You have the power to make choices and change any area of your life, but real transformation comes from God. It's not something you can muscle through on your own; it's the work of Christ in those who sincerely ask for His help in living a transformed life.
Breaking free from sin is tough, I know, but through the power of the Holy Spirit and our relationship with Him, anything is possible. God wants us to live in a state of continual transformation, and that only happens when we surrender our lives to Jesus. It means acknowledging that we need Him and that He's the only one who can bring about true change—in our minds and how we live.
Today is the day to decide to embrace inner transformation, to let Jesus be formed in your heart. Let Him be glorified in you, and He'll give you a life of triumph and glory. Transformation means movement, after all.
God will keep working in you until you are transformed into the likeness of Christ, reflecting more and more of His glory through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;to be renewed in the spirit of your minds;and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
So rend your hearts and not your garments, and return to the Lord your God. For He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion. And He relents from sending disaster.
Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Cast away from yourselves all the transgressions you have committed, and fashion for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why should you die, O house of Israel?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
because by a single offering He has made perfect for all time those who are being sanctified.
“Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old.Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His beloved Son,in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so also shall we bear the likeness of the heavenly man.
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,not by works, so that no one can boast.
For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. What counts is a new creation.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners,
Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power to us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength,
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.Our fathers disciplined us for a short time as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, so that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it yields a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who have been trained by it. Therefore strengthen your limp hands and weak knees.Make straight paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. Pursue peace with everyone, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God, and that no root of bitterness springs up to cause trouble and defile many.See to it that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected. He could find no ground for repentance, though he sought the blessing with tears. For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom, and storm;to a trumpet blast or to a voice that made its hearers beg that no further word be spoken.Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.
He lifted me up from the pit of despair, out of the miry clay; He set my feet upon a rock, and made my footsteps firm.
But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do,for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Rather, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you.
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
Now to Him who is able to do so much more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith in God,
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your entire spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.
But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns.See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the way everlasting.
Now it is God who establishes both us and you in Christ. He anointed us,placed His seal on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a pledge of what is to come.
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ Himself, who is the head.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to subject all things to Himself, will transform our lowly bodies to be like His glorious body.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Let the wicked man forsake his own way and the unrighteous man his own thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that He may have compassion, and to our God, for He will freely pardon.
So if anyone cleanses himself of what is unfit, he will be a vessel for honor: sanctified, useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.
Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.He who goes out weeping, bearing a trail of seed, will surely return with shouts of joy, carrying sheaves of grain.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with every good thing to do His will. And may He accomplish in us what is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life. Therefore remember that formerly you who are Gentiles in the flesh and called uncircumcised by the so-called circumcision (that done in the body by human hands)—remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has torn down the dividing wall of hostilityby abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peaceand reconciling both of them to God in one body through the cross, by which He extinguished their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household,in which you used to walk when you conformed to the ways of this world and of the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit who is now at work in the sons of disobedience.built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. In Him the whole building is fitted together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together into a dwelling place for God in His Spirit. All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath. But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved!
You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
For through the law I died to the law so that I might live to God.I went in response to a revelation and set before them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I spoke privately to those recognized as leaders, for fear that I was running or had already run in vain.I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds, engaging in evil deeds. But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence—
Now this is what the Lord says— He who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine!“You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may consider and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was formed, and after Me none will come.I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no Savior but Me.I alone decreed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. So you are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God.Even from eternity I am He, and none can deliver out of My hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”Thus says the Lord your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sake, I will send to Babylon and bring them all as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships in which they rejoice.I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, and your King.”Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the surging waters, who brings out the chariots and horses, the armies and warriors together, to lie down, never to rise again; to be extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:“Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old.Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.
For You have delivered my soul from death, and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
Nevertheless, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending side by side for the faith of the gospel,
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day.For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.to ask Him, “Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?”For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
My son, if you accept my words and hide my commandments within you,For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will delight your soul.Discretion will watch over you, and understanding will guard you,to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perversity, from those who leave the straight paths to walk in the ways of darkness, from those who enjoy doing evil and rejoice in the twistedness of evil, whose paths are crooked and whose ways are devious. It will rescue you from the forbidden woman, from the stranger with seductive words who abandons the partner of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God.For her house sinks down to death, and her tracks to the departed spirits. None who go to her return or negotiate the paths of life.if you incline your ear to wisdom and direct your heart to understanding,So you will follow in the ways of the good, and keep to the paths of the righteous. For the upright will inhabit the land, and the blameless will remain in it;but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be uprooted.if you truly call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding,if you seek it like silver and search it out like hidden treasure, then you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.
I wait for the Lord; my soul does wait, and in His word I put my hope.My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning— more than watchmen wait for the morning.
Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice.Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
Let no one deceive himself. If any of you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become a fool, so that he may become wise.
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves. For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does.
Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.Listen to instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.
And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds.Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh,And the Lord said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who plot evil and give wicked counsel in this city.so that they may follow My statutes, keep My ordinances, and practice them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God.
Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo yourselves in honoring one another.Do not let your zeal subside; keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer.Share with the saints who are in need. Practice hospitality.Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse.Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but enjoy the company of the lowly. Do not be conceited.Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Carefully consider what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible on your part, live at peace with everyone.Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.” Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
