I want to share something powerful with you. God has offered divine forgiveness to Israel. He's redeemed them, forgiven them. Think about that – innocent blood, forgiven. It’s a reminder of the incredible grace available to all of us.
God has exalted Jesus as Prince and Savior, offering repentance and forgiveness of sins. This is a gift, not just for Israel, but for everyone who believes. I encourage you to pray for Israel's salvation. Blessing this holy nation brings blessings in return. God’s grace and favor will become evident in your life when you hold His chosen people close to your heart. They are precious in His sight.
Remember this: never curse Israel. Speaking against them invites judgment and can bring real hardship into your life. Instead, let's lift them up in prayer and show the same love and forgiveness that God has shown us.
But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham, My friend —I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corners. I said to you: You are My servant; I have chosen you and not rejected you.
“Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One.Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
“Then get rid of the foreign gods that are among you and offer your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
Lord, forgive Your people Israel You redeemed, and do not hold the shedding of innocent blood against them.’ Then they will be absolved of responsibility for bloodshed.
Go, proclaim these words to the north, and say: Return, unfaithful Israel. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will not look on you with anger, for I am unfailing in My love. This is the Lord’s declaration. I will not be angry forever.
“Your name will no longer be Jacob,” He said. “It will be Israel because you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed.”
“You are My witnesses” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. No god was formed before Me, and there will be none after Me.
“And now listen, Jacob My servant, Israel whom I have chosen.Who makes a god or casts a metal image for no profit?Look, all its worshipers will be put to shame, and the craftsmen are humans. They all will assemble and stand; they all will be startled and put to shame.The ironworker labors over the coals, shapes the idol with hammers, and works it with his strong arm. Also he grows hungry and his strength fails; he doesn’t drink water and is faint.The woodworker stretches out a measuring line, he outlines it with a stylus; he shapes it with chisels and outlines it with a compass. He makes it according to a human likeness, like a beautiful person, to dwell in a temple.He cuts down cedars for his use, or he takes a cypress or an oak. He lets it grow strong among the trees of the forest. He plants a laurel, and the rain makes it grow.It serves as fuel for man. He takes some of it and warms himself; also he kindles a fire and bakes bread; he even makes it into a god and worships it; he makes an idol from it and bows down to it.He burns half of it in a fire, and he roasts meat on that half. He eats the roast and is satisfied. He warms himself and says, “Ah! I am warm, I see the blaze.”He makes a god or his idol with the rest of it. He bows down to it and worships; He prays to it, “Save me, for you are my god.”Such people do not comprehend and cannot understand, for He has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their minds so they cannot understand.No one reflects, no one has the perception or insight to say, “I burned half of it in the fire, I also baked bread on its coals, I roasted meat and ate. I will make something detestable with the rest of it, and I will bow down to a block of wood.”This is the word of the Lord your Maker who formed you from the womb; He will help you: Do not fear; Jacob is My servant; I have chosen Jeshurun.
I call you by your name, because of Jacob My servant and Israel My chosen one. I give a name to you, though you do not know Me.
Now if you will listen to Me and carefully keep My covenant, you will be My own possession out of all the peoples, although all the earth is Mine,and you will be My kingdom of priests and My holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”
“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you except to fear the Lord your God by walking in all His ways, to love Him, and to worship the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul?Keep the Lord’s commands and statutes I am giving you today, for your own good.
For you are a holy people belonging to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be His own possession out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.
‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Me.Now if you will listen to Me and carefully keep My covenant, you will be My own possession out of all the peoples, although all the earth is Mine,and you will be My kingdom of priests and My holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”
Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are small among the clans of Judah; One will come from you to be ruler over Israel for Me. His origin is from antiquity, from eternity.
Israel, put your hope in the Lord. For there is faithful love with the Lord, and with Him is redemption in abundance.
I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. You will know that I am Yahweh your God, who delivered you from the forced labor of the Egyptians.
God exalted this man to His right hand as ruler and Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
“Look, the days are coming” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.This one will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt — a covenant they broke even though I had married them” — the Lord’s declaration.“Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days” — the Lord’s declaration. “I will put My teaching within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them” — this is the Lord’s declaration. “For I will forgive their wrongdoing and never again remember their sin.
I will purify them from all the wrongs they have committed against Me, and I will forgive all the wrongs they have committed against Me, rebelling against Me.
Yet He was compassionate; He atoned for their guilt and did not destroy them. He often turned His anger aside and did not unleash all His wrath.
I have known only you out of all the clans of the earth; therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.
No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them” — this is the Lord’s declaration. “For I will forgive their wrongdoing and never again remember their sin.
For what great nation is there that has a god near to it as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call to Him?
Now this is what the Lord says — the One who created you, Jacob, and the One who formed you, Israel — “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
For the Lord of Hosts says this: “He has sent Me for His glory against the nations who are plundering you, for anyone who touches you touches the pupil of His eye.
and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord shines over you.Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will serve you. Although I struck you in My wrath, yet I will show mercy to you with My favor.Your gates will always be open; they will never be shut day or night so that the wealth of the nations may be brought into you, with their kings being led in procession.For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve you will perish; those nations will be annihilated.The glory of Lebanon will come to you — its pine, fir, and cypress together — to beautify the place of My sanctuary, and I will glorify My dwelling place.The sons of your oppressors will come and bow down to you; all who reviled you will fall facedown at your feet. They will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.Instead of your being deserted and hated, with no one passing through, I will make you an object of eternal pride, a joy from age to age.You will nurse on the milk of nations, and nurse at the breast of kings; you will know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior and Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.I will bring gold instead of bronze; I will bring silver instead of iron, bronze instead of wood, and iron instead of stones. I will appoint peace as your guard and righteousness as your ruler.Violence will never again be heard of in your land; devastation and destruction will be gone from your borders. But you will name your walls salvation and your gates, praise.The sun will no longer be your light by day, and the brightness of the moon will not shine on you; but the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your splendor.For look, darkness covers the earth, and total darkness the peoples; but the Lord will shine over you, and His glory will appear over you.Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not fade; for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and the days of your sorrow will be over.Then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land forever; they are the branch I planted, the work of My hands, so that I may be glorified.The least will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am Yahweh; I will accomplish it quickly in its time.Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your radiance.
for the days are certainly coming” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “when I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel and Judah” — the Lord’s declaration. “I will restore them to the land I gave to their ancestors and they will possess it.”
“For I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances.Then you will live in the land that I gave your fathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God.
Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.”
He says, “It is not enough for you to be My Servant raising up the tribes of Jacob and restoring the protected ones of Israel. I will also make you a light for the nations, to be My salvation to the ends of the earth.”
I ask, then, has God rejected His people? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.Let their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent continually.I ask, then, have they stumbled in order to fall? Absolutely not! On the contrary, by their stumbling, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.Now if their stumbling brings riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full number bring!Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. In view of the fact that I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,if I can somehow make my own people jealous and save some of them.For if their rejection brings reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?Now if the firstfruits offered up are holy, so is the whole batch. And if the root is holy, so are the branches.Now if some of the branches were broken off, and you, though a wild olive branch, were grafted in among them and have come to share in the rich root of the cultivated olive tree,do not brag that you are better than those branches. But if you do brag — you do not sustain the root, but the root sustains you.Then you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.”God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah — how he pleads with God against Israel?
The Lord said to Abram: Go out from your land, your relatives, and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.There was a famine in the land, so Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine in the land was severe.When he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “Look, I know what a beautiful woman you are.When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ They will kill me but let you live.Please say you’re my sister so it will go well for me because of you, and my life will be spared on your account.”When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.Pharaoh’s officials saw her and praised her to Pharaoh, so the woman was taken to Pharaoh’s household.He treated Abram well because of her, and Abram acquired flocks and herds, male and female donkeys, male and female slaves, and camels.But the Lord struck Pharaoh and his household with severe plagues because of Abram’s wife Sarai.So Pharaoh sent for Abram and said, “What have you done to me? Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife?Why did you say, ‘She’s my sister,’ so that I took her as my wife? Now, here is your wife. Take her and go! ”I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.Then Pharaoh gave his men orders about him, and they sent him away with his wife and all he had.I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who treat you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.
tell them: This is what the Lord God says: I am going to take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them into their own land.I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over all of them. They will no longer be two nations and will no longer be divided into two kingdoms.
In those days the house of Judah will join with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land I have given your ancestors to inherit.”
I will not keep silent because of Zion, and I will not keep still because of Jerusalem, until her righteousness shines like a bright light and her salvation, like a flaming torch.
“For just as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, will endure before Me” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “so your offspring and your name will endure.
“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God.See, the Lord God comes with strength, and His power establishes His rule. His reward is with Him, and His gifts accompany Him.He protects His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them in the fold of His garment. He gently leads those that are nursing.Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measure or weighed the mountains in a balance and the hills in the scales?Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or who gave Him His counsel?Who did He consult with? Who gave Him understanding and taught Him the paths of justice? Who taught Him knowledge and showed Him the way of understanding?Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered as a speck of dust in the scales; He lifts up the islands like fine dust.Lebanon is not enough for fuel, or its animals enough for a burnt offering.All the nations are as nothing before Him; they are considered by Him as nothingness and emptiness.Who will you compare God with? What likeness will you compare Him to?To an idol? — something that a smelter casts, and a metalworker plates with gold and makes silver welds for it?“Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and announce to her that her time of forced labor is over, her iniquity has been pardoned, and she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.”
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion. It cannot be shaken; it remains forever.Jerusalem — the mountains surround her. And the Lord surrounds His people, both now and forever.
The Lord will roar from Zion and raise His voice from Jerusalem; heaven and earth will shake. But the Lord will be a refuge for His people, a stronghold for the Israelites.
Yet I will certainly bring health and healing to it and will indeed heal them. I will let them experience the abundance of peace and truth.
Then they will know that I, Yahweh their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.
and many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us about His ways so we may walk in His paths.” For instruction will go out of Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
Indeed, your husband is your Maker — His name is Yahweh of Hosts — and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth.
It is a land the Lord your God cares for. He is always watching over it from the beginning to the end of the year.
Israel, put your hope in the Lord. For there is faithful love with the Lord, and with Him is redemption in abundance.And He will redeem Israel from all its sins.
They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, and the promises.The ancestors are theirs, and from them, by physical descent, came the Messiah, who is God over all, praised forever. Amen.
Nations, hear the word of the Lord, and tell it among the far off coastlands! Say: The One who scattered Israel will gather him. He will watch over him as a shepherd guards his flock,
“Therefore say: This is what the Lord God says: I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
The Lord of Hosts says this: “I will save My people from the land of the east and the land of the west.I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem. They will be My people, and I will be their faithful and righteous God.”
Israel will be saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated for all eternity.
He has remembered His love and faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen our God’s victory.
And who is like Your people Israel? God came to one nation on earth in order to redeem a people for Himself, to make a name for Himself, and to perform for them great and awesome acts, driving out nations and their gods before Your people You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt.You established Your people Israel to be Your own people forever, and You, Lord, have become their God.
Moses went up the mountain to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain: “This is what you must say to the house of Jacob, and explain to the Israelites:‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Me.Now if you will listen to Me and carefully keep My covenant, you will be My own possession out of all the peoples, although all the earth is Mine,and you will be My kingdom of priests and My holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”
For the Lord will have compassion on Jacob and will choose Israel again. He will settle them on their own land. The foreigner will join them and be united with the house of Jacob.
But I will bring you health and will heal you of your wounds — this is the Lord’s declaration — for they call you Outcast, Zion whom no one cares about.
the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.
