Forgive other people when they sin against you. If you do, your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive the sins of other people, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Be kind and tender to one another. Forgive one another, just as God forgave you because of what Christ has done.
Put up with one another. Forgive one another if you are holding something against someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you.
“If you do not judge other people, then you will not be judged. If you do not find others guilty, then you will not be found guilty. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
But God is faithful and fair. If we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins. He will forgive every wrong thing we have done. He will make us pure.
Peter came to Jesus. He asked, “Lord, how many times should I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but 77 times.
“Suppose you are offering your gift at the altar. And you remember that your brother or sister has something against you.Leave your gift in front of the altar. First go and make peace with them. Then come back and offer your gift.
And when you stand praying, forgive anyone you have anything against. Then your Father in heaven will forgive your sins.”
Suppose someone has made us sad. In some ways, he hasn’t made me sad so much as he has made all of you sad. But I don’t want to put this too strongly.He has been punished because most of you decided he should be. This punishment is enough.Now you should forgive him and comfort him. Then he won’t be sad more than he can stand.So I’m asking you to tell him again that you still love him.
Whoever wants to show love forgives a wrong. But those who talk about it separate close friends.
“This is how my Father in heaven will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
So watch what you do. “If your brother or sister sins against you, tell them they are wrong. Then if they turn away from their sins, forgive them.“It will be just like that on the day the Son of Man is shown to the world.Suppose someone is on the housetop on that day. So confess your sins to one another. Pray for one another so that you might be healed. The prayer of a godly person is powerful. Things happen because of it.
We have been set free because of what Christ has done. Because he bled and died our sins have been forgiven. We have been set free because God’s grace is so rich.
He has removed our sins from us. He has removed them as far as the east is from the west.
My dear friends, don’t try to get even. Leave room for God to show his anger. It is written, “I am the God who judges people. I will pay them back,” (Deuteronomy 32:35) says the Lord.
It does not dishonor other people. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people’s wrongs.
Then he adds, “I will not remember their sins anymore. I will not remember the evil things they have done.” (Jeremiah 31:34)
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they are doing.” The soldiers divided up his clothes by casting lots.
Don’t pay back evil with evil. Don’t pay back unkind words with unkind words. Instead, pay back evil with kind words. This is what you have been chosen to do. You will receive a blessing by doing this.
If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink.By doing these things, you will pile up burning coals on his head. And the Lord will reward you.
“Come. Let us settle this matter,” says the Lord. “Even though your sins are bright red, they will be as white as snow. Even though they are deep red, they will be white like wool.
I will forgive their evil ways. I will not remember their sins anymore.” (Jeremiah 31:31–34)
Lord, suppose you kept a close watch on sins. Lord, who then wouldn’t be found guilty?But you forgive. So we can serve you with respect.
Lord, who is a God like you? You forgive sin. You forgive your people when they do what is wrong. You don’t stay angry forever. Instead, you take delight in showing your faithful love to them.Once again you will show loving concern for us. You will completely wipe out the evil things we’ve done. You will throw all our sins into the bottom of the sea.
Anyone who hides their sins doesn’t succeed. But anyone who admits their sins and gives them up finds mercy.
But here is how God has shown his love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Get rid of all hard feelings, anger and rage. Stop all fighting and lying. Don’t have anything to do with any kind of hatred.
In everything, do to others what you would want them to do to you. This is what is written in the Law and in the Prophets.
Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud.It does not dishonor other people. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people’s wrongs.Love is not happy with evil. But it is full of joy when the truth is spoken.It always protects. It always trusts. It always hopes. It never gives up.
God, have mercy on me according to your faithful love. Because your love is so tender and kind, wipe out my lawless acts.God, create a pure heart in me. Give me a new spirit that is faithful to you.Don’t send me away from you. Don’t take your Holy Spirit away from me.Give me back the joy that comes from being saved by you. Give me a spirit that obeys you so that I will keep going.Then I will teach your ways to those who commit lawless acts. And sinners will turn back to you.You are the God who saves me. I have committed murder. God, take away my guilt. Then my tongue will sing about how right you are no matter what you do.Lord, open my lips so that I can speak. Then my mouth will praise you.You don’t take delight in sacrifice. If you did, I would bring it. You don’t take pleasure in burnt offerings.The greatest sacrifice you want is a broken spirit. God, you will gladly accept a heart that is broken because of sadness over sin.May you be pleased to give Zion success. May it please you to build up the walls of Jerusalem.Then you will delight in the sacrifices of those who do what is right. Whole burnt offerings will bring delight to you. And bulls will be offered on your altar.Wash away all the evil things I’ve done. Make me pure from my sin.
A person’s wisdom makes them patient. They will be honored if they forgive someone who sins against them.
Those who have not shown mercy will not receive mercy when they are judged. To show mercy is better than to judge.
“He himself carried our sins” in his body on the cross. (Isaiah 53:5) He did it so that we would die as far as sins are concerned. Then we would lead godly lives. “His wounds have healed you.” (Isaiah 53:5)
Go and learn what this means, ‘I want mercy and not sacrifice.’ (Hosea 6:6) I have not come to get those who think they are right with God to follow me. I have come to get sinners to follow me.”
He has saved us from the kingdom of darkness. He has brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.Because of what the Son has done, we have been set free. Because of him, all our sins have been forgiven.
God’s grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn’t come from anything you do. It is God’s gift.It is not based on anything you have done. No one can brag about earning it.
Brothers and sisters, what if someone is caught in a sin? Then you who live by the Spirit should correct that person. Do it in a gentle way. But be careful. You could be tempted too.
Be sure that no one misses out on God’s grace. See to it that a bitter plant doesn’t grow up. If it does, it will cause trouble. And it will make many people impure.
“Do not judge other people. Then you will not be judged.Or suppose he asks for a fish. Which of you will give him a snake?Even though you are evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. How much more will your Father who is in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!In everything, do to others what you would want them to do to you. All this is from God. He brought us back to himself through Christ’s death on the cross. And he has given us the task of bringing others back to him through Christ.God was bringing the world back to himself through Christ. He did not hold people’s sins against them. God has trusted us with the message that people may be brought back to him.
Finally, my brothers and sisters, always think about what is true. Think about what is noble, right and pure. Think about what is lovely and worthy of respect. If anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those kinds of things.
Anyone who serves the Lord must not be hard to get along with. Instead, they must be kind to everyone. They must be able to teach. The one who serves must not hold anything against anyone.They must gently teach those who are against them. Maybe God will give a change of heart to those who are against you. That will lead them to know the truth.
My dear children, I’m writing this to you so that you will not sin. But suppose someone does sin. Then we have a friend who speaks to the Father for us. He is Jesus Christ, the Blameless One.Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light. There is nothing in them to make them fall into sin.But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness. They walk around in the darkness. They don’t know where they are going. The darkness has made them blind.Dear children, I’m writing to you because your sins have been forgiven. They have been forgiven because of what Jesus has done.Fathers, I’m writing to you because you know the one who is from the beginning. Young men, I’m writing to you because you have won the battle over the evil one.Dear children, I’m writing to you because you know the Father. The Lord is close to those whose hearts have been broken. He saves those whose spirits have been crushed.
Through love and truth sin is paid for. People avoid evil when they have respect for the Lord.
Like a lost sheep, I’ve gone down the wrong path. Come and look for me, because I haven’t forgotten to obey your commands.

Let those who are evil stop doing evil things. And let them quit thinking evil thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord. The Lord will show them his tender love. Let them turn to our God. He is always ready to forgive.
When you take another believer to court, you have lost the battle already. Why not be treated wrongly? Why not be cheated?
Anyone you forgive I also forgive. Was there anything to forgive? If so, I have forgiven it for your benefit, knowing that Christ is watching.We don’t want Satan to outsmart us. We know how he does his evil work.
Make sure that no one pays back one wrong act with another. Instead, always try to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
No one should look out for their own interests. Instead, they should look out for the interests of others.
Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourselves.He almost died for the work of Christ. Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God’s glory.The free gift of God’s grace makes us right with him. Christ Jesus paid the price to set us free.
You are the children that God dearly loves. So follow his example.Find out what pleases the Lord.Have nothing to do with the acts of darkness. They don’t produce anything good. Show what they are really like.It is shameful even to talk about what people who don’t obey do in secret.But everything the light shines on can be seen. And everything that the light shines on becomes a light.That is why it is said, “Wake up, sleeper. Rise from the dead. Then Christ will shine on you.”So be very careful how you live. Do not live like people who aren’t wise. Live like people who are wise.Make the most of every opportunity. The days are evil.So don’t be foolish. Instead, understand what the Lord wants.Don’t fill yourself up with wine. Getting drunk will lead to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.Lead a life of love, just as Christ did. He loved us. He gave himself up for us. He was a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.
“Then the master called the first servant in. ‘You evil servant,’ he said. ‘I forgave all that you owed me because you begged me to.Shouldn’t you have had mercy on the other servant just as I had mercy on you?’
Our fight is not against human beings. It is against the rulers, the authorities and the powers of this dark world. It is against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly world.
Forgive us our sins, as we also forgive everyone who sins against us. Keep us from falling into sin when we are tempted.’ ”
Do just the opposite. Scripture says, “If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. By doing those things, you will pile up burning coals on their heads.” (Proverbs 25:21,22)Don’t let evil overcome you. Overcome evil by doing good.
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be made “clean” with blood. Without the spilling of blood, no one can be forgiven.
God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world. He sent his Son to save the world through him.
But let us give thanks to God! He gives us the victory because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.
But the servant was pierced because we had sinned. He was crushed because we had done what was evil. He was punished to make us whole again. His wounds have healed us.All of us are like sheep. We have wandered away from God. All of us have turned to our own way. And the Lord has placed on his servant the sins of all of us.
So here is what I tell you. Every kind of sin and every evil word spoken against God will be forgiven. But speaking evil things against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
He forgives all my sins. He heals all my sicknesses.He saves my life from going down into the grave. His faithful and tender love makes me feel like a king.
My dear brothers and sisters, pay attention to what I say. Everyone should be quick to listen. But they should be slow to speak. They should be slow to get angry.
You are God’s chosen people. You are holy and dearly loved. So put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proud. Be gentle and patient.
Let us stop judging one another. Instead, decide not to put anything in the way of a brother or sister. Don’t put anything in their way that would make them trip and fall.
But God loves us deeply. He is full of mercy.So he gave us new life because of what Christ has done. He gave us life even when we were dead in sin. God’s grace has saved you.
Dear friends, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has become a child of God and knows God.Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
We know the God who said, “I am the God who judges people. I will pay them back.” (Deuteronomy 32:35) Scripture also says, “The Lord will judge his people.” (Deuteronomy 32:36; Psalm 135:14)It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
He answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength and with all your mind.’ (Deuteronomy 6:5) And, ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ ” (Leviticus 19:18)
Don’t be happy when your enemy falls. When he trips, don’t let your heart be glad.The Lord will see it, but he won’t be pleased. He might turn his anger away from your enemy.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is pure. That’s the most important thing about it. And that’s not all. It also loves peace. It thinks about others. It obeys. It is full of mercy and good fruit. It is fair. It doesn’t pretend to be what it is not.
Turn away from anger and don’t give in to wrath. Don’t be upset, because that only leads to evil.
The three most important things to have are faith, hope and love. But the greatest of them is love.
The mountains might shake. The hills might be removed. But my faithful love for you will never be shaken. And my covenant that promises peace to you will never be removed,” says the Lord. He shows you his loving concern.
I pray that he will use his glorious riches to make you strong. May his Holy Spirit give you his power deep down inside you.Then Christ will live in your hearts because you believe in him. And I pray that your love will have deep roots. I pray that it will have a strong foundation.
At one time you were dead in your sins. Your desires controlled by sin were not circumcised. But God gave you new life together with Christ. He forgave us all our sins.He wiped out what the law said that we owed. The law stood against us. It judged us. But he has taken it away and nailed it to the cross.
He loves those who have respect for him. His love is as high as the heavens are above the earth.He has removed our sins from us. He has removed them as far as the east is from the west.
Some people did accept him and did believe in his name. He gave them the right to become children of God.

We have a high priest who can feel it when we are weak and hurting. We have a high priest who has been tempted in every way, just as we are. But he did not sin.So let us boldly approach God’s throne of grace. Then we will receive mercy. We will find grace to help us when we need it.
We have been made right with God because of our faith. Now we have peace with him because of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Do not make God’s Holy Spirit mourn. The Holy Spirit is the proof that you belong to God. And the Spirit is the proof that God will set you completely free.Get rid of all hard feelings, anger and rage. Stop all fighting and lying. Don’t have anything to do with any kind of hatred.
Let the words you speak always be full of grace. Learn how to make your words what people want to hear. Then you will know how to answer everyone.
God’s grace has been given to me. So here is what I say to every one of you. Don’t think of yourself more highly than you should. Be reasonable when you think about yourself. Keep in mind the faith God has given to each of you.
“But the tax collector stood farther away than the Pharisee. He would not even look up to heaven. He brought his hand to his heart and prayed. He said, ‘God, have mercy on me. I am a sinner.’
Our God is a God who strengthens and encourages you. May he give you the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had.
Then I admitted my sin to you. I didn’t cover up the wrong I had done. I said, “I will admit my lawless acts to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he spoke to the man who could not walk. “Get up,” he said. “Take your mat and go home.”
Everything written in the past was written to teach us. The Scriptures give us strength to go on. They encourage us and give us hope.
I tell you, it is the same in heaven. There is joy in heaven over one sinner who turns away from sin.”
So, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch anything that is not pure and ‘clean.’ Then I will receive you.” (Isaiah 52:11; Ezekiel 20:34,41)
“If your brother or sister sins against you, go to them. Tell them what they did wrong. Keep it between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them back.
I have been crucified with Christ. I don’t live any longer, but Christ lives in me. Now I live my life in my body by faith in the Son of God. He loved me and gave himself for me.
Agree with one another. Don’t be proud. Be willing to be a friend of people who aren’t considered important. Don’t think that you are better than others.
I will sweep your sins away as if they were a cloud. I will blow them away as if they were the morning mist. Return to me. Then I will set you free.”
In the same way, let your light shine so others can see it. Then they will see the good things you do. And they will bring glory to your Father who is in heaven.
God was pleased to bring all things back to himself. That’s because of what Christ has done. These things include everything on earth and in heaven. God made peace through Christ’s blood, by his death on the cross.At one time you were separated from God. You were enemies in your minds because of your evil ways.But because Christ died, God has brought you back to himself. Christ’s death has made you holy in God’s sight. So now you don’t have any flaw. You are free from blame.
When you sin, the pay you get is death. But God gives you the gift of eternal life. That’s because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done.
A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so they may have life. I want them to have it in the fullest possible way.
So let us come near to God with a sincere heart. Let us come near boldly because of our faith. Our hearts have been sprinkled. Our minds have been cleansed from a sense of guilt. Our bodies have been washed with pure water.
Lord, don’t hold back your mercy from me. May your love and faithfulness always keep me safe.
Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us a new birth and a living hope. This hope is living because Jesus Christ rose from the dead.He has given us new birth so that we might share in what belongs to him. This is a gift that can never be destroyed. It can never spoil or even fade away. It is kept in heaven for you.
