I want to share something powerful with you. God has offered divine forgiveness to Israel. He's redeemed them, forgiven them. Think about that – innocent blood, forgiven. It’s a reminder of the incredible grace available to all of us.
God has exalted Jesus as Prince and Savior, offering repentance and forgiveness of sins. This is a gift, not just for Israel, but for everyone who believes. I encourage you to pray for Israel's salvation. Blessing this holy nation brings blessings in return. God’s grace and favor will become evident in your life when you hold His chosen people close to your heart. They are precious in His sight.
Remember this: never curse Israel. Speaking against them invites judgment and can bring real hardship into your life. Instead, let's lift them up in prayer and show the same love and forgiveness that God has shown us.
“But you, O Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, descendant of Abraham My friend—I brought you from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corners. I said, ‘You are My servant.’ I have chosen and not rejected you.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One.And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
“Now, therefore,” he said, “get rid of the foreign gods among you and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
Accept this atonement, O Lord, for Your people Israel whom You have redeemed, and do not hold the shedding of innocent blood against them.” And the bloodshed will be atoned for.
Go, proclaim this message toward the north: ‘Return, O faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord. ‘I will no longer look on you with anger, for I am merciful,’ declares the Lord. ‘I will not be angry forever.
Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men, and you have prevailed.”
“You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may consider and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was formed, and after Me none will come.
But now listen, O Jacob My servant, Israel, whom I have chosen.Who fashions a god or casts an idol which profits him nothing?Behold, all his companions will be put to shame, for the craftsmen themselves are only human. Let them all assemble and take their stand; they will all be brought to terror and shame.The blacksmith takes a tool and labors over the coals; he fashions an idol with hammers and forges it with his strong arms. Yet he grows hungry and loses his strength; he fails to drink water and grows faint.The woodworker extends a measuring line; he marks it out with a stylus; he shapes it with chisels and outlines it with a compass. He fashions it in the likeness of man, like man in all his glory, that it may dwell in a shrine.He cuts down cedars or retrieves a cypress or oak. He lets it grow strong among the trees of the forest. He plants a laurel, and the rain makes it grow.It serves as fuel for man. He takes some of it to warm himself, and he kindles a fire and bakes his bread; he even fashions it into a god and worships it; he makes an idol and bows down to it.He burns half of it in the fire, and he roasts meat on that half. He eats the roast and is satisfied. Indeed, he warms himself and says, “Ah! I am warm; I see the fire.”From the rest he makes a god, his graven image. He bows down to it and worships; he prays to it and says, “Save me, for you are my god.”They do not comprehend or discern, for He has shut their eyes so they cannot see and closed their minds so they cannot understand.And no one considers in his heart, no one has the knowledge or insight to say, “I burned half of it in the fire, and I baked bread on its coals; I roasted meat and I ate. Shall I make something detestable with the rest of it? Shall I bow down to a block of wood?”This is the word of the Lord, your Maker, who formed you from the womb and who will help you: “Do not be afraid, O Jacob My servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
For the sake of Jacob My servant and Israel My chosen one, I call you by name; I have given you a title of honor, though you have not known Me.
Now if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you will be My treasured possession out of all the nations—for the whole earth is Mine.And unto Me you shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to speak to the Israelites.”
And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God by walking in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,and to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord that I am giving you this day for your own good?
For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His prized possession out of all peoples on the face of the earth.
‘You have seen for yourselves what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.Now if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you will be My treasured possession out of all the nations—for the whole earth is Mine.And unto Me you shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to speak to the Israelites.”
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for Me One to be ruler over Israel — One whose origins are of old, from the days of eternity.
O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance.
I will take you as My own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.
God exalted Him to His right hand as Prince and Savior, in order to grant repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.
Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt— a covenant they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord.“But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord. I will put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people.No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”
And I will cleanse them from all the iniquity they have committed against Me, and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against Me.
And yet He was compassionate; He forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them. He often restrained His anger and did not unleash His full wrath.
“Only you have I known from all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.”
No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”
For what nation is great enough to have a god as near to them as the Lord our God is to us whenever we call on Him?
Now this is what the Lord says— He who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine!
For this is what the Lord of Hosts says: “After His Glory has sent Me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye—
and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Although I struck you in anger, yet in favor I will show you mercy.Your gates will always stand open; they will never be shut, day or night, so that the wealth of the nations may be brought into you, with their kings being led in procession.For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly destroyed.The glory of Lebanon will come to you— its cypress, elm, and boxwood together— to adorn the place of My sanctuary, and I will glorify the place of My feet.The sons of your oppressors will come and bow down to you; all who reviled you will fall facedown at your feet and call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.Whereas you have been forsaken and despised, with no one passing through, I will make you an everlasting pride, a joy from age to age.You will drink the milk of nations and nurse at the breasts of royalty; you will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.Instead of bronze I will bring you gold; I will bring silver in place of iron, bronze instead of wood, and iron instead of stones. I will appoint peace as your governor and righteousness as your ruler.No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders. But you will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.No longer will the sun be your light by day, nor the brightness of the moon shine on your night; for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your splendor. For behold, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you, and His glory will appear over you.Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not wane; for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and the days of your sorrow will cease.Then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land forever; they are the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, so that I may be glorified.The least of you will become a thousand, and the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will accomplish it quickly.Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
For behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will restore from captivity My people Israel and Judah, declares the Lord. I will restore them to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.’”
For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all the countries, and I will bring you back into your own land.I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and to carefully observe My ordinances.Then you will live in the land that I gave your forefathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God.
Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or terrified of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
He says: “It is not enough for You to be My Servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the protected ones of Israel. I will also make You a light for the nations, to bring My salvation to the ends of the earth.”
I ask then, did God reject His people? Certainly not! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever.” I ask then, did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Certainly not! However, because of their trespass, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.But if their trespass means riches for the world, and their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministryin the hope that I may provoke my own people to jealousy and save some of them.For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?If the first part of the dough is holy, so is the whole batch; if the root is holy, so are the branches.Now if some branches have been broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others to share in the nourishment of the olive root,do not boast over those branches. If you do, remember this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.”God did not reject His people, whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says about Elijah, how he appealed to God against Israel:
Then the Lord said to Abram, “Leave your country, your kindred, and your father’s household, and go to the land I will show you. Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “Look, I know that you are a beautiful woman,and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live.Please say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake, and on account of you my life will be spared.”So when Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.When Pharaoh’s officials saw Sarai, they commended her to him, and she was taken into the palace of Pharaoh.He treated Abram well on her account, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, menservants and maidservants, and camels.The Lord, however, afflicted Pharaoh and his household with severe plagues because of Abram’s wife Sarai.So Pharaoh summoned Abram and asked, “What have you done to me? Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife?Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her as my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and go!”I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.Then Pharaoh gave his men orders concerning Abram, and they sent him away with his wife and all his possessions.I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”
you are to tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will take the Israelites out of the nations to which they have gone, and I will gather them from all around and bring them into their own land.I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel, and one king will rule over all of them. Then they will no longer be two nations and will never again be divided into two kingdoms.
In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land that I gave to your fathers as an inheritance.
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep still, until her righteousness shines like a bright light, her salvation like a blazing torch.
“For just as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, will endure before Me,” declares the Lord, “so your descendants and your name will endure.
“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God.Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and His arm establishes His rule. His reward is with Him, and His recompense accompanies Him.He tends His flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart. He gently leads the nursing ewes.Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or marked off the heavens with the span of his hand? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on a scale and the hills with a balance?Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, or informed Him as His counselor? Whom did He consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the paths of justice? Who imparted knowledge to Him and showed Him the way of understanding?Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are considered a speck of dust on the scales; He lifts up the islands like fine dust. Lebanon is not sufficient for fuel, nor its animals enough for a burnt offering.All the nations are as nothing before Him; He regards them as nothingness and emptiness.To whom will you liken God? To what image will you compare Him?To an idol that a craftsman casts and a metalworker overlays with gold and fits with silver chains?“Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her forced labor has been completed; her iniquity has been pardoned. For she has received from the hand of the Lord double for all her sins.”
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion. It cannot be moved; it abides forever.As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.
The Lord will roar from Zion and raise His voice from Jerusalem; heaven and earth will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for His people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.
Nevertheless, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal its people and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.
Then they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people,’ declares the Lord GOD.
And many nations will come and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
For your husband is your Maker— the Lord of Hosts is His name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth.
It is a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning to the end of the year.
O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is loving devotion, and with Him is redemption in abundance.And He will redeem Israel from all iniquity.
the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory and the covenants; theirs the giving of the law, the temple worship, and the promises.Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them proceeds the human descent of Christ, who is God over all, forever worthy of praise! Amen.
Hear, O nations, the word of the Lord, and proclaim it in distant coastlands: “The One who scattered Israel will gather them and keep them as a shepherd keeps his flock.
Therefore declare that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you from the countries to which you have been scattered, and I will give back to you the land of Israel.’
This is what the Lord of Hosts says: “I will save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west.I will bring them back to dwell in Jerusalem, where they will be My people, and I will be their faithful and righteous God.”
But Israel will be saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; you will not be put to shame or humiliated, to ages everlasting.
He has remembered His love and faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
And who is like Your people Israel—the one nation on earth whom God went out to redeem as a people for Himself and to make a name for Himself? You performed great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before Your people, whom You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt.For You have established Your people Israel as Your very own forever, and You, O Lord, have become their God.
Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain, “This is what you are to tell the house of Jacob and explain to the sons of Israel:‘You have seen for yourselves what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.Now if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, you will be My treasured possession out of all the nations—for the whole earth is Mine.And unto Me you shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to speak to the Israelites.”
For the Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again He will choose Israel and settle them in their own land. The foreigner will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.
But I will restore your health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord, because they call you an outcast, Zion, for whom no one cares.”
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving devotion.
