But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who insult you and persecute you,
not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.If therefore thine enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for, so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice;and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any should have a complaint against any; even as the Christ has forgiven you, so also doye.
If any one say, I love God, and hate his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?And this commandment have we from him, That he that loves God love also his brother.
Love has long patience, is kind; love is not emulous of others; love is not insolent and rash, is not puffed up,does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil,
not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing others, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
For if ye forgive men their offences, your heavenly Father also will forgive you yours,but if ye do not forgive men their offences, neither will your Father forgive your offences.
recompensing to no one evil for evil: providing things honest before all men:if possible, as far as depends on you, living in peace with all men;
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,meekness, self-control: against such things there is no law.
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:for thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and Jehovah shall reward thee.
So that, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into various temptations,for man's wrath does not work God's righteousness.
But to you that hear I say, Love your enemies; do good to those that hate you;bless those that curse you; pray for those who use you despitefully.
Every one that hates his brother is a murderer, and ye know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;
He that covereth transgression seeketh love; but he that bringeth a matter up again separateth very friends.
See that no one render to any evil for evil, but pursue always what is good towards one another and towards all;
But in all these things we more than conquer through him that has loved us.For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are noble, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are amiable, whatsoever things areof good report; if there be any virtue and if any praise, think on these things.
Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do ye also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
Beloved, let us love one another; because love is of God, and every one that loves has been begotten of God, and knows God.He that loves not has not known God; for God is love.
Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother should sin, rebuke him; and if he should repent, forgive him.after this manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.In that day, he who shall be on the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not go down to take it away; and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.Remember the wife of Lot.Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose it shall preserve it.I say to you, In that night there shall be two men upon one bed; one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be seized and the other let go.And answering they say to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.And if he should sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times should return to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.
and hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which has been given to us:
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
But the wisdom from above first is pure, then peaceful, gentle, yielding, full of mercy and good fruits, unquestioning, unfeigned.But the fruit of righteousness in peace is sown for them that make peace.
does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth,bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger, and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.By this shall all know that ye are disciples of mine, if ye have love amongst yourselves.
Then Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? until seven times?Jesus says to him, I say not to thee until seven times, but until seventy times seven.
I will therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up pious hands, without wrath or reasoning.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and art of great loving-kindness unto all that call upon thee.
Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted.
Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children,proving what is agreeable to the Lord;and do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also reprove them,for the things that are done by them in secret it is shameful even to say.But all things having their true character exposed by the light are made manifest; for that which makes everything manifest is light.Wherefore he says, Wake up, thou that sleepest, and arise up from among the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise,redeeming the time, because the days are evil.For this reason be not foolish, but understanding what is the will of the Lord.And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and chanting with your heart to the Lord;and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And, parting out his garments, they cast lots.
for judgment will be without mercy to him that has shewn no mercy. Mercy glories over judgment.
So then let us pursue the things which tend to peace, and things whereby one shall build up another.
But to whom ye forgive anything, I also; for I also, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it is for your sakes in the person of Christ;that we might not have Satan get an advantage against us, for we are not ignorant of his thoughts.
Confide in Jehovah, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness;The mouth of the righteous proffereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh judgment;the law of his God is in his heart; his goings shall not slide.The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him:Jehovah will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, and he will exalt thee to possess the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading like a green tree in its native soil:but he passed away, and behold, he was not; and I sought him, but he was not found.Mark the perfect, and behold the upright, for the end of that man is peace;but the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah: he is their strength in the time of trouble.and delight thyself in Jehovah, and he will give thee the desires of thy heart.
I leave peace with you; I give my peace to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it fear.
Confide in Jehovah with all thy heart, and lean not unto thine own intelligence;in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will make plain thy paths.
Pursue peace with all, and holiness, without which no one shall see the Lord:watching lest there be any one who lacks the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;
as to brotherly love, kindly affectioned towards one another: as to honour, each taking the lead in paying it to the other:
And let the peace of Christ preside in your hearts, to which also ye have been called in one body, and be thankful.
Laying aside therefore all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envyings and all evil speakings,
He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love;But ye have not thus learnt the Christ,if ye have heard him and been instructed in him according as the truth is in Jesus;namely your having put off according to the former conversation the old man which corrupts itself according to the deceitful lusts;and being renewed in the spirit of your mind;and your having put on the new man, which according to God is created in truthful righteousness and holiness.Wherefore, having put off falsehood, speak truth every one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another.Be angry, and do not sin; let not the sun set upon your wrath,neither give room for the devil.Let the stealer steal no more, but rather let him toil, working what is honest with his hands, that he may have to distribute to him that has need.Let no corrupt word go out of your mouth, but if there be any good one for needful edification, that it may give grace to those that hear it.using diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace.
And now abide faith, hope, love; these three things; and the greater of these is love.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jehovah is gracious and merciful; slow to anger, and of great loving-kindness.Jehovah is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works.
For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself;but if ye bite and devour one another, see that ye are not consumed one of another.
Let no corrupt word go out of your mouth, but if there be any good one for needful edification, that it may give grace to those that hear it.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;
Judge not, that ye may not be judged;and if he ask a fish, will give him a serpent?If therefore ye, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father who is in the heavens give good things to them that ask of him?Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do ye also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide the gate and broad the way that leads to destruction, and many are they who enter in through it.For narrow the gate and straitened the way that leads to life, and they are few who find it.But beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but within are ravening wolves.By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather a bunch of grapes from thorns, or from thistles figs?So every good tree produces good fruits, but the worthless tree produces bad fruits.A good tree cannot produce bad fruits, nor a worthless tree produce good fruits.Every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you.
For this is the message which ye have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another:
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, every one who judgest, for in that in which thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
let nothing be in the spirit of strife or vain glory, but, in lowliness of mind, each esteeming the other as more excellent than themselves;because for the sake of the work he drew near even to death, venturing his life that he might fill up what lacked in your ministration toward me.regarding not each his own qualities, but each those of others also.
But he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thine understanding; and thy neighbour as thyself.
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has torment, and he that fears has not been made perfect in love.
Search me, O ·God and know my heart; prove me, and know my thoughts;And see if there be any grievous way in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.
Owe no one anything, unless to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
Wherefore, having put off falsehood, speak truth every one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile;Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
who, when reviled, reviled not again; when suffering, threatened not; but gave himself over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your intelligent service.as to brotherly love, kindly affectioned towards one another: as to honour, each taking the lead in paying it to the other:as to diligent zealousness, not slothful; in spirit fervent; serving the Lord.As regards hope, rejoicing: as regards tribulation, enduring: as regards prayer, persevering:distributing to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not.Rejoice with those that rejoice, weep with those that weep.Have the same respect one for another, not minding high things, but going along with the lowly: be not wise in your own eyes:recompensing to no one evil for evil: providing things honest before all men:if possible, as far as depends on you, living in peace with all men;not avenging yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Wherefore encourage one another, and build up each one the other, even as also ye do.
But if any one of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all freely and reproaches not, and it shall be given to him:
He that hath knowledge spareth his words; and a man of understanding is of a cool spirit.Even a fool when he holdeth his peace is reckoned wise, and he that shutteth his lips, intelligent.
For the rest, brethren, rejoice; be perfected; be encouraged; be of one mind; be at peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, if they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise,redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Commit thy way unto Jehovah, and rely upon him: he will bring it to pass;and he will bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
But when they continued asking him, he lifted himself up and said to them, Let him that is without sin among you first cast the stone at her.
Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,
that there might be no division in the body, but that the members might have the same concern one for another.And if one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; and if one member be glorified, all the members rejoice with it.
and let us consider one another for provoking to love and good works;not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom is with some; but encouraging one another, and by so much the more as ye see the day drawing near.
because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual power of wickedness in the heavenlies.
But if thy brother sin against thee, go, reprove him between thee and him alone. If he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
As regards hope, rejoicing: as regards tribulation, enduring: as regards prayer, persevering:
but before all things having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;hospitable one to another, without murmuring;
A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city; and contentions are as the bars of a palace.
Confide in him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before him: God is our refuge. Selah.
Hereby we have known love, because he has laid down his life for us; and we ought for the brethren to lay down our lives.
But we ought, we that are strong, to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
who encourages us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any tribulation whatever, through the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged of God.
and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.
Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Let your conversation be without love of money, satisfied with your present circumstances; for he has said, I will not leave thee, neither will I forsake thee.So that, taking courage, we may say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid: what will man do unto me?
Confess therefore your offences to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The fervent supplication of the righteous man has much power.
And he said to him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy understanding.This is the great and first commandment.And the second is like it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
But we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, be patient towards all.
Deceit is in the heart of them that devise evil; but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
Now the God of endurance and of encouragement give to you to be like-minded one toward another, according to Christ Jesus;that ye may with one accord, with one mouth, glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal.
For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of enclosure,
And he said to them, Take heed and keep yourselves from all covetousness, for it is not because a man is in abundance that his life is in his possessions.
Do all things without murmurings and reasonings,that ye may be harmless and simple, irreproachable children of God in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation; among whom ye appear as lights in the world,
For where two or three are gathered together unto my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Gentleness of tongue is a tree of life; but crookedness therein is a breaking of the spirit.
Let your word be always with grace, seasoned with salt, so as to know how ye ought to answer each one.
But thou, O man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness of spirit.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is ready, but the flesh weak.
So then, as we have occasion, let us do good towards all, and specially towards those of the household of faith.
These things have I spoken to you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good courage: I have overcome the world.
Let your light thus shine before men, so that they may see your upright works, and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.
