Judge the poor and the fatherless, do justice to the afflicted and the destitute;Rescue the poor and needy, deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

What is the profit, my brethren, if any one say he have faith, but have not works? can faith save him?Now if a brother or a sister is naked and destitute of daily food,and one from amongst you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled; but give not to them the needful things for the body, what is the profit?So also faith, if it have not works, is dead by itself.

But a certain Samaritan journeying came to him, and seeing him, was moved with compassion,and came up to him and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine; and having put him on his own beast, took him to the inn and took care of him.

Enjoin on those rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust on the uncertainty of riches; but in the God who affords us all things richly for our enjoyment;to do good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal in distributing, disposed to communicate of their substance,laying by for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold of what is really life.

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to gain.

Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

The earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

For it is not in order that there may be ease for others, and for you distress,but on the principle of equality; in the present time your abundance for their lack, that their abundance may be for your lack, so that there should be equality.According as it is written, He who gathered much had no excess, and he who gathered little was nothing short.

Therefore all things whatever ye desire that men should do to you, thus do ye also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.

only that we should remember the poor, which same thing also I was diligent to do.

But of doing good and communicating of your substance be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Better is it to be of a humble spirit with the meek, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

but let us not lose heart in doing good; for in due time, if we do not faint, we shall reap.

Thou shalt bountifully give unto him, and thy heart shall not be evil-disposed when thou givest unto him; because for this thing Jehovah thy God will bless thee in all thy works, and in all the business of thy hand.

But I am afflicted and needy: the Lord thinketh upon me. Thou art my help and my deliverer: my God make no delay.

Jesus said to him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell what thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.

The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor; the wicked understandeth not knowledge.

For Jehovah Elohim is a sun and shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

So then, as we have occasion, let us do good towards all, and specially towards those of the household of faith.

He scattereth abroad, he giveth to the needy; his righteousness abideth for ever: his horn shall be exalted with honour.

He coveteth greedily all the day long; but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah hath anointed me to announce glad tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of the prison to them that are bound;I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with the priestly turban, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as a garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God to comfort all that mourn;to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, that beauty should be given unto them instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness: that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

So then let us pursue the things which tend to peace, and things whereby one shall build up another.

Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted.

Hallelujah!For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and I will call upon him during all my days.

Bless Jehovah, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name!He hath not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward them that fear him.As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.As a father pitieth his children, so Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.For himself knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth:For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone, and the place thereof knoweth it no more.But the loving-kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting and to everlasting, upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,To such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his precepts to do them.Jehovah hath established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom ruleth over all.Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:Bless Jehovah, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.Bless Jehovah, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his that do his will.Bless Jehovah, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless Jehovah, O my soul!Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases;Who redeemeth thy life from the pit, who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies;Who satisfieth thine old age with good things; thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
