You have the power to make choices and change any area of your life, but real transformation comes from God. It's not something you can muscle through on your own; it's the work of Christ in those who sincerely ask for His help in living a transformed life.
Breaking free from sin is tough, I know, but through the power of the Holy Spirit and our relationship with Him, anything is possible. God wants us to live in a state of continual transformation, and that only happens when we surrender our lives to Jesus. It means acknowledging that we need Him and that He's the only one who can bring about true change—in our minds and how we live.
Today is the day to decide to embrace inner transformation, to let Jesus be formed in your heart. Let Him be glorified in you, and He'll give you a life of triumph and glory. Transformation means movement, after all.
God will keep working in you until you are transformed into the likeness of Christ, reflecting more and more of His glory through the power of the Holy Spirit.
And do not fashion yourselves after this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
having been persuaded of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus;
that you put off, concerning your former way of life, the old man which is being corrupted according to the deceitful lusts,and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and that you put on the new man which was created in the likeness of God, in true righteousness and holiness.
And I will give you a new heart, and will put a new spirit in you: and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh.
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Do not lie to one another, since you have stripped off the old man with his practices,and have put on the new man who is renewed in full knowledge according to the image of Him who created it,
Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Repent therefore and turn back, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that seasons of relaxation may come from the presence of the Lord,
not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
and tear your hearts, and not your garments, and turn to the Lord your God: for He is merciful and compassionate, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy, and relenting of evil.
Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
Because whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellent virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Cast away from yourselves all your ungodliness in which you have sinned against Me; and make to yourselves a new heart and a new spirit: for why should you die, O house of Israel?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, self-control--against such things there is no law.
Remember not the former things, and consider not the ancient things.Behold, I will do new things, which shall presently spring forth, and you shall know them; and I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the dry land;
Thus let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works, and they may glorify your Father who is in heaven.
He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
And just as we have borne the image of the man made of dust, let us also bear the image of the heavenly Man.
For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,not of works, lest anyone should boast.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but a new creation.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me; He has sent Me to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind;
Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your intelligent service.
the eyes of your heart having been enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
So therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every impediment, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
And hope does not put to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
And He brought me up out of a pit of misery, and from miry clay; and He set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.
but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all manner of life,because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."
Trust in God with all your heart; and be not exalted in your own wisdom.In all your ways acquaint yourself with her, that she may rightly direct your paths.
But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
And looking on them, Jesus said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself too highly, beyond what you should think, but to think soberly, as God has imparted to each one a measure of faith.
As His divine power has granted to us all things pertaining to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,through which have been given to us precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through these we may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly more than all the things which we ask or think, according to the power which is working in us,
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Therefore, leaving the subject of the beginning of Christ, let us be moved to perfection, not again laying down a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
My heart and my flesh have failed; but God is the strength of my heart, and God is my portion forever.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.He who calls you is faithful, who also will do this.
but they that wait on God shall renew their strength; they shall put forth new feathers like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
"Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.For everyone that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.
Prove me, O God, and know my heart; examine me, and know my paths;and see if there is any way of iniquity in me, and lead me in an everlasting way.
Now He who establishes us together with you in Christ and who has anointed us is God,who also has sealed us, and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make the way out, so as for you to be able to bear it.
but speaking the truth in love, we may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ;
For our citizenship exists in heaven, from which also we eagerly await for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,who will transform our lowly body, that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subject all things to Himself.
So shall the sayings of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be pleasing continually before You, O Lord my helper, and my redeemer.
let the ungodly leave his ways, and the transgressor his counsels; and let him return to the Lord, and he shall find mercy; for He shall abundantly pardon your sins.
Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, having been consecrated and useful to the Master, having been prepared for every good work.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.They went on and wept as they cast their seeds; but they shall surely come with exaltation, bringing their sheaves with them.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The thoughts of the wise are ways of life, that he may turn aside and escape from hell.
Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the everlasting covenant,make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
And you He made alive, being dead in transgressions and sins,in which you once walked according to the age of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit which is now working in the sons of disobedience,among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the senses, and were by nature children of wrath, as also the rest.But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,even when we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
For I through the law died to the law, that I might live to God.I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciledin the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach before Him--
And now thus says the Lord God that made you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel, Fear not; for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are Mine.And if you pass through water, I am with you; and the rivers shall not overflow you; and if you go through the fire, you shall not be burned; the flame shall not burn you.
For You have delivered my soul from death, and my feet from sliding, that I should be well-pleasing before God in the land of the living.
Only conduct yourselves worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving together for the faith of the gospel,
Therefore we do not despair, but even if our outward man is being destroyed, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.For our momentary light affliction is working out for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are for a season, but the things which are not seen last forever.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
But from Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption;
For the word of God is living and effectual, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
My son, if you will receive the utterance of my commandment, and hide it within you;your ear shall hearken to wisdom; you shall also apply your heart to understanding, and shall apply it to the instruction of your son.For if you shall call to wisdom, and utter your voice for understanding;and if you shall seek it as silver, and search diligently for it as for treasures;then shall you understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
for Your name's sake have I waited for You, O Lord, my soul has waited for Your word.My soul has hoped in the Lord; from the morning watch till night.
And while we do good, let us not lose heart, for in due season we shall reap if we do not become weary.
Be warmly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor preferring one another;
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and blasphemy be removed from you, with all malice.And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as also God in Christ forgave us.
but grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition, along with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, patience;
Likewise you also, consider yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
But become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of man he was.But the one who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one shall be blessed in what he does.
Now then, my son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall listen to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;(TEXT OMITTED)
And let us consider one another for the stirring up of love and of good works,not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, just as is the custom for some, but exhorting one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Out of the fruit of righteousness grows a tree of life, but the souls of transgressors are cut off before their time.
And I will give them another heart, and will put a new spirit within them; and will extract the heart of stone from their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh;that they may walk in My commandments, and keep My ordinances, and do them: and they shall be to Me a people, and I will be to them a God.
Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your intelligent service.And do not fashion yourselves after this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, all things have become new.
