If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Or do you presume upon the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience? Do you not know that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.

Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my trangressions to the Lord”; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. Selah

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

“But if a wicked man turns away from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness which he has done he shall live.Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?

The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.

“Yet even now,” says the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the Lord, your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love, and repents of evil.

Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Only acknowledge your guilt, that you rebelled against the Lord your God and scattered your favors among strangers under every green tree, and that you have not obeyed my voice, says the Lord.

Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you men of double mind.

Bear fruit that befits repentance,

A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

I confess my iniquity, I am sorry for my sin.

The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all men everywhere to repent,

and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud, and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you.

If thou, O Lord, shouldst mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand?But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.

God scorns the wicked, but the upright enjoy his favor.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.

John the baptizer appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good tidings to the afflicted; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord God. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin.Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed against me, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel?

Who is a God like thee, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger for ever because he delights in steadfast love.He will again have compassion upon us, he will tread our iniquities under foot. Thou wilt cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Remember not the sins of my youth, or my trangressions; according to thy steadfast love remember me, for thy goodness' sake, O Lord!

The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the foremost of sinners;

When I think of thy ways, I turn my feet to thy testimonies;

But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.and said to him, “Are you he who is to come, or shall we look for another?”For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance to God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in thy sight, so that thou art justified in thy sentence and blameless in thy judgment.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Say to them, As I live, says the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

Enter not into judgment with thy servant; for no man living is righteous before thee.

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,they are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus,

Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God—not because of works, lest any man should boast.

Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.

I tell you, No; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.

By loyalty and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord a man avoids evil.

Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant that they will repent and come to know the truth,and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I keep thy word.

All that the Father gives me will come to me; and him who comes to me I will not cast out.

So if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins.

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts,and be renewed in the spirit of your minds,and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine, says the Lord. But this is the man to whom I will look, he that is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.

Afterward, Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more, that nothing worse befall you.”

And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Strive for peace with all men, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words.And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
