I encourage you to pray for Israel's salvation. Blessing this holy nation brings blessings in return. God’s grace and favor will become evident in your life when you hold His chosen people close to your heart. They are precious in His sight.
Remember this: never curse Israel. Speaking against them invites judgment and can bring real hardship into your life. Instead, let's lift them up in prayer and show the same love and forgiveness that God has shown us.

Or even a pine tree planted by the woodcarver and watered by the rain.Some of the wood is used to make a fire for heating or for cooking. One piece is made into an idol, then the woodcarver bows down and worships it.He enjoys the warm fire and the meat that was roasted over the burning coals.Afterwards, he bows down to worship the wooden idol. “Protect me!” he says. “You are my god.”Those who worship idols are stupid and blind!They don't have enough sense to say to themselves, “I made a fire with half of the wood and cooked my bread and meat on it. Then I made something worthless with the other half. Why worship a block of wood?”I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born. Israel, don't be terrified! You are my chosen servant, my very favorite.
Cyrus, you don't even know me! But I have called you by name and highly honored you because of Israel, my chosen servant.

Someday I will let my people from both Israel and Judah return to the land I gave their ancestors.”
I will gather you from the foreign nations and bring you home.I will sprinkle you with clean water, and you will be clean and acceptable to me. I will wash away everything that makes you unclean, and I will remove your disgusting idols.I will take away your stubborn heart and give you a new heart and a desire to be faithful. You will have only pure thoughts,because I will put my Spirit in you and make you eager to obey my laws and teachings.You will once again live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.
Be brave and strong! Don't be afraid of the nations on the other side of the Jordan. The Lord your God will always be at your side, and he will never abandon you.
Now the Lord says to me, “It isn't enough for you to be merely my servant. You must do more than lead back survivors from the tribes of Israel. I have placed you here as a light for other nations; you must take my saving power to everyone on earth.”
Am I saying that God has turned his back on his people? Certainly not! I am one of the people of Israel, and I myself am a descendant of Abraham from the tribe of Benjamin.Blindfold their eyes! If the roots of a tree are holy, the rest of the tree is holy too.You Gentiles are like branches of a wild olive tree made to be part of a cultivated olive tree. You have taken the place of some branches that were cut away from it. And because of this, you enjoy the blessings that come from being part of that cultivated tree.But don't think you are better than the branches that were cut away. Just remember you are not supporting the roots of this tree. Its roots are supporting you.Maybe you think those branches were cut away, so you could be put in their place.God did not turn his back on his chosen people. Don't you remember reading in the Scriptures how Elijah complained to God about the people of Israel?
The Lord said to Abram: Leave your country, your family, and your relatives and go to the land that I will show you.The crops failed, and there was no food anywhere in Canaan. So Abram and his wife Sarai went to live in Egypt for a while. But just before they got there, Abram said, “Sarai, you are really beautiful!When the Egyptians see you, they will murder me because I am your husband. But they won't kill you.Please save my life by saying you are my sister.” As soon as Abram and Sarai arrived in Egypt, the Egyptians noticed how beautiful she was.The king's officials told him about her, and she was taken to his house.The king was good to Abram because of Sarai, and Abram was given sheep, cattle, donkeys, slaves, and camels.Because of Sarai, the Lord struck the king and everyone in his palace with terrible diseases.Finally, the king sent for Abram and said to him, “What have you done to me? Why didn't you tell me Sarai was your wife?Why did you make me believe she was your sister? Now I've married her. Take her and go! She's your wife.”I will bless you and make your descendants into a great nation. You will become famous and be a blessing to others.So the king told his men to let Abram and Sarai take their possessions and leave.I will bless those who bless you, but I will put a curse on anyone who puts a curse on you. Everyone on earth will be blessed because of you.
and then say: I, the Lord God, will gather the people of Israel and bring them home from the foreign nations where they now live.I will make them into one nation and let them once again live in the land of Israel. Only one king will rule them, and they will never again be divided into two nations.
Then, in countries to the north, you people of Judah and Israel will be reunited, and you will return to the land I gave your ancestors.
Jerusalem, I will speak up for your good. I will never be silent till you are safe and secure, sparkling like a flame.
I also promise that you will always have descendants and will never be forgotten, just as the new heavens and the new earth that I create will last forever.
Our God has said: “Encourage my people! Give them comfort.Look! The powerful Lord God is coming to rule with his mighty arm. He brings with him what he has taken in war, and he rewards his people.The Lord cares for his nation, just as shepherds care for their flocks. He carries the lambs in his arms, while gently leading the mother sheep.Did any of you measure the ocean by yourself or stretch out the sky with your own hands? Did you put the soil of the earth in a bucket or weigh the hills and mountains on balance scales?Has anyone told the Lord what he must do or given him advice?Did the Lord ask anyone to teach him wisdom and justice? Who gave him knowledge and understanding?To the Lord, all nations are merely a drop in a bucket or dust on balance scales; all of the islands are but a handful of sand.The cattle on the mountains of Lebanon would not be enough to offer as a sacrifice to God, and the trees would not be enough for the fire.God thinks of the nations as far less than nothing.Who compares with God? Is anything like him?Is an idol at all like God? It is made of bronze with a thin layer of gold, and decorated with silver.Speak kindly to Jerusalem and announce: Your slavery is past; your punishment is over. I, the Lord, made you pay double for your sins.”
Everyone who trusts the Lord is like Mount Zion that cannot be shaken and will stand forever.Just as Jerusalem is protected by mountains on every side, the Lord protects his people by holding them in his arms now and forever.
From the heart of Jerusalem the Lord roars like a lion, shaking the earth and sky. But the Lord is a fortress, a place of safety for his people Israel.
Then someday, I will heal this place and my people as well, and let them enjoy unending peace.
Then everyone will know that I protect my people Israel. I, the Lord, make this promise.
People of many nations will come and say, “Let's go up to the mountain of the Lord God of Jacob and worship in his temple.” The Lord will teach us his Law from Jerusalem, and we will obey him.
The Lord All-Powerful, the Holy God of Israel, rules all the earth. He is your Creator and husband, and he will rescue you.
because the Lord your God keeps his eye on this land and takes care of it all year long.
Israel, trust the Lord! God is always merciful and has the power to save you.Israel, the Lord will save you from all your sins.
They are the descendants of Israel, and they are also God's chosen people. God showed them his glory. He made agreements with them and gave them his Law. The temple is theirs and so are the promises that God made to them.They have those famous ancestors, who were also the ancestors of the Christ. I pray that God, who rules over all, will be praised forever! Amen.
Listen to me, you nations nearby or across the sea. I scattered the people of Israel, but I will gather them again. I will protect them like a shepherd guarding a flock;
And someday, I will gather you from the nations where you are scattered and let you live in Israel again.
I will save those who were taken to lands in the east and the west,and I will bring them to live in Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their God, faithful to bring about justice.
God has been faithful in his love for Israel, and his saving power is seen everywhere on earth.
And there is no other nation on earth like Israel, the nation you rescued from slavery in Egypt to be your own. You became famous by using great and wonderful miracles to force other nations and their gods out of your land, so your people could live here.You have chosen Israel to be your people forever, and you have become their God.

The Lord will have mercy on Israel and will let them be his chosen people once again. He will bring them back to their own land, and foreigners will join them as part of Israel.
No one wants you as a friend or cares what happens to you. But I will heal your injuries, and you will get well.
