¶ Then Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? until seven times?Jesus said unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times, but, Until seventy times seven.

Not repaying anyone evil for evil; procuring that which is good not only in the sight of God, but even in the sight of all men.If it can be done, as much as is possible on your part, live in peace with all men.

not rendering evil for evil or curse for curse, but to the contrary, blessing, knowing that ye are called, that ye should possess a blessing by inheritance.

¶ Do not rejoice when thy enemy falls, and do not let thy heart be glad when he stumbles

¶ If thy enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,for thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.

But God increased the price of his charity toward us in that while we were yet sinners the Christ died for us.

If anyone says, I love God and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he that does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?And we have this commandment from him, That he who loves God loves his brother also.

But rather love ye your enemies and do good and lend, hoping for nothing again, and your reward shall be great; and ye shall be the sons of the Most High, for he is kind even unto the unthankful and to the evil.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.By this shall everyone know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

¶ Charity suffers long and is benign; charity envies not; charity does nothing without due reason, is not puffed up,is not injurious, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil,rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

¶ Be ye therefore imitators of God, as dear childrenapproving what is well pleasing unto the Lord.And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.For it is a shame even to speak of those things which they do in secret.But all these things when they are reproved by the light are made manifest, for the light is that which manifests everything.Therefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest and arise from the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Therefore, be ye not unwise, but understanding of what the will of the Lord is.And be not drunk with wine, in which there is excess, but be filled with the Spirit,speaking among yourselves with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and praising the Lord in your hearts,and walk in charity even as the Christ also has loved us and has given himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

Not defending yourselves, dearly beloved; but rather give place unto the wrath of God, for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our rebellions from us.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves; for charity shall cover a multitude of sins.

¶ Hatred stirs up strifes, but love covers all sins.

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and evil speaking be taken away from you, with all malice,and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God has forgiven you in Christ.

¶ Ye have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth;but I say unto you, That ye resist not with evil, but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And set us free from our debts, as we set free our debtors.

Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that ye may be whole. The effectual prayer of the righteous is very powerful.

Follow peace with everyone and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord:looking diligently that no one deviate from the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up impede you, and thereby many be defiled,

¶ He that covers a transgression seeks love, but he that repeats a matter separates very friends.

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother should trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.In that day, he who shall be upon the housetop and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away; and he that is in the field, let him likewise not turn back.Remember Lot’s wife.Whosoever shall seek to save his soul shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose it shall cause it to live.I tell you in that night there shall be two men in one bed: the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.Two women shall be grinding together: the one shall be taken, and the other left.Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Where the body is, there will the eagles be gathered together.And if he trespasses against thee seven times in a day and seven times in a day turns again to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.

¶ Therefore bear one another, as the Christ also bore us, to the glory of God.

And when ye are praying, forgive if ye have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in the heavens will also forgive you your trespasses.

¶ Clothed, therefore, (as the elect of God, holy and beloved) with bowels of mercies, with kindness, with humility, with meekness, with tolerance,forbearing one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a quarrel against another: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

¶ The discretion of a man defers his anger, and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

loving one another with brotherly love, with honour preferring one another;

¶ Judge not, that ye be not judged.Or if he asks for fish, will he give him a serpent?If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to those that ask him?¶ Therefore, all things whatsoever ye desire that men should do unto you, so also shall ye do unto them, for this is the law and the prophets.Enter ye in at the narrow gate, for the way that leads to destruction is wide and spacious, and those who follow it are many;because narrow is the gate, and confined is the way which leads unto life, and there are few that find it.¶ Keep yourselves also from the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.Every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire.For with the judgment with which ye judge, ye shall be judged, and with the measure with which ye measure, ye shall be measured again.

For thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto all those that call upon thee.

See that no one renders evil for evil unto anyone, but always follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men.

In this we have known the charity of God because he laid down his life for us; we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Charity works no evil to a neighbour; therefore, charity is the fulfillment of the law.

And as ye desire that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

¶ When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

¶ So that now, there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ, Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another as I have loved you.

was it not also expedient unto thee to have mercy on thy fellowslave even as I had mercy on thee?

¶ A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.

Cease from anger and forsake wrath: let not thy wrath in any wise cause you to become evil.

who, when he was cursed, did not return the curse; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but committed himself to him that judges righteously;

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the lords of this age, rulers of this darkness, against spiritual wickedness in the heavens.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

And all this by God, who reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;for certainly God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and having placed in us the word of reconciliation.

¶ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great charity with which he loved us,even as we were dead in sins, he has made us alive together with the Christ (by whose grace ye are saved)

and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you unless from your hearts ye forgive every one his brother their trespasses.

That the slave of the Lord should not be contentious, but be meek unto everyone, apt to teach, patient,that with meekness they might teach those that resist, if God peradventure will grant unto them that they might repent and know the truth,

¶ Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven;

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled with God by the death of his Son, much more, now reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted himself up and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him be the first to cast a stone at her.

let him separate himself from evil and do good; let him seek peace and follow it.

¶ A fool’s wrath is presently known, but he who covers the injury is sane.

¶ with all humility and meekness, with tolerance, forbearing one another in love,

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in humility let each esteem others better than themselves,

and labour, working with our own hands; being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it;

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and of great mercy.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou belittle thy brother? for we shall all stand before the tribunal of the Christ.

For I will reconcile their iniquities and their sins, and their iniquities I will remember no more.

¶ Brethren, if anyone is overtaken in a fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted.

Therefore go ye and learn what this is, I will have mercy and not sacrifice, for I am not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.

¶ The merciful man does good to his own soul, but the cruel man troubles his own flesh.

but following the truth in charity, let us grow up into him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:

¶ But now put ye also off all these things: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil, for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

¶ He that follows after righteousness and mercy shall find life, righteousness, and honour.

¶ The Lord is not late concerning his promise, as some count lateness, but is patient with us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Let us, therefore, follow after the things which make for peace and the edification of each one to the others.

¶ Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;¶ My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into diverse trials,for the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God.

Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his soul for his friends.

in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace,

Because for this were ye called: for the Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his stepswho did no sin neither was guile found in his mouth,who, when he was cursed, did not return the curse; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but committed himself to him that judges righteously;

¶ Therefore, thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest; for in that which thou dost judge another, thou dost condemn thyself; for thou that judgest others doest the same things.

¶ Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; be ye therefore prudent as serpents and innocent as doves.

And the Lord make you to multiply and make charity to abound among you and toward all men, even as it is with us toward you,that your hearts may be confirmed in holiness, irreprehensible before God, even our Father, for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

¶ I exhort therefore, that, first of all, suppli­cations, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men,but with good works (as becomes women professing godliness).Let the woman learn, becoming silent in all subjection.For I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over a mature man, but to be at rest.For Adam was formed first, then Eve.And Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived in the rebellion;notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if she continues in faith and charity and sanctification and modesty.for kings, and for all that are in authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and integrity.

For he that desires to love life and see the good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil and his lips that they speak no guile;let him separate himself from evil and do good; let him seek peace and follow it.

To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also; for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes I forgave it in the person of Christ,lest Satan should deceive us, for we do not ignore his devices.

I say unto you that likewise there shall be more joy in heaven over one sinner that repents than over ninety-nine just persons, who need no repentance.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brothers, ye have done it unto me.

¶ We then that are stronger ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not please ourselves.And again he says, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and magnify him, all the peoples.And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles shall wait for salvation.¶ And believing, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace that ye may abound in hope by the virtue of the Holy Spirit.¶ But I am convinced regarding you, my brethren, that even without my exhortation ye are full of charity, full of all knowledge, so as to be able to admonish one another.Nevertheless I have written, brethren, in part boldly, as admonishing you by the grace that is given to me of God,being the minister of Jesus Christ, to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be well pleasing, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.¶ Therefore I have something to boast of in Christ Jesus, with regard to God.For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not wrought by me, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, with word and with deed,with power of signs and wonders, in virtue of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem and round about unto Illyricum, I have filled the entire area with the gospel of the Christ.Let each one of us please his neighbour in that which is good, unto edification.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, exercise yourselves in these things.

Let love be without dissimulation, abhorring that which is evil, causing you to come unto that which is good;

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy strength and with all thy understanding, and thy neighbour as thyself.

Let all your things be done with charity.

If I then, the Lord and the Master, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.For I have given you an example that ye should do as I have done to you.

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.

¶ Likewise, young people, be subject to the elders in such a manner that you are all subject to one another. Be clothed with humility of will, for God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,

¶ Let brotherly love continue.We have an altar, of which those who serve the tabernacle have no faculty to eat.For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.Therefore, Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.Let us go forth, therefore, unto him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one that is coming.By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips confessing his name.Do not forget to do good and to fellowship; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.Listen to your pastors, and do not resist them, for they watch for your souls as those that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you.¶ Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience in all things desiring to conduct ourselves well.And I beseech you all the more to do this, that I may be restored unto you sooner.Do not forget to show hospitality; for thereby some, having entertained angels, were kept.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

¶ Beloved, let us love one another, for charity is of God. Anyone that loves is born of God and knows God.

¶ For the rest, brethren, that ye may have joy, be perfected, have consolation, be of one mind, having peace; and the God of peace and charity shall be with you.

Who shall separate us from the charity of Christ? shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?(As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.)Nevertheless, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

¶ Say not thou, I will take vengeance, but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee.

¶ My little children, I write these things unto you, that ye sin not; and if anyone has sinned, we have an Advocate before the Father, Jesus, the righteous Christ;

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom ye have of God, and that ye are not your own?Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?For ye are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

¶ Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

Brethren, I do not reckon to have laid hold of it yet, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and extending myself unto those things which are ahead,I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

And we now know that unto those who love God, all things help them unto good, to those who according to the purpose are called to be saints.

I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

For judgment without mercy shall be done unto the one that has shown no mercy; and mercy boasts against judgment.

Be not deceived: evil companions corrupt good character.

¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?For he that is dead died unto sin once, and he that lives, lives unto God.Likewise also reckon yourselves to be truly dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ, Jesus, our Lord.Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.Neither present your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin, but present yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.So that sin shall have no dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.What then? shall we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? No, in no wise.Or know ye not that to whom ye present yourselves slaves to obey, his slaves ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death or of the obedience unto righteousness?Thank God that, although ye were the slaves of sin, ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine unto which ye are delivered;and freed from sin, ye are become the slaves of righteousness.I speak a human thing because of the weakness of our flesh: that as ye presented your members to serve uncleanness and iniquity unto iniquity, likewise now present your members to serve righteousness unto holiness.No, in no wise. being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.

that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man,that the Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that ye, being rooted and grounded in charity,

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect.

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go and do thou likewise.

For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

¶ Ye are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its savour, with what shall it be salted? From then on it is good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men.Ye are the light of the world. A city set upon a mountain cannot be hid.

And of his fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith;from now on there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all those also that have loved his appearing.

¶ And this is the confidence that we have in God, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us:And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we also know that we have the petitions that we asked of him.

¶ The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters.He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth, by the Spirit, in unfeigned brotherly love, love one another with a pure heart fervently,

being diligent to guard the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and be ready always to respond to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and reverence,

And, behold, they brought him a paralyzed man, lying on a bed; and Jesus, seeing their faith, said unto the paralyzed man, Trust, son; thy sins are forgiven thee.

God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

that ye might walk worthy of the Lord, pleasing him in everything, being fruitful in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God,

¶ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.

So then faith comes by hearing, and the ear to hear by the word of God.

¶ We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

For in another time ye were darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord: walk as children of light;(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),

And not only this, but we even glory in the tribulations, knowing that the tribulation works patience;and patience, experience; and experience, hope;

And if any of you lacks wisdom, let them ask of God (who gives abundantly to all, and without reproach), and it shall be given them.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The Lord is near unto those that are of a broken heart and saves such as are of a contrite spirit.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusts in thee.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

for all have sinned and are made destitute of the glory of God,

¶ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfect, joined together in the same understanding and in the same perception.
