But if any hath caused sorrow, he hath caused sorrow, not to me, but in part (that I press not too heavily) to you all.Sufficient to such a one is this punishment which was {\i inflicted} by the many;so that contrariwise ye should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his overmuch sorrow.Wherefore I beseech you to confirm {\i your} love toward him.
He that covereth a transgression seeketh love;\par\tab But he that harpeth on a matter separateth chief friends.

Brethren, even if a man be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
looking carefully lest {\i there be} any man that falleth short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble {\i you}, and thereby the many be defiled;
{\cf6 Judge not, that ye be not judged.For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.
But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation;to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.\par
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
And the Lord's servant must not strive, but be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing,in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,
My little children, these things write I unto you that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:and he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

Nay, already it is altogether a defect in you, that ye have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather take wrong? why not rather be defrauded?
But to whom ye forgive anything, I {\i forgive} also: for what I also have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, for your sakes {\i have I forgiven it} in the presence of Christ;that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan: for we are not ignorant of his devices.\par
See that none render unto any one evil for evil; but always follow after that which is good, one toward another, and toward all.
{\i doing} nothing through faction or through vainglory, but in lowliness of mind each counting other better than himself;not looking each of you to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins.
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.\par

Put on therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock in his brother's way, or an occasion of falling.
but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved),
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is begotten of God, and knoweth God.He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, {\i I say}, did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses;having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;
For as the heavens are high above the earth,\par\tab So great is his lovingkindness toward them that fear him.As far as the east is from the west,\par\tab So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, {\i even} to them that believe on his name:
But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for {\i God's} own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:who in time past were {\b no people,} but now are {\b the people of God}: who had {\b not obtained mercy,} but now have {\b obtained mercy.}\par
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:\par\tab A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.\par
{\i saying},\par\tab {\b Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven,\par\tab And whose sins are covered.}{\b Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not reckon sin.}
And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, {\cf6 Drink ye all of it;for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.
For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as {\i we are, yet} without sin.Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help {\i us} in time of need.\par
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul;\par\tab But he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
And the lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.\par
For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.
But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a sinner.
Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:
I acknowledged my sin unto thee,\par\tab And mine iniquity did I not hide:\par\tab I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah;\par\tab And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. {\i Selah

Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Jehovah;\par\tab Let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
Blessed {\i be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
