For if ye forgive men their offences, your heavenly Father also will forgive you yours,but if ye do not forgive men their offences, neither will your Father forgive your offences.
and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any should have a complaint against any; even as the Christ has forgiven you, so also doye.
And judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned. Remit, and it shall be remitted to you.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Then Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? until seven times?Jesus says to him, I say not to thee until seven times, but until seventy times seven.
If therefore thou shouldest offer thy gift at the altar, and there shouldest remember that thy brother has something against thee,leave there thy gift before the altar, and first go, be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your offences.
But if any one has grieved, he has grieved, not me, but in part (that I may not overcharge you) all of you.Sufficient to such a one is this rebuke which has been inflicted by the many;so that on the contrary ye should rather shew grace and encourage, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with excessive grief.Wherefore I exhort you to assure him of your love.
He that covereth transgression seeketh love; but he that bringeth a matter up again separateth very friends.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and art of great loving-kindness unto all that call upon thee.
Thus also my heavenly Father shall do to you if ye forgive not from your hearts every one his brother.
Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother should sin, rebuke him; and if he should repent, forgive him.after this manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.In that day, he who shall be on the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not go down to take it away; and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.Remember the wife of Lot.Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose it shall preserve it.I say to you, In that night there shall be two men upon one bed; one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be seized and the other let go.And answering they say to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.And if he should sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times should return to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.
Confess therefore your offences to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The fervent supplication of the righteous man has much power.
in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of offences, according to the riches of his grace;
not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.
For this is my blood, that of the new covenant, that shed for many for remission of sins.
does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil,
And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And, parting out his garments, they cast lots.
not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing others, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted to them; whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:for thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and Jehovah shall reward thee.
Come now, let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Because I will be merciful to their unrighteousnesses, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will never remember any more.
If thou, Jah, shouldest mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand?But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
Who is a ·God like unto thee, that forgiveth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in loving-kindness.He will yet again have compassion on us, he will tread under foot our iniquities: and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy.
Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;
Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do ye also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;
Love has long patience, is kind; love is not emulous of others; love is not insolent and rash, is not puffed up,does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil,does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth,bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Wherefore receive ye one another, according as the Christ also has received you to the glory of God.
Be gracious unto me, O God according to thy loving-kindness; according to the abundance of thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me.Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not the spirit of thy holiness from me.Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and let a willing spirit sustain me.I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall return unto thee.Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God thou God of my salvation: my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare thy praise.For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God thou wilt not despise.Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem.Then shalt thou have sacrifices of righteousness, burnt-offering, and whole burnt-offering; then shall they offer up bullocks upon thine altar.Wash me fully from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger, and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
for judgment will be without mercy to him that has shewn no mercy. Mercy glories over judgment.
who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
But go and learn what that is — I will have mercy and not sacrifice; for I have not come to call righteous men but sinners.
who has delivered us from the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love:in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins;
For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God's gift:not on the principle of works, that no one might boast.
Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted.
watching lest there be any one who lacks the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;
Judge not, that ye may not be judged;and if he ask a fish, will give him a serpent?If therefore ye, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to them that ask of him?Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do ye also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide the gate and broad the way that leads to destruction, and many are they who enter in through it.For narrow the gate and straitened the way that leads to life, and they are few who find it.But beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves.By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather a bunch of grapes from thorns, or from thistles figs?So every good tree produces good fruits, but the worthless tree produces bad fruits.A good tree cannot produce bad fruits, nor a worthless tree produce good fruits.Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.
and all things are of the God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation:how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation.
For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are noble, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are amiable, whatsoever things areof good report; if there be any virtue and if any praise, think on these things.
And a bondman of the Lord ought not to contend, but be gentle towards all; apt to teach; forbearing;in meekness setting right those who oppose, if God perhaps may sometime give them repentance to acknowledgment of the truth,
My children, these things I write to you in order that ye may not sin; and if any one sin, we have a patron with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;He that loves his brother abides in light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.But he that hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and knows not where he goes, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.I write to you, children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.I write to you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because ye have known the Father.I have written to you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him;because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.And the world is passing, and its lust, but he that does the will of God abides for eternity.Little children, it is the last hour, and, according as ye have heard that antichrist comes, even now there have come many antichrists, whence we know that it is the last hour.They went out from among us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have surely remained with us, but that they might be made manifest that none are of us.and he is the propitiation for our sins; but not for ours alone, but also for the whole world.
For which cause I say to thee, Her many sins are forgiven; for she loved much; but he to whom little is forgiven loves little.
Jehovah is nigh to those that are of a broken heart, and saveth them that are of a contrite spirit.
shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow-bondman, as I also had compassion on thee?
By loving-kindness and truth iniquity is atoned for; and by the fear of Jehovah men depart from evil.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.By this shall all know that ye are disciples of mine, if ye have love amongst yourselves.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God for he will abundantly pardon.
Already indeed then it is altogether a fault in you that ye have suits between yourselves. Why do ye not rather suffer wrong? why are ye not rather defrauded?
But to whom ye forgive anything, I also; for I also, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it is for your sakes in the person of Christ;that we might not have Satan get an advantage against us, for we are not ignorant of his thoughts.
See that no one render to any evil for evil, but pursue always what is good towards one another and towards all;
let nothing be in the spirit of strife or vain glory, but, in lowliness of mind, each esteeming the other as more excellent than themselves;because for the sake of the work he drew near even to death, venturing his life that he might fill up what lacked in your ministration toward me.regarding not each his own qualities, but each those of others also.
— I, I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.
for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;being justified freely by his grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children,proving what is agreeable to the Lord;and do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also reprove them,for the things that are done by them in secret it is shameful even to say.But all things having their true character exposed by the light are made manifest; for that which makes everything manifest is light.Wherefore he says, Wake up, thou that sleepest, and arise up from among the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise,redeeming the time, because the days are evil.For this reason be not foolish, but understanding what is the will of the Lord.And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and chanting with your heart to the Lord;and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
Then his lord, having called him to him, says to him, Wicked bondman! I forgave thee all that debt because thou besoughtest me;shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow-bondman, as I also had compassion on thee?
because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual power of wickedness in the heavenlies.
and remit us our sins, for we also remit to every one indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation.
If therefore thine enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for, so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
and almost all things are purified with blood according to the law, and without blood-shedding there is no remission.
For God has not sent his Son into the world that he may judge the world, but that the world may be saved through him.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all.
For this reason I say unto you, Every sin and injurious speaking shall be forgiven to men, but speaking injuriously of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases;Who redeemeth thy life from the pit, who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies;
So that, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;
Let us no longer therefore judge one another; but judge ye this rather, not to put a stumbling-block or a fall-trap before his brother.
but God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love wherewith he loved us,(we too being dead in offences,) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are saved by grace,)
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who insult you and persecute you,
Beloved, let us love one another; because love is of God, and every one that loves has been begotten of God, and knows God.He that loves not has not known God; for God is love.
For we know him that said, To me belongs vengeance; I will recompense, saith the Lord: and again, The Lord shall judge his people.It is a fearful thing falling into the hands of the living God.
But he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thine understanding; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thy heart be glad when he stumbleth;lest Jehovah see it, and it be evil in his sight, and he turn away his anger from him.
But the wisdom from above first is pure, then peaceful, gentle, yielding, full of mercy and good fruits, unquestioning, unfeigned.
And now abide faith, hope, love; these three things; and the greater of these is love.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving-kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith Jehovah, that hath mercy on thee.
in order that he may give you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power by his Spirit in the inner man;that the Christ may dwell, through faith, in your hearts, being rooted and founded in love,
And you, being dead in offences and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has quickened together with him, having forgiven us all the offences;having effaced the handwriting in ordinances which stood out against us, which was contrary to us, he has taken it also out of the way, having nailed it to the cross;
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward them that fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
but as many as received him, to them gave he the right to be children of God, to those that believe on his name;
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God thou wilt not despise.
Blessed they whose lawlessnesses have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered:blessed the man to whom the Lord shall not at all reckon sin.
And having taken the cup and given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it.For this is my blood, that of the new covenant, that shed for many for remission of sins.
For we have not a high priest not able to sympathise with our infirmities, but tempted in all things in like manner, sin apart.Let us approach therefore with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace for seasonable help.
Therefore having been justified on the principle of faith, we have peace towards God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
And the lord of that bondman, being moved with compassion, loosed him and forgave him the loan.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which ye have been sealed for the day of redemption.Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;
Let your word be always with grace, seasoned with salt, so as to know how ye ought to answer each one.
For I say, through the grace which has been given to me, to every one that is among you, not to have high thoughts above what he should think; but to think so as to be wise, as God has dealt to each a measure of faith.
And the tax-gatherer, standing afar off, would not lift up even his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, have compassion on me, the sinner.
Now the God of endurance and of encouragement give to you to be like-minded one toward another, according to Christ Jesus;
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
He that covereth hatred hath lying lips, and he that sendeth forth a slander is a fool.
But that ye may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then he says to the paralytic,) Rise up, take up thy bed and go to thy house.
For as many things as have been written before have been written for our instruction, that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
Wherefore come out from the midst of them, and be separated, saith the Lord, and touch not what is unclean, and I will receive you;
But if thy brother sin against thee, go, reprove him between thee and him alone. If he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
I am crucified with Christ, and no longer live, I, but Christ lives in me; but in that I now live in flesh, I live by faith, the faith of the Son of God, who has loved me and given himself for me.
Have the same respect one for another, not minding high things, but going along with the lowly: be not wise in your own eyes:
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Let your light thus shine before men, so that they may see your upright works, and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.
and by him to reconcile all things to itself, having made peace by the blood of his cross — by him, whether the things on the earth or the things in the heavens.And you, who once were alienated and enemies in mind by wicked works, yet now has it reconciledin the body of his flesh through death; to present you holy and unblamable and irreproachable before it,
For the wages of sin is death; but the act of favour of God, eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The thief comes not but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I am come that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.
let us approach with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, sprinkled as to our hearts from a wicked conscience, and washed as to our body with pure water.
Withhold not thou, Jehovah, thy tender mercies from me; let thy loving-kindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance, reserved in the heavens for you,
