You have the power to make choices and change any area of your life, but real transformation comes from God. It's not something you can muscle through on your own; it's the work of Christ in those who sincerely ask for His help in living a transformed life.
Breaking free from sin is tough, I know, but through the power of the Holy Spirit and our relationship with Him, anything is possible. God wants us to live in a state of continual transformation, and that only happens when we surrender our lives to Jesus. It means acknowledging that we need Him and that He's the only one who can bring about true change—in our minds and how we live.
Today is the day to decide to embrace inner transformation, to let Jesus be formed in your heart. Let Him be glorified in you, and He'll give you a life of triumph and glory. Transformation means movement, after all.
God will keep working in you until you are transformed into the likeness of Christ, reflecting more and more of His glory through the power of the Holy Spirit.
And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
That you put off concerning the former conduct the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;And that you put on the new man, which after the manner of God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds;And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;
And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
And break your heart, and not your garments, and turn to the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents of the evil.
Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, unsanctified passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry,
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
Put away from you all your transgressions, by which you have transgressed; and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die, O house of Israel?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old.Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring up; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has transferred us into the kingdom of his dear Son:In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest anyone should boast.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision profits anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,And what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Therefore seeing that we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
And hope does not make us ashamed; because the love of God is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given to us.
He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
But as he who has called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conduct;Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and do not rely on your own understanding.In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love him.
But Jesus beheld them, and said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to everyone that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
According as his divine power has given to us all things that concern life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us to glory and virtue:By which are given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you may be sharers in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
And may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it.
But those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:For every one who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks it shall be opened.
Search me, O God, and know my heart: examine me, and know my thoughts:And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Now he who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, is God;Who has also sealed us, and given the guarantee of the Spirit in our hearts.
There has no temptation overtaken you but such as is common to mankind: but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted more than you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, even Christ:
For our conduct is in heaven; from which also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:Who shall change our lowly body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body, according to the working by which he is able even to subdue all things to himself.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
If a person therefore cleanses himself from these, he shall be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and fit for the master’s use, and prepared for every good work.
Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.He that goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
And you has he made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins;In which in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience:Among whom also we all had our conduct in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.But God, who is rich in mercy, in his great love with which he loved us,Even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live to God.I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
And you, who were at one time alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciledIn the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
But now thus says the LORD who created you, O Jacob, and he who formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine.When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you.
For you have delivered my soul from death: will you not deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
Only let your conduct be suitable for the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
For which reason we do not faint; but though our outward man is perishing, yet the inner man is being renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Come unto me, all you who labor and bear heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest for your souls.For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
But you are of him in Christ Jesus, who from God is made to be for us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.
My son, if you will receive my words, and hide my commandments with you;So that you turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;Yea, if you cry out for knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding;If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;Then you shall understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word do I hope.My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning: I say, more than those who watch for the morning.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for when the time is right we shall reap, if we do not faint.
Be kindly affectioned to one another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is sustained on you: because he trusts in you.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, merciful compassion, kindness, humility of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Likewise consider yourselves also to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.For if anyone is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues in it, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Now therefore listen to me, O you children: for blessed are those who keep my ways.Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
And let us consider one another to provoke to love and to good works:Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh:That they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
But we all, with unveiled faces beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
