When you face hurts, you can find real comfort and guidance in Scripture. God's word reminds us that He is our refuge and strength, especially when things get tough.
Facing hurts with humility and forgiveness can truly heal your wounds and restore relationships. Loving your neighbor is a fundamental command, and that includes loving your enemies and blessing those who persecute you. I know it's a challenge, but it's part of what God calls us to as His followers.
The Bible teaches us that offenses are just a part of life. But it also encourages us to handle them in a way that honors God and leads to reconciliation. In Matthew 18:21-22, Jesus gives us key instruction on forgiveness: "Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.’"
This passage tells me that Jesus wants us to have hearts that don't hold onto bitterness and resentment. He wants us to forgive others, just as our Heavenly Father has forgiven us.
For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "The reproaches of those reproaching You fell on Me."
Therefore if you offer your gift on the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you,leave your gift there before the altar, and go, first be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Hear, O our God, for we have become a scorn; and return their reproach upon their own heads, and make them a scorn in a land of captivity,
And there shall no more be heard against you the reproach of the nations, and you shall no more bear the revilings of the peoples, says the Lord God.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as also God in Christ forgave us.
Whose mouth is full of cursing, and bitterness, and fraud: under his tongue are trouble and pain.
forbearing one another and forgiving yourselves, if anyone should have a complaint against any; just as Christ forgave you, so you also do.

Therefore let us no longer judge one another, but judge this rather, not to put a stumbling block or an offense before our brother.
My soul has waited for reproach and misery; and I waited for one to grieve with me, but there was none; and for one to comfort me, but I found none.
Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day he returns, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."
Repay to our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached You, O Lord.

A passionate man stirs up strife; but he that is slow to anger appeases even a rising one. (15:18A) A man slow to anger will extinguish quarrels, but an ungodly man rather stirs them up.
Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience;forbearing one another and forgiving yourselves, if anyone should have a complaint against any; just as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, thus also you do to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another!
And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a fragrant aroma.
See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue that which is good, both for one another and for all.
And a servant of the Lord ought not to fight, but to be gentle to all, skillful at teaching, forbearing,
It is a glory to a man to turn aside from railing, but every fool is entangled with such matters.
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; and everyone that loves has been born of God and knows God.He that does not love does not know God, because God is love.
We then who are strong are obligated to bear with the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
A man void of understanding sneers at his fellow citizens, but a sensible man is quiet.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those making peace.

A brother helped by a brother is as a strong and high city, and is as strong as a well-founded palace.
"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'But I say to you not to resist an evil person. But whoever shall slap you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Say not, As he has treated me, so will I treat him, and I will avenge myself on him for that in which he has injured me.
Let no corrupt word proceed from your mouth, but only what is good for edification, that it may give grace to them that hear.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be prepared with a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;having a good conscience, so that in what they speak against you as evildoers, those reviling your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame.
Let your word always be with grace, having been seasoned with salt, to know how you ought to answer each one.
Brothers, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness, looking out for yourself lest you also be tempted.
And to whom you forgive anything, I also forgive; for if indeed I have forgiven anything, the one whom I have forgiven, I have done so for your sakes in the presence of Christ,lest we be taken advantage of by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

The wholesome tongue is a tree of life, and he that keeps it shall be filled with understanding.
If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceiving his heart, the religion of this man is useless.
A man slow to anger is better than a strong man, and he that governs his temper better than he that takes a city.
For "He that desires to love life and see good days, let him stop his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile.Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, longsuffering, and full of mercy.He will not always be angry; neither will He be wrathful forever.He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor recompensed us according to our iniquities.
Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man through whom the offense comes!
But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.
Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible for offenses not to come, but woe to the one through whom they do come!
Wherefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will by no means eat meat, lest I cause my brother to stumble.
"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone be hanged on his neck, and he be drowned in the depth of the sea.
A malicious man shall be severely punished, and if he commit injury, he shall also lose his life.
But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned."
Actually then, it is already a defeat for you that you have lawsuits against one another. Why not rather accept wrong? Why not rather accept being defrauded?But you wrong and defraud, and these things to your brothers!
And fathers, do not provoke your children, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.
"Blessed are you whenever they revile you, and they persecute you, and they say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
Do not murmur against one another, brothers, lest you be judged. Behold, the Judge stands before the doors!
Be angry, and sin not; feel compunction upon your beds for what you say in your hearts. Pause.
with all humility and meekness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
By a multitude of words you shall not escape sin, but if you refrain your lips you will be prudent.
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.Let no one seek his own concerns, but let each one seek another's concern.
But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
who, being verbally abused, did not return verbal insults, when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;
(16:5A) The beginning of a good way is to do justly, and it is more acceptable with God than to offer sacrifices.
Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and they that rule it shall eat the fruits thereof.
Be warmly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor preferring one another;
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
A bad man will by no means obey counsel, neither will he say anything seasonable, or of good report.
