but in the seventh thou shalt let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of thy people may eat of it; and what they leave, the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thine olive-tree.
Owe no one anything, unless to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.

Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring to thy house the needy wanderers; when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Now if a brother or a sister is naked and destitute of daily food,and one from amongst you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled; but give not to them the needful things for the body, what is the profit?
To every one that asks of thee, give; and from him that takes away what is thine, ask it not back.
And if I shall dole out all my goods in food, and if I deliver up my body that I may be burned, but have not love, I profit nothing.
If there be amongst you a poor man, any one of thy brethren in one of thy gates, in thy land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy brother in need;but thou shalt open thy hand bountifully unto him, and shalt certainly lend him on pledge what is sufficient for his need, in that which he lacketh.
Sell what ye possess and give alms; make to yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure which does not fail in the heavens, where thief does not draw near nor moth destroy.For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.
Enjoin on those rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to trust on the uncertainty of riches; but in the God who affords us all things richly for our enjoyment;to do good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal in distributing, disposed to communicate of their substance,laying by for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold of what is really life.
If therefore thine enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for, so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.
For the needy shall never cease from within the land; therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thy hand bountifully unto thy brother, to thy poor and to thy needy, in thy land.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work, and the love which ye have shewn to his name, having ministered to the saints, and still ministering.
but he who knew it not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. And to every one to whom much has been given, much shall be required from him; and to whom menhave committed much, they will ask from him the more.
Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness; he is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.
See what love the Father has given to us, that we should be called the children of God. For this reason the world knows us not, because it knew him not.
A righteous man is concerned for the life of his beast; but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
For ye have been called to liberty, brethren; only do not turn liberty into an opportunity to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
They have been well pleased indeed, and they are their debtors; for if the nations have participated in their spiritual things, they ought also in fleshly to minister to them.
He that is slow to anger is of great understanding; but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and strengthen thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a water-spring, whose waters deceive not.
And thy vineyard shalt thou not glean, neither shalt thou gather what hath been left of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and the stranger: I am Jehovah your God
When thou reapest thy harvest in thy field, and forgettest a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not return to fetch it; it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in all the work of thy hands.
And when Jesus had heard this, he said to him, One thing is lacking to thee yet: Sell all that thou hast and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens, and come, follow me.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal.

And he answering says to them, He that has two body-coats, let him give to him that has none; and he that has food, let him do likewise.
and thou proffer thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall thy light rise in the darkness, and thine obscurity be as midday;
The liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom: for with the same measure with which ye mete it shall be measured to you again.
And the King answering shall say to them, Verily, I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me.
But of doing good and communicating of your substance be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
He that is gracious to the poor lendeth unto Jehovah; and what he hath bestowed will he repay unto him.
To him that asks of thee give, and from him that desires to borrow of thee turn not away.
I have shewed you all things, that thus labouring we ought to come in aid of the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
So then, as we have occasion, let us do good towards all, and specially towards those of the household of faith.
But whoso may have the world's substance, and see his brother having need, and shut up his bowels from him, how abides the love of God in him?
For if the readiness be there, a man is accepted according to what he may have, not according to what he has not.
Now he that supplies seed to the sower and bread for eating shall supply and make abundant your sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness:
learn to do well: seek judgment, gladden the oppressed, do justice to the fatherless, plead for the widow.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is right, but it tendeth only to want.
But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I return him fourfold.
that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty has abounded to the riches of their free-hearted liberality.
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack; but he that withdraweth his eyes shall have many a curse.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it.
Heal the infirm, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons: ye have received gratuitously, give gratuitously.
But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer willingly after this manner? for all is of thee, and of that which is from thy hand have we given thee.
each shall give according to that which is in his power to give, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God which he hath given thee.
If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or caused the eyes of the widow to fail;Or have eaten my morsel alone, so that the fatherless ate not thereof,(For from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, and I have guided the widow from my mother's womb;)
and sold their possessions and substance, and distributed them to all, according as any one might have need.
But when thou makest a feast, call poor, crippled, lame, blind:and thou shalt be blessed; for they have not the means to recompense thee; for it shall be recompensed thee in the resurrection of the just.
