It is better to eat vegetables with people who love each other than to eat good meat with people who hate each other.
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church. He even agreed to die on its behalf.
We should think about how we can help one another. We want everyone to show love to each other. We want everyone to do good things to help one another.
You will build again the cities which became heaps of stones a long time ago. You will build your houses on the old foundations. People will call you, “Builders who mend the walls and the streets.”

So you should tell each other about any wrong things that you have done. Then you will be able to pray for each other, so that God makes you well again. When a good person prays to God, God does powerful things.
I give a new rule to you. Love each other. You must love each other as I have loved you.In this way, everyone will know that you are my disciples. They will know it, if you really love each other.’
The Lord says, ‘Please come, so that we talk about this together. Even if your sins are like a red stain, they will become as white as snow. Even if they are bright red, they will become like white wool.
Do not say bad things that hurt or insult people. Instead, say only good things that will help people. Your words should help people to become strong when they hear them.
So we must no longer judge other believers. Instead, decide never to cause them to do something wrong.

Now I say ‘goodbye’ to you, my Christian friends. Do only what is right. Let my message make you strong. Agree with each other. Live together in peace. I pray that God will be with you. He is the one who loves us and gives us peace in our minds.
Now I want to say this to you before I finish my letter. All of you should agree with each other in what you think. You should try to understand how other people are feeling. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be kind to each other. Do not think that you are more important than other people.
Christ has accepted you, so you must accept each other. In that way you will be praising God.
Someone who wants to cause trouble has a mind that is full of lies. But someone who wants to bring peace has a mind that is full of joy.

This is God's armour that you must wear: God's true message will be like a belt that you tie round your body. Always do what is right. That will be like a metal shirt that you wear to keep your body safe.Be prepared to tell people the good news about peace with God. That will be like shoes on your feet.As well as all that, have faith to trust God. That will be like a shield that you hold in front of you. It will stop the devil from hurting you with his arrows that burn with fire.Remember that God has saved you from your sins. That will be like a strong hat that keeps your head safe. Also, use God's message to help you. That will be like a sword that God's Spirit puts in your hand.As you stand strongly like that, always pray for God's help. Pray about everything as God's Spirit helps you to pray. For this purpose, watch carefully all the time. Also, continue to pray for all God's people everywhere.Please pray for me, too. Pray that God will give me the right message to speak. Pray that I will not be afraid to tell people about God's good news. Pray that I can explain God's secret to them.God's Law says: ‘Always respect your father and your mother.’ That is the first command of God's Law that also has a promise.God has sent me to tell people the good news on his behalf. And that is why I am now in prison. So pray that I will speak God's message bravely, as I ought to speak it.My Christian friend, Tychicus, will tell you all the news about me. He works hard as the Lord's servant. He will tell you about what is happening here. Then you will know what I am doing and how I am.That is the reason why I am sending him to you. I want him to tell you what is happening to us here, so that you will feel stronger.I pray that God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ will be good to you who are believers. I pray that you will have peace in your minds. I pray that you will love one another, as you continue to trust Christ.I pray that God will help everyone who continues to love our Lord Jesus Christ.The promise is this: ‘As a result, you will be happy and you will live for a long time on the earth.’ Fathers, do not do things that make your children angry. My child, obey your father's commands. Do not forget what your mother has taught you.Keep their teaching in your thoughts. But God's Spirit causes us to live in a different way. We love other people. We are happy and we have peace in our minds. We are patient, kind and good. People can trust us to do what is right.We respect other people and we control ourselves properly. God's Spirit helps us to live in that way. There is no law that says these things are wrong.
In the way that you live, do not just try to help yourself. Do not be proud. Instead, respect other people. Think about other people as more important than yourself.He nearly died because he was working to serve Christ. He came to help me, because you could not help me yourselves. He was even ready to die so that he could do that on your behalf.Do not think only about the things that you want to do for yourself. Each of you should think also about how you can help other people.
Maybe you go to the temple to give your gift to God. You take it to the altar. But then you remember that your brother is angry with you.You must leave your gift there in front of God's altar. First you must go and find your brother. Tell him that you are sorry. Then you can both become friends with each other again. After that, you can return to the altar and give your gift to God.
So we should try to live in a way that brings peace. We should help each other to become stronger as God's people.
My little children, we should not show love for each other only by what we say. We should also show true love by the things that we do.
It is God himself who helps us to be patient and strong. So I pray that he will help you to agree with each other and to be friends. That is how Christ Jesus wants you to live.
But if God makes you really wise, you will live in a completely good way. That is the most important thing. Also, you will live in a way that brings peace. If you answer people in a kind way, it stops them being angry. But if you say cruel things, it makes people angry.
Because of that, this is how you can make me completely happy: In your mind, think about things in the same way as each other. Love one another completely. In your spirit, agree with one another. Work together for the same purpose.
