But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which spitefully use you, and persecute you;
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, said the Lord.Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.
If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves God love his brother also.
Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity braggs not itself, is not puffed up,Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are thereunto called, that you should inherit a blessing.
For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
If your enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:For you shall heap coals of fire on his head, and the LORD shall reward you.
Why, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:For the wrath of man works not the righteousness of God.
But I say to you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which spitefully use you.
Whoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
He that covers a transgression seeks love; but he that repeats a matter separates very friends.
See that none render evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Therefore all things whatever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God.He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.
Take heed to yourselves: If your brother trespass against you, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.And if he trespass against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to you, saying, I repent; you shall forgive him.
And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
The discretion of a man defers his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
A new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?Jesus said to him, I say not to you, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy to all them that call on you.
Brothers, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.
Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children;And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling smell.
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.He has not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things with which one may edify another.
To whom you forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and truly you shall be fed.Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding.In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;
He that said he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness even until now.He that loves his brother stays in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not where he goes, because that darkness has blinded his eyes.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also you are called in one body; and be you thankful.
Why laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speakings,
The merciful man does good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubles his own flesh.
But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalts folly.
With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love;Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
And now stays faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
But as touching brotherly love you need not that I write to you: for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another.And indeed you do it toward all the brothers which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brothers, that you increase more and more;
The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; You shall love your neighbor as yourself.But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
Judge not, that you be not judged.For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again.
For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are that judge: for wherein you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge do the same things.
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
And he answering said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
Why putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judges righteously:
I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally, and upbraides not; and it shall be given him.
He that has knowledge spares his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted wise: and he that shuts his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
Finally, brothers, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noonday.
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said to them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.
And let us consider one another to provoke to love and to good works:Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your brother.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
Trust in him at all times; you people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you: because he trusts in you.
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of God.
And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.
Cast your burden on the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.This is the first and great commandment.And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Now we exhort you, brothers, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
And he said to them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.
Do all things without murmurings and disputings:That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the middle of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not so to be.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the middle of them.
Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man.
But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to them who are of the household of faith.
And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest on me.Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
