You have the power to make choices and change any area of your life, but real transformation comes from God. It's not something you can muscle through on your own; it's the work of Christ in those who sincerely ask for His help in living a transformed life.
Breaking free from sin is tough, I know, but through the power of the Holy Spirit and our relationship with Him, anything is possible. God wants us to live in a state of continual transformation, and that only happens when we surrender our lives to Jesus. It means acknowledging that we need Him and that He's the only one who can bring about true change—in our minds and how we live.
Today is the day to decide to embrace inner transformation, to let Jesus be formed in your heart. Let Him be glorified in you, and He'll give you a life of triumph and glory. Transformation means movement, after all.
God will keep working in you until you are transformed into the likeness of Christ, reflecting more and more of His glory through the power of the Holy Spirit.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
That ye put off concerning the former manner of life the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts:And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind;And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Lie not one to another, seeing ye have put off the old man with his deeds;And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily, I say to thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord,
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn to the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth of the evil.
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; lewdness, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren.
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Cast away from you all your transgressions, by which ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his beloved Son:In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not by works, lest any man should boast.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to publish good tidings to the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,And what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Wherefore, seeing we also are encompassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts, by the Holy Spirit which is given to us.
He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of deportment.Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Trust in the LORD with all thy heart; and lean not to thy own understanding.In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But Jesus beheld them, and said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
For through the grace given to me, I say, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
According as his divine power hath given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith towards God,
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you:For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, the door shall be opened.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts:And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Now he who establisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the spirit in our hearts.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, even Christ:
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:Who will change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like to his glorious body, according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things to himself.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
If a man therefore will cleanse himself from these, he will be a vessel to honor, sanctified and meet for the master's use, and prepared to every good work.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless return with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
And you hath he revived, who were dead in trespasses and sins;In which in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:Among whom also we all had our manner of life in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,Even when we were dead in sins, hath made us alive together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
For I through the law am dead to the law, that I may live to God.I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
And you, that were formerly alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled,In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight:
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt thou not deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
Only let your manner of life be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man is wasted, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh out for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Come to me, all ye that labor, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me: for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest to your souls.For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who from God is made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;So that thou incline thy ear to wisdom, and apply thy heart to understanding;Yes, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil-speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.For if any is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a glass:For he beholdeth himself, and goeth away, and immediately forgetteth what manner of man he was.But he who looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth in it, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Now therefore hearken to me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
And let us consider one another to excite to love and to good works:Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh:That they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
