68 Bible verses about Israel

68 Bible verses about Israel

I want to share something powerful with you. God has offered divine forgiveness to Israel. He's redeemed them, forgiven them. Think about that – innocent blood, forgiven. It’s a reminder of the incredible grace available to all of us.

God has exalted Jesus as Prince and Savior, offering repentance and forgiveness of sins. This is a gift, not just for Israel, but for everyone who believes. I encourage you to pray for Israel's salvation. Blessing this holy nation brings blessings in return. God’s grace and favor will become evident in your life when you hold His chosen people close to your heart. They are precious in His sight.

Remember this: never curse Israel. Speaking against them invites judgment and can bring real hardship into your life. Instead, let's lift them up in prayer and show the same love and forgiveness that God has shown us.

Isaiah 44:1-2

Yet now listen, O Jacob, My servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen.Who has formed a god or molded a graven image that is profitable for nothing?Behold, all his companions shall be ashamed; and the workmen, they are mere men. Let them all be gathered together; let them stand up, yet they shall fear; they shall be ashamed together. The smith with the tongs both works in the coals and fashions it with hammers, and works it with the strength of his arms. He becomes hungry, and his strength fails; He drinks no water and is faint. The carpenter stretches out his measuring line; he marks it out with a line; he fits it with planes, and he marks it out with the compass, and makes it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, that it may remain in the house. He hews down cedars for himself, and takes the cypress and the oak, which he raises for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a fir, and the rain makes it grow. Then it shall be for a man to burn, for he will take some of it and warm himself; he kindles it and bakes bread; he also makes a god and worships it; he makes it a graven image and bows down to it.He burns half of it in the fire; over this half he eats meat; he roasts it and is satisfied. Also he warms himself and says, “Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire.”And the rest he makes into a god, even his carved image. He falls down to it, and worships it, and prays to it, and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god.”They have not known nor understood; for He has shut their eyes so that they cannot see, and their hearts so that they cannot understand. No one considers in his heart, nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned part of it in the fire; I also have baked bread on the coals; I have roasted meat and eaten it; and shall I make the rest into an abomination? Shall I fall down to a block of wood?”Thus says the Lord who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you: Do not fear, O Jacob, My servant, and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in My wrath I struck you, but in My favor I have had mercy on you. Therefore, your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or night, so that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and that their kings may be brought. For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish, and those nations shall be utterly destroyed. The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; and I will make the place of My feet glorious. The sons also of those who afflicted you shall come bowing before you, and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you, The City of the Lord, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.Whereas you have been forsaken and hated so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. You shall also suck the milk of the nations and suck the breast of kings; then you shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.Instead of bronze I will bring gold, and instead of iron I will bring silver; and instead of wood, bronze; and instead of stones, iron. I will also make your officers peace and your exactors righteousness.Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor devastation or destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; but the Lord shall be an everlasting light to you and your God for your glory. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord shall rise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you.Your sun shall no more go down, nor shall your moon wane; for the Lord shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall end. Then all your people shall be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.A little one shall become one thousand, and a small one a strong nation. Romans 11:1-2

I say then, has God rejected His people? God forbid! For I also am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.Let their eyes be darkened, so that they may not see, and always bow down their backs.”I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid! But through their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous. Now if their transgression means riches for the world, and their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fullness mean? For I am speaking to you Gentiles. So then, in as much as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,if by any means I may make my kinsmen jealous and might save some of them. For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?If the first portion of the dough is holy, the batch is also holy. And if the root is holy, so are the branches. But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them and became a partaker with them of the root and richness of the olive tree,do not boast against the branches. If you boast, remember you do not sustain the root, but the root sustains you.You will say then, “The branches were broken off, so that I might be grafted in.”God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel, saying,

Genesis 12:1-3

Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country, your family, and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.Now there was a famine in the land, so Abram went down to Egypt to live there, for the famine was severe in the land. When he was getting near to Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, “I know you are a beautiful woman. Therefore, when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ They will then kill me, but they will let you live.Say you are my sister so that I may be treated well for your sake. Then my life will be spared because of you.”So when Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarai was very beautiful. The princes of Pharaoh saw her and commended her to Pharaoh, and she was taken into Pharaoh’s house. He treated Abram well for her sake, and he had sheep and livestock, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels. But the Lord afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Abram’s wife, Sarai. So Pharaoh called Abram, and said, “What have you done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? Why did you say, ‘She is my sister’? I might have taken her as my wife. Now here is your wife; take her and leave.”I will make of you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him, and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had.I will bless those who bless you and curse him who curses you, and in you all families of the earth will be blessed.”

Comfort, O comfort, My people, says your God.Behold, the Lord God will come with a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.He shall feed His flock like a shepherd; He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and calculated the dust of the earth by the measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or as His counselor has taught Him?With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of justice, and taught Him knowledge, and showed to Him the way of understanding?Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance; behold, He takes up the coastlands like fine dust.Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts sufficient as a burnt offering. All nations before Him are as nothing, and they are counted by Him as less than nothing and meaningless. To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to Him?The workman melts a graven image, and the goldsmith spreads it over with gold, and casts silver chains.Speak kindly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare has ended, that her iniquity has been pardoned, that she has received of the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.

Prayer

Good and Faithful Father, all glory and honor be to You! I come before You, surrendering my heart, and giving thanks for the beautiful nation of Israel. Beloved Father, from the depths of my being, I bless the nation of Israel. May Israel be blessed, coming in and going out, blessed in all they do. May peace reign within Israel. I pray, oh God, for Your chosen people of Israel. I ask for Your mercy upon Your beloved nation, the land You chose as Your inheritance. Lord Jesus, may Your beloved Israel return to You with all their hearts, recognizing You as Messiah, Lord, and Savior of their lives. I pray You heal their land with love, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Your word says, "O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is unfailing love and an overflowing supply of salvation." In Jesus' name, Amen.
