Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you.

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, if my brother keeps on sinning against me, how many times do I have to forgive him? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” answered Jesus, “but seventy times seven,

And when you stand and pray, forgive anything you may have against anyone, so that your Father in heaven will forgive the wrongs you have done.”
Now, if anyone has made somebody sad, he has not done it to me but to all of you—in part, at least. (I say this because I do not want to be too hard on him.)It is enough that this person has been punished in this way by most of you. Now, however, you should forgive him and encourage him, in order to keep him from becoming so sad as to give up completely. And so I beg you to let him know that you really do love him.
If you want people to like you, forgive them when they wrong you. Remembering wrongs can break up a friendship.
And Jesus concluded, “That is how my Father in heaven will treat every one of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart.”
So watch what you do! “If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. That is how it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.“On that day someone who is on the roof of a house must not go down into the house to get any belongings; in the same way anyone who is out in the field must not go back to the house.Remember Lot's wife! Those who try to save their own life will lose it; those who lose their life will save it.On that night, I tell you, there will be two people sleeping in the same bed: one will be taken away, the other will be left behind. Two women will be grinding meal together: one will be taken away, the other will be left behind.” The disciples asked him, “Where, Lord?” Jesus answered, “Wherever there is a dead body, the vultures will gather.”If he sins against you seven times in one day, and each time he comes to you saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
So then, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you will be healed. The prayer of a good person has a powerful effect.

You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess them and give them up; then God will show mercy to you.
But God has shown us how much he loves us—it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us!
Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort.

Be merciful to me, O God, because of your constant love. Because of your great mercy wipe away my sins!Create a pure heart in me, O God, and put a new and loyal spirit in me.Do not banish me from your presence; do not take your holy spirit away from me.Give me again the joy that comes from your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach sinners your commands, and they will turn back to you.Spare my life, O God, and save me, and I will gladly proclaim your righteousness.Help me to speak, Lord, and I will praise you.You do not want sacrifices, or I would offer them; you are not pleased with burnt offerings. My sacrifice is a humble spirit, O God; you will not reject a humble and repentant heart.O God, be kind to Zion and help her; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Then you will be pleased with proper sacrifices and with our burnt offerings; and bulls will be sacrificed on your altar.Wash away all my evil and make me clean from my sin!
If you are sensible, you will control your temper. When someone wrongs you, it is a great virtue to ignore it.

My friends, if someone is caught in any kind of wrongdoing, those of you who are spiritual should set him right; but you must do it in a gentle way. And keep an eye on yourselves, so that you will not be tempted, too.
Guard against turning back from the grace of God. Let no one become like a bitter plant that grows up and causes many troubles with its poison.
“Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you,Or would you give him a snake when he asks for a fish?As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!“Do for others what you want them to do for you: this is the meaning of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets. “Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it.But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it.“Be on your guard against false prophets; they come to you looking like sheep on the outside, but on the inside they are really like wild wolves. You will know them by what they do. Thorn bushes do not bear grapes, and briers do not bear figs.A healthy tree bears good fruit, but a poor tree bears bad fruit.A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a poor tree cannot bear good fruit. And any tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire.for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others.
All this is done by God, who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also. Our message is that God was making all human beings his friends through Christ. I am writing this to you, my children, so that you will not sin; but if anyone does sin, we have someone who pleads with the Father on our behalf—Jesus Christ, the righteous one.If we love others, we live in the light, and so there is nothing in us that will cause someone else to sin.But if we hate others, we are in the darkness; we walk in it and do not know where we are going, because the darkness has made us blind.I write to you, my children, because your sins are forgiven for the sake of Christ.I write to you, fathers, because you know him who has existed from the beginning. I write to you, young people, because you have defeated the Evil One.I write to you, my children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who has existed from the beginning. I write to you, young people, because you are strong; the word of God lives in you, and you have defeated the Evil One.Do not love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you do not love the Father.Everything that belongs to the world—what the sinful self desires, what people see and want, and everything in this world that people are so proud of—none of this comes from the Father; it all comes from the world. The world and everything in it that people desire is passing away; but those who do the will of God live forever. My children, the end is near! You were told that the Enemy of Christ would come; and now many enemies of Christ have already appeared, and so we know that the end is near. These people really did not belong to our fellowship, and that is why they left us; if they had belonged to our fellowship, they would have stayed with us. But they left so that it might be clear that none of them really belonged to us.And Christ himself is the means by which our sins are forgiven, and not our sins only, but also the sins of everyone.

See that no one pays back wrong for wrong, but at all times make it your aim to do good to one another and to all people.
None of you should be looking out for your own interests, but for the interests of others.

And yet, I am the God who forgives your sins, and I do this because of who I am. I will not hold your sins against you.

Since you are God's dear children, you must try to be like him.Try to learn what pleases the Lord.Have nothing to do with the worthless things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light. (It is really too shameful even to talk about the things they do in secret.)And when all things are brought out to the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed;for anything that is clearly revealed becomes light. That is why it is said, “Wake up, sleeper, and rise from death, and Christ will shine on you.”So be careful how you live. Don't live like ignorant people, but like wise people.Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days.Don't be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do.Do not get drunk with wine, which will only ruin you; instead, be filled with the Spirit.Speak to one another with the words of psalms, hymns, and sacred songs; sing hymns and psalms to the Lord with praise in your hearts.Your life must be controlled by love, just as Christ loved us and gave his life for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice that pleases God.
