Forgiving others brings such freedom. It's like taking off a heavy backpack you've been carrying for way too long. There's a real beauty to forgiveness, and anyone who's experienced both giving and receiving it knows what I mean. God is our ultimate example, right? He shows us how it's done and calls us to practice it every single day.
So, I encourage you to forgive, just as Christ forgives you – every single day. It's time to let go and be free. Let's be real, in this life, someone is bound to hurt or offend you. But even then, we're called to learn to forgive and love again. Get that bitterness out of your system. Trust me, it'll help you grow and move forward. It'll even strengthen your relationship with God.
As children of God, we rejoice because we've received forgiveness for our sins through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. But it's important to remember that just as we've been forgiven, our hearts need to be ready to forgive others. Mark 11:251 says, "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses." As long as we repent and are faithful in forgiving others, God will completely forgive us. And that's when we can truly have a fresh start!
“But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for the ones who mistreat you.
Rather, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For by doing so you will heap coals of fire upon his head.”
“For if you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.
Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other just as God in Messiah also forgave you.
bearing with one another and forgiving each other, if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord pardoned you, so also you must pardon others.
But Yeshua was saying, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Then they cast lots, dividing up His clothing.
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Master, how often shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?”Yeshua said to him, “No, not up to seven times, I tell you, but seventy times seven!
Repay no one evil for evil; give thought to what is good in the eyes of all people. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live in shalom with all people.
Do not repay evil for evil or insult for insult, but give a blessing instead—it is for this reason you were called, so that you might inherit a blessing.
If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap coals of fire on his head and Adonai will reward you.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us.
If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For the one who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him: that the one who loves God should also love his brother.
“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great and you will be sons of Elyon, for He is kind to the ungrateful and evil ones.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so also you must love one another.By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not brag, it is not puffed up,it does not behave inappropriately, it does not seek its own way, it is not provoked, it keeps no account of wrong,it does not rejoice over injustice but rejoices in the truth;it bears all things, it believes all things, it hopes all things, it endures all things.
Therefore be imitators of God, as dearly loved children;trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.Take no part in the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them—for it is disgraceful even to mention the things that are done by them in secret.Yet everything exposed by the light is being made visible, for everything made visible is light. This is why it says, “Wake up, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you.”So pay close attention to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise.Make the most of your time because the days are evil. For this reason do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.And do not get drunk on wine, for that is recklessness. Instead, be filled with the Ruach, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your heart to the Lord—and walk in love, just as Messiah also loved us and gave Himself up for us as an offering and sacrifice to God for a fragrant aroma.
Never take your own revenge, loved ones, but give room for God’s wrath—for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,” says Adonai.
Above all, keep your love for one another constant, for “love covers a multitude of sins.”
Get rid of all bitterness and rage and anger and quarreling and slander, along with all malice.Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other just as God in Messiah also forgave you.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’But I tell you, do not resist an evildoer. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him also the other.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
So confess your offenses to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.
Pursue shalom with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God; and see to it that no bitter root springs up and causes trouble, and by it many be defiled.
Whoever covers up an offense seeks love. Whoever repeats a matter separates close friends.
“Keep yourselves alert! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.Things will be the same on the day when the Son of Man is made fully known. In that day, the one who is on the roof, and his possessions in the house, must not go down to take them away. In the same way, the one who is in the field must not turn back.Remember Lot’s wife!Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life will preserve it.“I tell you, on that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken along and the other left. There will be two women grinding at the same place. One will be taken and the other left.”“Where, Lord?” they replied. And He said to them, “Where there is a corpse, there also will the vultures be gathered.”Even if he sins against you seven times a day, and seven times returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”
Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your transgressions.”
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves in tender compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience—bearing with one another and forgiving each other, if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord pardoned you, so also you must pardon others.
Be tenderly devoted to one another in brotherly love; outdo one another in giving honor.
“Stop judging, so that you may not be judged.Or when he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!So in all things, do to others what you would want them to do to you—for this is the Torah and the Prophets.“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow is the gate and difficult the way that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”“Watch out for false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruit. Grapes aren’t gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles, are they?Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the rotten tree produces bad fruit.A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce good fruit.Every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. For with the judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
For You, my Lord, are good, and ready to forgive and full of mercy to all who call upon You.
See that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.
We have come to know love by this—Yeshua laid down His life for us, and we also ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
When one’s ways are pleasing to Adonai, he makes even his enemies be at peace with him.
Wasn’t it necessary for you also to show mercy to your fellow slave, just as I showed mercy to you?’
When He was abused, He did not return the abuse. While suffering, He made no threats. Instead, He kept entrusting Himself to the One who judges righteously.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the worldly forces of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Messiah and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. That is, in Messiah God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them; and He has entrusted the message of reconciliation to us.
But God was rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us.Even when we were dead in our trespasses, He made us alive together with Messiah. (By grace you have been saved!)
“So also My heavenly Father will do to you, unless each of you, from your hearts, forgives his brother.”
The Lord’s slave must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, tolerant.Let him give guidance with humility to those who are in opposition—perhaps God may grant them a change of mind, leading to the knowledge of truth.
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Pardon, and you will be pardoned.
For if, while we were yet enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by His life.
When they kept asking Him, He stood up and said, “The sinless one among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
with complete humility and gentleness, with patience, putting up with one another in love,
Do nothing out of selfishness or conceit, but with humility consider others as more important than yourselves,
We toil, working with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless. When we are persecuted, we endure.
But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you too, why do you look down on your brother? For we all will stand before the judgment seat of God.
For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.”
Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught doing something wrong, you who are directed by the Ruach, restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness—looking closely at yourself so you are not tempted also.
Now go and learn what this means: ‘Mercy I desire, and not sacrifice.’ For I didn’t come to call the righteous, but the sinful.”
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all ways into Messiah, who is the Head.
But now, set them all aside—anger, rage, malice, slander, and foul language out of your mouth.
“Out of the good treasure of his heart the good man brings forth good, and out of evil the evil man brings forth evil. For from the overflow of the heart his mouth speaks.”
The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some consider slowness. Rather, He is being patient toward you—not wanting anyone to perish, but for all to come to repentance.
Know this, my dear brothers and sisters: let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger—Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, for human anger doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.
In Him we have redemption through His blood—the removal of trespasses—in keeping with the richness of His grace
For you were called to this, because Messiah also suffered for you, leaving you an example so that you might follow in His footsteps:“He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth.”When He was abused, He did not return the abuse. While suffering, He made no threats. Instead, He kept entrusting Himself to the One who judges righteously.
Therefore you are without excuse, O man—every one of you who is judging. For by whatever you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
May the Lord also cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another and for all people, just as we also do for you,in order to strengthen your hearts as blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Yeshua with all His kedoshim. Amen.
Therefore, first of all I urge that requests, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made on behalf of all people—but what is suitable for women claiming godliness, through good deeds.Let a woman receive training in a quiet demeanor with complete respect for order. But I do not allow a woman to train or dictate to a man, but to be in a quiet demeanor. For Adam was formed first, then Eve.Also Adam was not deceived but the woman—being deceived, she fell into transgression.Nevertheless, she will be sustained through childbearing—if they continue in faithfulness and love and holiness, with sound judgment.for kings and all who are in authority—so we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and respectfulness.
For, “The one who loves life, wanting to see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. He must turn away from evil and do good. He must seek shalom and pursue it.
Now anyone you forgive, I also forgive. For indeed, what I have forgiven (if I have forgiven anything), I did it for you in the presence of Messiah,so that we might not be outwitted by satan—for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
I tell you, in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one repenting sinner than over the ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.”
“And answering, the King will say to them, ‘Amen, I tell you, whatever you did to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the powerless and not just please ourselves. And again it says, “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people.”And again, “Praise Adonai all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise Him.”And again, Isaiah says, “There shall be a shoot of Jesse; and the One who arises to rule the Gentiles, in Him shall the Gentiles hope.”Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and shalom in trusting, so you may overflow with hope in the power of the Ruach ha-Kodesh.Now I myself am convinced about you, my brothers and sisters, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and also able to counsel one another. But I have written rather boldly to you on some points as a reminder—because of the grace given to me by Godto be a servant of Messiah Yeshua to the Gentiles, in priestly service to the Good News of God—so that the offering up of the Gentiles might be pleasing, made holy by the Ruach ha-Kodesh.So in Messiah Yeshua, I have reason to boast before God.For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Messiah accomplished through me, to bring about the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem and around even to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the Good News of Messiah.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, for building him up.
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise—dwell on these things.
And he replied, “You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
So if I, your Master and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash each other’s feet.I have given you an example—you should do for each other what I have done for you.
In the same way, let your light shine before men so they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Likewise, you younger ones, submit yourselves to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may lift you up at the appropriate time.
Let brotherly love continue. We have an altar from which those serving in the tabernacle have no right to eat.For the bodies of those animals—whose blood is brought into the Holies by the kohen gadol as an offering for sin—are burned outside the camp. Therefore, to make the people holy through His own blood, Yeshua also suffered outside the gate.So let us go to Him outside the camp, bearing His disgrace. For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the one that is to come.Through Yeshua then, let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips giving thanks to His name.Do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as ones who must give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no benefit to you.Pray for us, for we are convinced that we have a clear conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things.I especially urge you to do this, so that I may be restored to you sooner.Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers—for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
For the whole Torah can be summed up in a single saying: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Loved ones, let us love one another, for love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Aim for restoration, encourage one another, be of the same mind, live in shalom—and the God of love and shalom will be with you.
Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.”But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
My children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Intercessor with the Father—the righteous Messiah Yeshua.
Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Ruach ha-Kodesh who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?Don’t you know that the kedoshim will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to judge trivial matters? For you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself as having taken hold of this. But this one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,I press on toward the goal for the reward of the upward calling of God in Messiah Yeshua.
Now we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.
and it is no longer I who live, but Messiah lives in me. And the life I now live in the body, I live by trusting in Ben-Elohim—who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
For judgment is merciless to the one who does not show mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
saying, “Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
Therefore, since we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also get rid of every weight and entangling sin. Let us run with endurance the race set before us,Indeed, for a short time they disciplined us as seemed best to them; but He does so for our benefit, so that we may share in His holiness. Now all discipline seems painful at the moment—not joyful. But later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble! And make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame will not be pulled out of joint but rather be healed.Pursue shalom with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God; and see to it that no bitter root springs up and causes trouble, and by it many be defiled. Also see to it that there is no immoral or godless person—like Esau, who sold his birthright for one meal. For you know that later, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected. He found no chance for repentance, though he begged for it with tears. For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched, and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and storm, and to the blast of a shofar and a voice whose words made those who heard it beg that not another word be spoken to them.focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame; and He has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may abound? For the death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God.So also continually count yourselves both dead to sin and alive to God in Messiah Yeshua. Therefore do not let sin rule in your mortal body so that you obey its desires. And do not keep yielding your body parts to sin as tools of wickedness; but yield yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your body parts as tools of righteousness to God.For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!Do you not know that to whatever you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to what you obey—whether to sin resulting in death, or to obedience resulting in righteousness? But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching under which you were placed;and after you were set free from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you yielded your body parts as slaves to uncleanness and lawlessness, leading to more lawlessness, so now yield your body parts as slaves to righteousness, resulting in holiness.May it never be! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
I am sure of this very thing—that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the Day of Messiah Yeshua.
I pray that from His glorious riches He would grant you to be strengthened in your inner being with power through His Ruach,so that Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
Which of these three seems to you a neighbor to the one attacked by robbers?”And he said, “The one who showed mercy to him.” Then Yeshua said to him, “Go, and you do the same.”
He made the One who knew no sin to become a sin offering on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt should lose its flavor, how shall it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. In the future there is reserved for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not to me only, but also to everyone who has longed for His appearing.
Now this is the confidence we have before Him—that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have the requests we have asked from Him.
A psalm of David. Adonai is my shepherd, I shall not want.He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake.
Now that you have purified your souls in obedience to the truth, leading to sincere brotherly love, love one another fervently from a pure heart.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Instead sanctify Messiah as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you,
Just then, some people brought to Him a paralyzed man lying on a cot. And seeing their faith, Yeshua said to the paralyzed man, “Take courage, son! Your sins are forgiven.”
to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God.
We know that anyone born of God does not keep on sinning; rather, the One born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot touch him.
For once you were darkness, but now in union with the Lord you are light. Walk as children of light(for the fruit of light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
And not only that, but we also boast in suffering—knowing that suffering produces perseverance;and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all without hesitation and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
My God will fulfill every need of yours according to the riches of His glory in Messiah Yeshua.
“Shalom I leave you, My shalom I give to you; but not as the world gives! Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid.
Trust in Adonai with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, through the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and in the same purpose.
