Forgiving others brings such freedom. It's like taking off a heavy backpack you've been carrying for way too long. There's a real beauty to forgiveness, and anyone who's experienced both giving and receiving it knows what I mean. God is our ultimate example, right? He shows us how it's done and calls us to practice it every single day.
So, I encourage you to forgive, just as Christ forgives you – every single day. It's time to let go and be free. Let's be real, in this life, someone is bound to hurt or offend you. But even then, we're called to learn to forgive and love again. Get that bitterness out of your system. Trust me, it'll help you grow and move forward. It'll even strengthen your relationship with God.
As children of God, we rejoice because we've received forgiveness for our sins through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. But it's important to remember that just as we've been forgiven, our hearts need to be ready to forgive others. Mark 11:251 says, "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses." As long as we repent and are faithful in forgiving others, God will completely forgive us. And that's when we can truly have a fresh start!
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who insult you and persecute you,
But to you that hear I say, Love your enemies; do good to those that hate you;bless those that curse you; pray for those who use you despitefully.
If therefore thine enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for, so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.
For if ye forgive men their offences, your heavenly Father also will forgive you yours,but if ye do not forgive men their offences, neither will your Father forgive your offences.
and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any should have a complaint against any; even as the Christ has forgiven you, so also doye.
And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And, parting out his garments, they cast lots.
Then Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? until seven times?Jesus says to him, I say not to thee until seven times, but until seventy times seven.
recompensing to no one evil for evil: providing things honest before all men:if possible, as far as depends on you, living in peace with all men;
not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing others, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thy heart be glad when he stumbleth;
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:for thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and Jehovah shall reward thee.
If any one say, I love God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?And this commandment have we from him, That he that loves God love also his brother.
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return, and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Highest; for he is good to the unthankful and wicked.
A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.By this shall all know that ye are disciples of mine, if ye have love amongst yourselves.
Love has long patience, is kind; love is not emulous of others; love is not insolent and rash, is not puffed up,does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil,does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth,bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children,proving what is agreeable to the Lord;and do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also reprove them,for the things that are done by them in secret it is shameful even to say.But all things having their true character exposed by the light are made manifest; for that which makes everything manifest is light.Wherefore he says, Wake up, thou that sleepest, and arise up from among the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise,redeeming the time, because the days are evil.For this reason be not foolish, but understanding what is the will of the Lord.And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and chanting with your heart to the Lord;and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.
but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;
Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
Ye have heard that it has been said, Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.But I say unto you, not to resist evil; but whoever shall strike thee on thy right cheek, turn to him also the other;
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Confess therefore your offences to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The fervent supplication of the righteous man has much power.
Pursue peace with all, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord:watching lest there be any one who lacks the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;
He that covereth transgression seeketh love; but he that bringeth a matter up again separateth very friends.
Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother should sin, rebuke him; and if he should repent, forgive him.after this manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.In that day, he who shall be on the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not go down to take it away; and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.Remember the wife of Lot.Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose it shall preserve it.I say to you, In that night there shall be two men upon one bed; one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be seized and the other let go.And answering they say to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.And if he should sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times should return to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.
Wherefore receive ye one another, according as the Christ also has received you to the glory of God.
And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your offences.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any should have a complaint against any; even as the Christ has forgiven you, so also doye.
The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger, and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
as to brotherly love, kindly affectioned towards one another: as to honour, each taking the lead in paying it to the other:
Judge not, that ye may not be judged;and if he ask a fish, will give him a serpent?If therefore ye, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to them that ask of him?Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do ye also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide the gate and broad the way that leads to destruction, and many are they who enter in through it.For narrow the gate and straitened the way that leads to life, and they are few who find it.But beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves.By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather a bunch of grapes from thorns, or from thistles figs?So every good tree produces good fruits, but the worthless tree produces bad fruits.A good tree cannot produce bad fruits, nor a worthless tree produce good fruits.Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and art of great loving-kindness unto all that call upon thee.
See that no one render to any evil for evil, but pursue always what is good towards one another and towards all;
Hereby we have known love, because he has laid down his life for us; and we ought for the brethren to lay down our lives.
shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow-bondman, as I also had compassion on thee?
who, when reviled, reviled not again; when suffering, threatened not; but gave himself over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual power of wickedness in the heavenlies.
and all things are of the God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation:how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation.
but God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love wherewith he loved us,(we too being dead in offences,) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are saved by grace,)
Thus also my heavenly Father shall do to you if ye forgive not from your hearts every one his brother.
And a bondman of the Lord ought not to contend, but be gentle towards all; apt to teach; forbearing;in meekness setting right those who oppose, if God perhaps may sometime give them repentance to acknowledgment of the truth,
And judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned. Remit, and it shall be remitted to you.
For if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much rather, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in the power of his life.
But when they continued asking him, he lifted himself up and said to them, Let him that is without sin among you first cast the stone at her.
with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love;
let nothing be in the spirit of strife or vain glory, but, in lowliness of mind, each esteeming the other as more excellent than themselves;
and labour, working with our own hands. Railed at, we bless; persecuted, we suffer it;
But thou, why judgest thou thy brother? or again, thou, why dost thou make little of thy brother? for we shall all be placed before the judgment-seat of God.
Because I will be merciful to their unrighteousnesses, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will never remember any more.
Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted.
But go and learn what that is — I will have mercy and not sacrifice; for I have not come to call righteous men but sinners.
but, holding the truth in love, we may grow up to him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:
But now, put off, ye also, all these things, wrath, anger, malice, blasphemy, vile language out of your mouth.
The good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, brings forth good; and the wicked man out of the wicked, brings forth what is wicked: for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
The Lord does not delay his promise, as some account of delay, but is longsuffering towards you, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
So then let us pursue the things which tend to peace, and things whereby one shall build up another.
So that, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into various temptations,for man's wrath does not work God's righteousness.
in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of offences, according to the riches of his grace;
For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;who, when reviled, reviled not again; when suffering, threatened not; but gave himself over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, every one who judgest, for in that in which thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
Behold, I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves; be therefore prudent as the serpents, and guileless as the doves.
But you, may the Lord make to exceed and abound in love toward one another, and toward all, even as we also towards you,in order to the confirming of your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made for all men;but, what becomes women making profession of the fear of God, by good works.Let a woman learn in quietness in all subjection;but I do not suffer a woman to teach nor to exercise authority over man, but to be in quietness;for Adam was formed first, then Eve:and Adam was not deceived; but the woman, having been deceived, was in transgression.But she shall be preserved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with discretion.for kings and all that are in dignity, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all piety and gravity;
For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
But to whom ye forgive anything, I also; for I also, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it is for your sakes in the person of Christ;that we might not have Satan get an advantage against us, for we are not ignorant of his thoughts.
I say unto you, that thus there shall be joy in heaven for one repenting sinner, more than for ninety and nine righteous who have no need of repentance.
And the King answering shall say to them, Verily, I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me.
But we ought, we that are strong, to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.And again he says, Rejoice, nations, with his people.And again, Praise the Lord, all ye nations, and let all the peoples laud him.And again, Esaias says, There shall be the root of Jesse, and one that arises, to rule over the nations: in him shall the nations hope.Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.But I am persuaded, my brethren, I myself also, concerning you, that yourselves also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.But I have written to you the more boldly, brethren, in part, as putting you in mind, because of the grace given to me by God,for me to be minister of Christ Jesus to the nations, carrying on as a sacrificial service the message of glad tidings of God, in order that the offering up of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.I have therefore whereof to boast in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.For I will not dare to speak anything of the things which Christ has not wrought by me, for the obedience of the nations, by word and deed,in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God; so that I, from Jerusalem, and in a circuit round to Illyricum, have fully preached the glad tidings of the Christ;Let each one of us please his neighbour with a view to what is good, to edification.
For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are noble, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are amiable, whatsoever things areof good report; if there be any virtue and if any praise, think on these things.
But he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thine understanding; and thy neighbour as thyself.
If I therefore, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet;for I have given you an example that, as I have done to you, ye should do also.
Let your light thus shine before men, so that they may see your upright works, and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.
Likewise ye younger, be subject to the elder, and all of you bind on humility towards one another; for God sets himself against the proud, but to the humble gives grace.Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the due time;
Let brotherly love abide.We have an altar of which they have no right to eat who serve the tabernacle;for of those beasts whose blood is carried as sacrifices for sin into the holy of holies by the high priest, of these the bodies are burned outside the camp.Wherefore also Jesus, that he might sanctify the people by his own blood, suffered without the gate:therefore let us go forth to him without the camp, bearing his reproach:for we have not here an abiding city, but we seek the coming one.By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise continually to God, that is, the fruit of the lips confessing his name.But of doing good and communicating of your substance be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.Obey your leaders, and be submissive; for they watch over your souls as those that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not groaning, for this would be unprofitable for you.Pray for us: for we persuade ourselves that we have a good conscience, in all things desirous to walk rightly.But I much more beseech you to do this, that I may the more quickly be restored to you.Be not forgetful of hospitality; for by it some have unawares entertained angels.
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself;
Beloved, let us love one another; because love is of God, and every one that loves has been begotten of God, and knows God.
For the rest, brethren, rejoice; be perfected; be encouraged; be of one mind; be at peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?According as it is written, For thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we have been reckoned as sheep for slaughter.But in all these things we more than conquer through him that has loved us.
My children, these things I write to you in order that ye may not sin; and if any one sin, we have a patron with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
Do ye not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God; and ye are not your own?Do ye not then know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy of the smallest judgments?for ye have been bought with a price: glorify now then God in your body.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it.
Brethren, I do not count to have got possession myself; but one thing — forgetting the things behind, and stretching out to the things before,I pursue, looking towards the goal, for the prize of the calling on high of God in Christ Jesus.
But we do know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose.
I am crucified with Christ, and no longer live, I, but Christ lives in me; but in that I now live in flesh, I live by faith, the faith of the Son of God, who has loved me and given himself for me.
for judgment will be without mercy to him that has shewn no mercy. Mercy glories over judgment.
saying, Father, if thou wilt remove this cup from me: — but then, not my will, but thine be done.
Let us also therefore, having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, laying aside every weight, and sin which so easily entangles us, run with endurance the race that lies before us,For they indeed chastened for a few days, as seemed good to them; but he for profit, in order to the partaking of his holiness.But no chastening at the time seems to be matter of joy, but of grief; but afterwards yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those exercised by it.Wherefore lift up the hands that hang down, and the failing knees;and make straight paths for your feet, that that which is lame be not turned aside; but that rather it may be healed.Pursue peace with all, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord:watching lest there be any one who lacks the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one meal sold his birthright;for ye know that also afterwards, desiring to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, (for he found no place for repentance) although he sought it earnestly with tears.For ye have not come to the mount that might be touched and was all on fire, and to obscurity, and darkness, and tempest,and trumpet's sound, and voice of words; which they that heard, excusing themselves, declined the word being addressed to them any more:looking stedfastly on Jesus the leader and completer of faith: who, in view of the joy lying before him, endured the cross, having despised the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
What then shall we say? Should we continue in sin that grace may abound?For in that he has died, he has died to sin once for all; but in that he lives, he lives to God.So also ye, reckon yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body to obey its lusts.Neither yield your members instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but yield yourselves to God as alive from among the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness to God.For sin shall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under law but under grace.What then? should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Far be the thought.Know ye not that to whom ye yield yourselves bondmen for obedience, ye are bondmen to him whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?But thanks be to God, that ye were bondmen of sin, but have obeyed from the heart the form of teaching into which ye were instructed.Now, having got your freedom from sin, ye have become bondmen to righteousness.I speak humanly on account of the weakness of your flesh. For even as ye have yielded your members in bondage to uncleanness and to lawlessness unto lawlessness, so now yield your members in bondage to righteousness unto holiness.Far be the thought. We who have died to sin, how shall we still live in it?
having confidence of this very thing, that he who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto Jesus Christ's day:
in order that he may give you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power by his Spirit in the inner man;that the Christ may dwell, through faith, in your hearts, being rooted and founded in love,
Which now of these three seems to thee to have been neighbour of him who fell into the hands of the robbers?And he said, He that shewed him mercy. And Jesus said to him, Go, and do thou likewise.
Him who knew not sin he has made sin for us, that we might become God's righteousness in him.
Ye are the salt of the earth; but if the salt have become insipid, wherewith shall it be salted? It is no longer fit for anything but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot by men.Ye are the light of the world: a city situated on the top of a mountain cannot be hid.
I have combated the good combat, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.Henceforth the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will render to me in that day; but not only to me, but also to all who love his appearing.
And this is the boldness which we have towards him, that if we ask him anything according to his will he hears us.And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside still waters.He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another out of a pure heart fervently;
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
for it is God who works in you both the willing and the working according to his good pleasure.
but sanctify the Lord the Christ in your hearts, and be always prepared to give an answer to every one that asks you to give an account of the hope that is in you, but with meekness and fear;
And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, laid upon a bed; and Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Be of good courage, child; thy sins are forgiven.
so as to walk worthily of the Lord unto all well-pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing by the true knowledge of God;
We know that every one begotten of God does not sin, but he that has been begotten of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.
for ye were once darkness, but now light in the Lord; walk as children of light,(for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,)
And not only that, but we also boast in tribulations, knowing that tribulation works endurance;and endurance, experience; and experience, hope;
But if any one of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all freely and reproaches not, and it shall be given to him:
But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
I leave peace with you; I give my peace to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it fear.
Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
Confide in Jehovah with all thy heart, and lean not unto thine own intelligence;in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will make plain thy paths.
Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all say the same thing, and that there be not among you divisions; but that ye be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same opinion.
