You have the power to make choices and change any area of your life, but real transformation comes from God. It's not something you can muscle through on your own; it's the work of Christ in those who sincerely ask for His help in living a transformed life.
Breaking free from sin is tough, I know, but through the power of the Holy Spirit and our relationship with Him, anything is possible. God wants us to live in a state of continual transformation, and that only happens when we surrender our lives to Jesus. It means acknowledging that we need Him and that He's the only one who can bring about true change—in our minds and how we live.
Today is the day to decide to embrace inner transformation, to let Jesus be formed in your heart. Let Him be glorified in you, and He'll give you a life of triumph and glory. Transformation means movement, after all.
God will keep working in you until you are transformed into the likeness of Christ, reflecting more and more of His glory through the power of the Holy Spirit.
And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.\par
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me: and that {\i life} which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, {\i the faith} which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ:
that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.\par
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
And Peter {\i said} unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
lie not one to another; seeing that ye have put off the old man with his doings,and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Jesus answered and said unto him, {\cf6 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord;
not by works {\i done} in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.\par
and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto Jehovah your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Put to death therefore the members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;
For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained {\i to be} conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:
But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for {\i God's} own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Cast away from you all your transgressions, wherein ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.\par
who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:
We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded.
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.\par
for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, {\i it is} the gift of God;not of works, that no man should glory.
The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening {\i of the prison} to them that are bound;
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, {\i which is} your spiritual service.
having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might
Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of {\i our} faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us.
He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay;\par\tab And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living;because it is written, {\b Ye shall be holy; for I {\i am} holy.}
Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart,\par\tab And lean not upon thine own understanding:In all thy ways acknowledge him,\par\tab And he will direct thy paths.
but as it is written,\par\tab {\b Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not,\par\tab And {\i which} entered not into the heart of man,\par\tab Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.}
And Jesus looking upon {\i them} said to them, {\cf6 With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.}
For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.
seeing that his divine power hath granted unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us by his own glory and virtue;whereby he hath granted unto us his precious and exceeding great promises; that through these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.\par
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.\par
Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.
Wherefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
My flesh and my heart faileth;\par\tab {\i But} God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth.
And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.Faithful is he that calleth you, who will also do it.\par
but they that wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.\par
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Search me, O God, and know my heart:\par\tab Try me, and know my thoughts;And see if there be any wicked way in me,\par\tab And lead me in the way everlasting.
Now he that establisheth us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God;who also sealed us, and gave {\i us} the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.\par
There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it.\par
but speaking truth in love, may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, {\i even} Christ;
For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, {\i that it may be} conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.\par
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart\par\tab Be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.\par
let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, meet for the master's use, prepared unto every good work.
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing seed for sowing,\par\tab Shall doubtless come again with joy, bringing his sheaves {\i with him}.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.\par
To the wise the way of life {\i goeth} upward,\par\tab That he may depart from Sheol beneath.
Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, {\i even} our Lord Jesus,make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom {\i be} the glory for ever and ever. Amen.\par
And you {\i did he make alive}, when ye were dead through your trespasses and sins,wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience;among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest:—but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved),
Ye are of God, {\i my} little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.
For I through the law died unto the law, that I might live unto God.I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ liveth in me: and that {\i life} which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, {\i the faith} which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:
But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death:\par\tab {\i Hast thou} not {\i delivered} my feet from falling,\par\tab That I may walk before God\par\tab In the light of the living?\par
Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ: that, whether I come and see you or be absent, I may hear of your state, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the gospel;
Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.\par
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and {\b ye shall find rest unto your souls.}For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.}\par
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:
For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
My son, if thou wilt receive my words,\par\tab And lay up my commandments with thee;So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom,\par\tab And apply thy heart to understanding;Yea, if thou cry after discernment,\par\tab And lift up thy voice for understanding;If thou seek her as silver,\par\tab And search for her as for hid treasures:Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah,\par\tab And find the knowledge of God.
I wait for Jehovah, my soul doth wait,\par\tab And in his word do I hope.My soul {\i waiteth} for the Lord\par\tab More than watchmen {\i wait} for the morning;\par\tab {\i Yea, more than} watchmen for the morning.
And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another;
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.\par
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him {\i be} the glory both now and for ever.\par
In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.\par
Thou wilt keep {\i him} in perfect peace, {\i whose} mind {\i is} stayed {\i on thee}; because he trusteth in thee.
Put on therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;
{\b A Psalm of Asaph.}\par\par\tab Surely God is good to Israel,\par\tab {\i Even} to such as are pure in heart.
Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus.\par
Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinketh that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding your own selves.For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:for he beholdeth himself, and goeth away, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.But he that looketh into the perfect law, the {\i law} of liberty, and {\i so} continueth, being not a hearer that forgetteth but a doer that worketh, this man shall be blessed in his doing.
Now therefore, {\i my} sons, hearken unto me;\par\tab For blessed are they that keep my ways.Hear instruction, and be wise,\par\tab And refuse it not.
and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works;not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting {\i one another}; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.\par
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life;\par\tab And he that is wise winneth souls.
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;that they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, {\i which is} your spiritual service.And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.\par
But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.\par
Wherefore if any man is in Christ, {\i he is} a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, the new is come.
