Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the abundance of Your compassion, blot out my transgressions.Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.Cast me not away from Your presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your willing spirit.Then will I teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will return to You.Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of Your righteousness.O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise.For You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.Do good to Zion in Your good pleasure; build the walls of Jerusalem.Then You will be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering; then bulls will be offered on Your altar.Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

He shall not die.All his transgressions that he has committed, they shall not be remembered against him. Because of his righteousness that he has done, he shall live.Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, but rather that he should turn from his ways and live?
The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
Yet even now, declares the Lord, return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting and with weeping and with mourning.Rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and He relents from punishing.

My little children, I am writing these things to you, so that you do not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous One.Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.But whoever hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for His name’s sake.I am writing to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I am writing to you, little children, because you have known the Father.I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father, but is of the world.The world and its desires are passing away, but the one who does the will of God lives forever.Little children, it is the last hour. As you have heard that the antichrist will come, even now there are many antichrists. By this we know that it is the last hour.They went out from us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have remained with us. But they went out, revealing that none of them were of us.He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord God. Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows right well.My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed substance. And in Your book were they all written, the days created for me, when as yet there were none of them.How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!Were I to count them, they would be in number more than the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall I forgive my brother who sins against me? Up to seven times?”Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

And likewise let him who is in the field not return to the things behind.Remember Lot’s wife.Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.I tell you, on that night two men will be in one bed; the one will be taken and the other will be left.Two women will be grinding grain together; the one will be taken and the other will be left.Two men will be in the field; the one will be taken and the other will be left.”They asked, “Where, Lord?” He replied, “Where the body is, there the vultures will be gathered together.”If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

Therefore, since we are encompassed with such a great cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.For they indeed disciplined us for a short time according to their own judgment, but He does so for our profit, that we may partake of His holiness.Now no discipline seems to be joyful at the time, but grievous. Yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness in those who have been trained by it.Therefore lift up your tired hands, and strengthen your weak knees.Make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame go out of joint, but rather be healed.Pursue peace with all men, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord,watching diligently so that no one falls short of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness spring up to cause trouble, and many become defiled by it,lest there be any sexually immoral or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected. For he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.You have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and storm,and to the sound of a trumpet and to a voice speaking words, such that those who heard them begged that the word not be spoken to them anymore.Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses, for we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
