For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.
Judge not, and you shall not be judged: condemn not, and you shall not be condemned: forgive, and you shall be forgiven:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?Jesus said to him, I say not to you, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has ought against you;Leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if any have caused grief, he has not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.So that contrariwise you ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.Why I beseech you that you would confirm your love toward him.
He that covers a transgression seeks love; but he that repeats a matter separates very friends.
For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy to all them that call on you.
So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also to you, if you from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
Take heed to yourselves: If your brother trespass against you, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.And if he trespass against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to you, saying, I repent; you shall forgive him.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, said the Lord.
For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are thereunto called, that you should inherit a blessing.
Whose soever sins you remit, they are remitted to them; and whose soever sins you retain, they are retained.
If your enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:For you shall heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD shall reward you.
Come now, and let us reason together, said the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
If you, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be feared.
Who is a God like to you, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retains not his anger for ever, because he delights in mercy.He will turn again, he will have compassion on us; he will subdue our iniquities; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.
But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Therefore all things whatever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity braggs not itself, is not puffed up,Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving kindness: according to the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions.Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
The discretion of a man defers his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.
Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live to righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.
But go you and learn what that means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.He has not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Brothers, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
Judge not, that you be not judged.For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle to all men, apt to teach, patient,In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
My little children, these things write I to you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Why I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.
The LORD is near to them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.
When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the sick of the palsy, Son, your sins be forgiven you.
Should not you also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you?
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant; for I do not forget your commandments.
A new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because you go to law one with another. Why do you not rather take wrong? why do you not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
To whom you forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
See that none render evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and will not remember your sins.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children;And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling smell.
Then his lord, after that he had called him, said to him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you desired me:Should not you also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you?
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him; and with his stripes we are healed.All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Why I say to you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven to men.
Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases;Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies;
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)
But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which spitefully use you, and persecute you;
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.
For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, said the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
And he answering said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.
Rejoice not when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles:Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
And now stays faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, said the LORD that has mercy on you.
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink you all of it;For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
The merciful man does good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubles his own flesh.
Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed to the day of redemption.Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man.
For I say, through the grace given to me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For your is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
I acknowledge my sin to you, and my iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD; and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
But that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (then said he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.
For whatever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents.
Why come out from among them, and be you separate, said the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your brother.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return to me; for I have redeemed you.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things to himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciledIn the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and unreproveable in his sight:
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Withhold not you your tender mercies from me, O LORD: let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again to a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,
