60 Bible Verses to Bless Israel

60 Bible Verses to Bless Israel

I want to share something that's been on my heart lately: blessing Israel. The Bible is pretty clear that God chose Israel out of all the nations to reveal his glory. It's like they were hand-picked for a special purpose – to be a model nation and a channel of blessing for everyone else, for "all the families of the earth."

It's incredible to think about God's mercy, preserving a remnant of the very people who crucified Christ. It really shows how overwhelming his grace is. It makes me want to pray for that remnant, to lift up all the people of Israel in prayer, and declare blessings over them. After all, the Scriptures tell us that those who bless Israel will be blessed.

And while we're at it, let's not forget to pray for and bless all the other nations too. There's so much need in the world, and we can all make a difference by lifting each other up in prayer.

Genesis 12:2

Then I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, so that you will exemplify divine blessing.

Who teaches him the correct way to do things, or imparts knowledge to him, or instructs him in skillful design?Look, the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales. He lifts the coastlands as if they were dust. Not even Lebanon could supply enough firewood for a sacrifice; its wild animals would not provide enough burnt offerings. All the nations are insignificant before him; they are regarded as absolutely nothing. To whom can you compare God? To what image can you liken him?A craftsman casts an idol; a metalsmith overlays it with gold and forges silver chains for it.“Speak kindly to Jerusalem, and tell her that her time of warfare is over, that her punishment is completed. For the Lord has made her pay double for all her sins.”

Prayer

Lord, You are the Alpha and the Omega! Father, Creator of heaven and earth, You are the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Bless all generations of Your people, Lord. In the midst of conflicts and wars, may You fight the battles of Your beloved nation. May Israel be blessed, and all who dwell within her. Bless her coming and her going. May Your grace, favor, and mercy surround her always. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, rest upon their hearts. I also pray that they may recognize in their lives the new covenant of salvation, which You established on the cross through my Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, Your word says, "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." My God, I will not cease to pray for the peace and blessing of Your nation, for there lies my blessing and the blessing of my family. Lord, to You be all the glory and honor. In Jesus' name, Amen.
