If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord;
if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
And Peter {\i said} unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper:\par\tab But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy.
I say unto you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, {\i more} than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.\par
Come now, and let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

But if the wicked turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.None of his transgressions that he hath committed shall be remembered against him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Yet even now, saith Jehovah, turn ye unto me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto Jehovah your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
But go ye and learn what {\i this} meaneth, {\b I desire mercy, and not sacrifice}: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.}\par
For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. And ye would not:
Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against Jehovah thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith Jehovah.
Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.}\par
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent:
and that repentance unto remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities,\par\tab O Lord, who could stand?But there is forgiveness with thee,\par\tab That thou mayest be feared.
Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon my thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
Jehovah is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart,\par\tab And saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.
My little children, these things write I unto you that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:and he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.\par
As far as the east is from the west,\par\tab So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:\par\tab A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.\par
in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
and said, {\cf6 Verily I say unto you, Except ye turn, and become as little children, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
John came, who baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins.

The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening {\i of the prison} to them that are bound;
Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord Jehovah. Return ye, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.Cast away from you all your transgressions, wherein ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in lovingkindness.He will again have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions:\par\tab According to thy lovingkindness remember thou me,\par\tab For thy goodness' sake, O Jehovah.
Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief:
But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a sinner.
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and {\b ye shall find rest unto your souls.}For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.}\par
testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
For I know my transgressions;\par\tab And my sin is ever before me.Against thee, thee only, have I sinned,\par\tab And done that which is evil in thy sight;\par\tab That thou mayest be justified when thou speakest,\par\tab And be clear when thou judgest.

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
And enter not into judgment with thy servant;\par\tab For in thy sight no man living is righteous.
And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.\par
And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Wherefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, {\i it is} the gift of God;not of works, that no man should glory.
Wherefore if any man is in Christ, {\i he is} a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, the new is come.

Jesus saith unto him, {\cf6 I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.
By mercy and truth iniquity is atoned for;\par\tab And by the fear of Jehovah men depart from evil.
because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have boldness toward God;
For innumerable evils have compassed me about;\par\tab Mine iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up;\par\tab They are more than the hairs of my head;\par\tab And my heart hath failed me.
And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight: I am no more worthy to be called thy son.
and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.
in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,and they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him unto his will.\par
All that which the Father giveth me shall come unto me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
If therefore thou art offering thy gift at the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee,leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way, first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son {\i to be} the propitiation for our sins.
let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,
that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.\par
For all these things hath my hand made, and {\i so} all these things came to be, saith Jehovah: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my word.
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, {\cf6 Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing befall thee.}
And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:
Brethren, I count not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing {\i I do}, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before.I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
For we must all be made manifest before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things {\i done} in the body, according to what he hath done, whether {\i it be} good or bad.\par
And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.\par
There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it.\par
if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
and he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: Jehovah is with you, while ye are with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.
I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and {\i in} fire:
and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.\par

but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par
To him bear all the prophets witness, that through his name every one that believeth on him shall receive remission of sins.\par
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thy heart shall be forgiven thee.

For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not; but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye saw it, did not even repent yourselves afterward, that ye might believe him.\par
Him did God exalt with his right hand {\i to be} a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.
But now, O Jehovah, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of {\i our} faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for {\i us} with groanings which cannot be uttered;and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to {\i the will of} God.
