Think about humility, gentleness, patience, and living together in harmony. These are so important for us as believers. We're all connected in Christ, part of the same spiritual body. It's a powerful image, isn't it?

Ephesians 2:15-16¹ talks about how Christ broke down the walls between us, creating peace and bringing us together as one. He abolished the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. It's a reminder that our unity comes from Him.

And remember Jesus's prayer in John 17:21-22², just before he went to the cross? He prayed for us, that we would all be one, just as he and the Father are one. He longed for that unity, for us to reflect that incredible bond to the world. It's a pretty amazing thing to be part of.

Share with the saints in their needs;  pursue hospitality.

You are witnesses,  and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously,  and blamelessly  we conducted ourselves with you believers.

Pray  at all times in the Spirit  with every prayer and request, and stay alert  with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.

And he who searches our hearts  knows the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you greetings.

Iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another.

For the ministry of this service  is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

At the moment I am travelling to Jerusalem  to serve the saints,

Now about the collection  for the saints: Do the same as I instructed the Galatian  churches.

To the church of God at Corinth,  to those sanctified  in Christ Jesus, called  as saints, with all those in every place who call on the name  of Jesus Christ our Lord #– #both their Lord and ours. Where is the one who is wise? Where is the teacher of the law?  Where is the debater of this age?  Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish?For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of what is preached.For the Jews ask for signs  and the Greeks seek wisdom,but we preach Christ crucified,  a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.Yet to those who are called,  both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God,because God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.Brothers and sisters, consider your calling: Not many were wise from a human perspective,  not many powerful,  not many of noble birth.Instead, God has chosen  what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong.God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world   #– #what is viewed as nothing #– #to bring to nothing what is viewed as something,so that no one  may boast in his presence.Grace to you and peace from God our Father  and the Lord Jesus Christ.

To all who are in Rome, loved by God,  called  as saints. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Can two walk together without agreeing to meet?

Again, truly I tell you, if two of you on earth agree about any matter that you   pray for, it will be done for you   by my Father in heaven.He called a small child and stood him among them.For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them.’

‘But you are not to be called “Rabbi,” because you have one Teacher,   and you are all brothers and sisters.

‘I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love   one another.’

I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you.   Holy   Father, protect   them by your name   that you have given me, so that they may be one   as we are   one.

May they all be one,   as you, Father, are in me and I am in you.   May they also be   in us, so that the world may believe you sent me.I have given them the glory   you have given me, so that they may be one as we are one.I am in them and you are in me,   so that they may be made completely one, that the world may know you have sent me and have loved   them as you have loved me.

They all were continually united  in prayer,  along with the women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

When the day of Pentecost had arrived, they were all together in one place.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching,  to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles.Now all the believers were together and held all things in common.

Now the entire group of those who believed were of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but instead they held everything in common.With great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on all of them.

Many signs and wonders were being done among the people through the hands of the apostles.  They were all together in Solomon’s Colonnade.

we have unanimously  decided to select men and send them to you along with our dearly loved Barnabas and Paul,

Now as we have many parts in one body,  and all the parts do not have the same function,in the same way we who are many  are one body in Christ  and individually members of one another.

Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters.  Take the lead in honouring one another.

Live in harmony with one another.  Do not be proud;  instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.

So then, let us pursue what promotes peace  and what builds up one another.

Now may the God who gives  endurance and encouragement  grant you to live in harmony with one another,  according to Christ Jesus,so that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ  with one mind and one voice.

Therefore welcome one another,  just as  Christ also welcomed you, to the glory of God.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe,  so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction.

Now he who plants and he who waters are one,  and each will receive his own reward according to his own labour.For we are God’s co-workers.  You are God’s field, God’s building.

Because there is one bread, we who are many are one  body, since all of us share the one bread.

For just as the body is one  and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body #– #so also is Christ.For we were all baptised by  one Spirit into one body #– #whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free #– #and we were all given one Spirit to drink.

As it is, there are many parts, but one body.The eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I don’t need you! ’ Or again, the head can’t say to the feet, ‘I don’t need you! ’

so that there would be no division  in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other.So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.Now you are the body of Christ,  and individual members of it.

Love is patient,  love is kind. Love does not envy,  is not boastful, is not arrogant,is not rude, is not self-seeking,  is not irritable,  and does not keep a record of wrongs.Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures  all things.

since God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

Do everything in love.

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice.  Become mature, be encouraged,  be of the same mind,  be at peace,  and the God of love  and peace will be with you.

There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free,  male and female;  since you are all one  in Christ Jesus.

For he is our peace, who made both groups one  and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In his flesh,he made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that he might create  in himself one  new man from the two, resulting in peace.He did this so that he might reconcile both to God in one body  through the cross, by which he put the hostility to death.

So, then, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household,in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world,  according to the ruler of the power of the air,  the spirit  now working in the disobedient.built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets,  with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.In him the whole building, being put together,  grows into a holy temple in the Lord.In him you are also being built together  for God’s dwelling  in the Spirit.

The Gentiles are co-heirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise  in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord,  urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received,The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens,  to fill all things.And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son,  growing into maturity with a stature  measured by Christ’s fullness.Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching,  by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head   #– #Christ.From him the whole body, fitted and knit together  by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth  of the body for building itself up in love by the proper working of each individual part. Therefore, I say this and testify in the Lord: You should no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thoughts.They are darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them and because  of the hardness of their hearts.They became callous and gave themselves over to promiscuity for the practice of every kind of impurity  with a desire for more and more. with all humility  and gentleness, with patience,  bearing  with one another in love,But that is not how you came to know Christ,assuming you heard about him and were taught by him, as the truth  is in Jesus,to take off  , your former way of life,  the old self  that is corrupted by deceitful desires,to be renewed  in the spirit  of your minds,and to put on  , the new self, the one created  according to God’s likeness  in righteousness and purity of the truth. Therefore, putting away  lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbour,   , because we are members of one another.Be angry and do not sin.   , Don’t let the sun go down on your anger,and don’t give the devil an opportunity.Let the thief no longer steal. Instead, he is to do honest work with his own hands, so that he has something to share  with anyone in need.No foul language should come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need,  so that it gives grace to those who hear.making every effort to keep the unity  of the Spirit  through the bond of peace.

There is one body and one Spirit   #– #just as you were called to one hope  , at your calling #– #one Lord,  one faith,  one baptism,one God  and Father  of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son,  growing into maturity with a stature  measured by Christ’s fullness.

But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head   #– #Christ.From him the whole body, fitted and knit together  by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth  of the body for building itself up in love by the proper working of each individual part.

And be kind  and compassionate  to one another, forgiving  one another, just as God also forgave you  in Christ.

Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life  worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm  in one  spirit, in one accord,  contending together for the faith  of the gospel,

If, then, there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love,  if any fellowship with the Spirit,  if any affection and mercy,so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow   – in heaven  and on earth and under the earth   – and every tongue  will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory  of God the Father. Therefore, my dear friends,  just as you have always obeyed,  so now, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work according to his good purpose.Do everything without grumbling  and arguing,so that you may be blameless  and pure,  children of God who are faultless  in a crooked  and perverted  generation,  among whom you shine like stars in the world,by holding firm to the word  of life. Then I can boast  in the day of Christ  that I didn’t run or labour for nothing.But even if I am poured out  as a drink offering  on the sacrificial service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.In the same way you should also be glad and rejoice with me.Now I hope in the Lord Jesus  to send Timothy  to you soon so that I too may be encouraged by news about you.make my joy complete by thinking the same way,  having the same love,  united in spirit, intent on one  purpose.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition  or conceit,  but in humility  consider others as more important  than yourselves.because he came close to death for the work  of Christ, risking his life to make up what was lacking in your ministry to me.Everyone should look not to his own interests,  but rather to the interests of others.

Do everything without grumbling  and arguing,

I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to agree in the Lord.Now to our God and Father  be glory for ever and ever.  Amen. Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you greetings.All the saints send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s  household.The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.  ,Yes, I also ask you, true partner,  to help these women who have contended for the gospel at my side, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers whose names are in the book of life.

He is also the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything.

I want their hearts to be encouraged  and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of complete understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery   #– #Christ.  ,

Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved,  put on compassion, kindness,  humility,  gentleness,  and patience,bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive.Above all, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called  in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.

and to regard them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace  among yourselves.

And we exhort you, brothers and sisters:  warn those who are idle,  comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient  with everyone.See to it that no one repays evil for evil  to anyone,  but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, since your faith is flourishing and the love  each one of you has for one another  is increasing.

Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers,and is well known for good works   #– #that is, if she has brought up children, shown hospitality,  washed the saints’ feet,  helped the afflicted,  and devoted herself to every good work.But refuse to enrol younger widows, for when they are drawn away from Christ by desire, they want to marryand will therefore receive condemnation  because they have renounced their original pledge.At the same time, they also learn to be idle, going from house to house; they are not only idle, but are also gossips  and busybodies, saying things they shouldn’t say.Therefore, I want younger women to marry,  have children, manage their households, and give the adversary no opportunity to accuse us.For some have already turned away  to follow Satan.If any  believing woman has widows in her family, let her help them. Let the church not be burdened, so that it can help widows in genuine need. The elders who are good leaders are to be considered worthy of double honour,  especially those who work hard  at preaching and teaching.For the Scripture says: Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,   , and, ‘The worker is worthy of his wages.’ Don’t accept an accusation against an elder unless it is supported by two or three witnesses.older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters with all purity.

Flee  from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace,  along with those who call on the Lord  from a pure heart.But reject foolish and ignorant disputes, because you know that they breed quarrels.

Remind them to submit  to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,Reject a divisive  person after a first and second warning.For you know that such a person has gone astray and is sinning; he is self-condemned.When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you,  make every effort to come to me  in Nicopolis, because I have decided to spend the winter there.Diligently help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos  on their journey, so that they will lack  nothing. Let our people learn to devote themselves to good works for pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.All those who are with me send you greetings. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with all of you.to slander no one, to avoid fighting, and to be kind, always showing gentleness  to all people.

But encourage each other daily,  while it is still called today, so that none of you is hardened  by sin’s deception.

And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works,not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other,  and all the more as you see the day approaching.

Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness   #– #without it no one will see the Lord.

Let brotherly love  continue.

My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger,Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials,for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretence.And the fruit of righteousness  is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.

Since you have purified yourselves by your obedience to the truth,  so that you show sincere brotherly love for each other,  from a pure  heart love one another constantly,  ,

you yourselves, as living stones, a spiritual house, are being built to be a holy priesthood  to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God  through Jesus Christ.

Finally, all of you be like-minded and sympathetic, love one another,  and be compassionate  and humble,not paying back evil for evil  or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing,  since you were called for this, so that you may inherit a blessing.

In the same way, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. All of you clothe yourselves with  humility towards one another, because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.   , Humble  yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand  of God, so that he may exalt you at the proper time,

Greet one another with a kiss of love.  Peace  to all of you who are in Christ.

godliness with brotherly affection,  and brotherly affection with love.

If we walk in the light  as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus  his Son cleanses us from all sin.

For this is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another,

This is how we have come to know love: He laid down his life  for us.  We should also lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.If anyone has this world’s goods  and sees a fellow believer  in need  but withholds compassion  from him #– #how does God’s love reside in him?Little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth.

Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God  and knows God.The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Dear friends, if God loved us in this way, we also must love one another.No one has ever seen God.  If we love one another, God remains in  us and his love is made complete in us.

If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and yet hates his brother or sister,  he is a liar.  For the person who does not love his brother or sister  whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.And we have this command from him: The one who loves God must also love his brother and sister.

Therefore, we ought to support such people so that we can be co-workers with the truth.

But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,keep yourselves in the love of God,  waiting expectantly for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life.

save others by snatching them from the fire;  have mercy on others but with fear,  hating  even the garment  defiled by the flesh.

I, John, your brother and partner in the affliction,  kingdom,  and endurance  that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

Indeed, the body is not one part but many.

I do not mean that we lord it over your faith, but we are workers with you for your joy, because you stand firm in your  faith.

Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.

No foul language should come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need,  so that it gives grace to those who hear.

Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,  singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

But as for you, brothers and sisters, do not grow weary  in doing good.

Remember those in prison, as though you were in prison with them, and the mistreated,  as though you yourselves were suffering bodily.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.

Finally, all of you be like-minded and sympathetic, love one another,  and be compassionate  and humble,

Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God  and knows God.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God,  and everyone who loves the Father  also loves the one born of him.

Prayer
