Forgiving others brings such freedom. It's like taking off a heavy backpack you've been carrying for way too long. There's a real beauty to forgiveness, and anyone who's experienced both giving and receiving it knows what I mean. God is our ultimate example, right? He shows us how it's done and calls us to practice it every single day.
So, I encourage you to forgive, just as Christ forgives you – every single day. It's time to let go and be free. Let's be real, in this life, someone is bound to hurt or offend you. But even then, we're called to learn to forgive and love again. Get that bitterness out of your system. Trust me, it'll help you grow and move forward. It'll even strengthen your relationship with God.
As children of God, we rejoice because we've received forgiveness for our sins through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. But it's important to remember that just as we've been forgiven, our hearts need to be ready to forgive others. Mark 11:251 says, "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses." As long as we repent and are faithful in forgiving others, God will completely forgive us. And that's when we can truly have a fresh start!
But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,
“But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.
Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.”
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Messiah forgave you.
bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Messiah forgave you, so you also do.
Yeshua said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.
Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?”Yeshua said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.
Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men.If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.
not rendering evil for evil or insult for insult; but instead blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
Don’t rejoice when your enemy falls. Don’t let your heart be glad when he is overthrown,
If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink;for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD will reward you.
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us.
If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light. Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you.”Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;Walk in love, even as Messiah also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.”
And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins.
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Messiah forgave you.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord, looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you and many be defiled by it,
He who covers an offense promotes love; but he who repeats a matter separates best friends.
Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed. In that day, he who will be on the housetop and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.Remember Lot’s wife!Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. One will be taken and the other will be left. There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken and the other will be left.”They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there the vultures will also be gathered together.”If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.
Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Messiah forgave you, so you also do.
The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger. It is his glory to overlook an offense.
In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor prefer one another,
“Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the Torah and the Prophets.“Enter in by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in by it.How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit.A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Messiah Yeshua, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Yeshua the Messiah, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;namely, that God was in Messiah reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Messiah—by grace you have been saved—
So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.”
The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient,in gentleness correcting those who oppose him. Perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free.
For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”
doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;
We toil, working with our own hands. When people curse us, we bless. Being persecuted, we endure.
But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Messiah.
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more.”
Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.
But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
The merciful man does good to his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.
but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Messiah,
but now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.
The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
So then, let’s follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build one another up.
So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.
In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace
For you were called to this, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps, who didn’t sin, “neither was deceit found in his mouth.”When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.
Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you,to the end he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Yeshua with all his holy ones.
I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men,but with good works, which is appropriate for women professing godliness.Let a woman learn in quietness with full submission. But I don’t permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness. For Adam was formed first, then Havah.Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;but she will be saved through her childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness with sobriety.for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.
Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Messiah, that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.Again he says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” Again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Let all the peoples praise him.” Again, Isaiah says, “There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will hope.” Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit.I myself am also persuaded about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others. But I write the more boldly to you in part as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,that I should be a servant of Messiah Yeshua to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of the Good News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.I have therefore my boasting in Messiah Yeshua in things pertaining to God.For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Messiah worked through me for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God’s Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Messiah;Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
If I then, the Lord and the Rabbi, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should also do as I have done to you.
Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility and subject yourselves to one another; for “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,
Let brotherly love continue. We have an altar from which those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat.For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp. Therefore Yeshua also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate.Let’s therefore go out to him outside of the camp, bearing his reproach. For we don’t have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come.Through him, then, let’s offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name. But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you.Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.I strongly urge you to do this, that I may be restored to you sooner.Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Even as it is written, “For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Yeshua the Messiah, the righteous.
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,Don’t you know that the holy ones will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Don’t withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.
Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before,I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Messiah Yeshua.
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
I have been crucified with Messiah, and it is no longer I who live, but Messiah lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me.
For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
Therefore let’s also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with perseverance the race that is set before us,For they indeed for a few days disciplined us as seemed good to them, but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness. All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.Therefore lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord, looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you and many be defiled by it,lest there be any sexually immoral person or profane person, like Esau, who sold his birthright for one meal. For you know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for a change of mind though he sought it diligently with tears. For you have not come to a mountain that might be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness, darkness, storm, the sound of a shofar, and the voice of words; which those who heard it begged that not one more word should be spoken to them, looking to Yeshua, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Messiah Yeshua our Lord. Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!Don’t you know that when you present yourselves as servants and obey someone, you are the servants of whomever you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, whereas you were bondservants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were delivered.Being made free from sin, you became bondservants of righteousness.I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh; for as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Yeshua the Messiah.
that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person, that Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?”He said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Yeshua said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
“You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.
I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,
But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear,
Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Yeshua, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”
that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God,
We know that whoever is born of God doesn’t sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn’t touch him.
For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,
Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Messiah Yeshua.
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Yeshua the Messiah, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
