, so that they might swear allegiance to him and trust in the Lord!
