Revelation comes from the Greek word Apocalypse, meaning "to unveil" or "to uncover." Think about it, we could never know God on our own. Isn't it amazing that He's always wanted to reveal Himself to us? Jesus Himself said, "You did not choose me, but I chose you" (John 15:16). He chose to pull back the curtain so we could truly see Him.
The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, prayed for something I think we all need. He wrote, "I never stop giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better" (Ephesians 1:16-17).
There's no limit to how much God wants to reveal Himself to you. Paul's prayer for the Ephesians is God's desire for you too. He longs for you to know Him deeply. It's through the Spirit of revelation that you can clearly see God's glory and discover amazing things you never knew before.
Because of Jesus' sacrifice, you have access to the very heart of God. You can have His mind and think like Him. So, ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate your understanding and to unveil Jesus to your family and friends. Pray for revelation in your own life, so you can walk in Jesus' will, with wisdom and understanding.
Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.
After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets,And, “You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord, and the heavens are the works of your hands.They will perish, but you continue. And they will all grow old like a garment,and like a robe you will fold them up and like a garment they will be changed, but you are the same and your years will never run out.”But to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.
The unbeliever does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky displays his handiwork.They are of greater value than gold, than even a great amount of pure gold; they bring greater delight than honey, than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb.Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward.Who can know all his errors? ‘Call on me in prayer and I will answer you. I will show you great and mysterious things which you still do not know about.’
Now the Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We saw his glory – the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth, who came from the Father.
I will instruct and teach you about how you should live. I will advise you as I look you in the eye.
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of him,
For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse.
No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.
No, this is the kind of fast I want. I want you to remove the sinful chains, to tear away the ropes of the burdensome yoke, to set free the oppressed, and to break every burdensome yoke.

The Lord’s loyal followers receive his guidance, and he reveals his covenantal demands to them.

For since in the wisdom of God the world by its wisdom did not know God, God was pleased to save those who believe by the foolishness of preaching.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us insight to know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This one is the true God and eternal life.
Now this is eternal life – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.
At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children.Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal him.
Your instructions are a doorway through which light shines. They give insight to the untrained.
On that same occasion Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.All things have been given to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal him.”
It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin.For I did not receive it or learn it from any human source; instead I received it by a revelation of Jesus Christ.
He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was manifested in these last times for your sake.Through him you now trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come.
that is, the mystery that has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but has now been revealed to his saints.God wanted to make known to them the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is an eternal God, the creator of the whole earth. He does not get tired or weary; there is no limit to his wisdom.
Having heard everything, I have reached this conclusion: Fear God and keep his commandments, because this is the whole duty of man.For God will evaluate every deed, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.
Fearing the Lord is the beginning of moral knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that had been kept secret for long ages,but now is disclosed, and through the prophetic scriptures has been made known to all the nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith –

For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

He replied, “You have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but they have not.
Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.
God has made everything fit beautifully in its appropriate time, but he has also placed ignorance in the human heart so that people cannot discover what God has ordained, from the beginning to the end of their lives.

Now to him who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think,
How can a young person maintain a pure life? By guarding it according to your instructions!
He is your constant source of stability; he abundantly provides safety and great wisdom; he gives all this to those who fear him.

Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ.
The one who heeds instruction is on the way to life, but the one who rejects rebuke goes astray.
Then the Lord said, “Should I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?After all, Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all the nations on the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using his name.I have chosen him so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just. Then the Lord will give to Abraham what he promised him.”
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.For the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel from faith to faith, just as it is written, “The righteous by faith will live.”
For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
And I pray this, that your love may abound even more and more in knowledge and every kind of insight
so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.
Who is a wise person? Who knows the solution to a problem? A person’s wisdom brightens his appearance, and softens his harsh countenance.
Then you will call out, and the Lord will respond; you will cry out, and he will reply, ‘Here I am.’ You must remove the burdensome yoke from among you and stop pointing fingers and speaking sinfully.
Now this is the gospel message we have heard from him and announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.

the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned.”
Wisdom calls out in the street, she shouts loudly in the plazas;at the head of the noisy streets she calls, in the entrances of the gates in the city she utters her words:
My goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and that they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ,
But those who wait for the Lord’s help find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.
Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life?Not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people because all sinned –for before the law was given, sin was in the world, but there is no accounting for sin when there is no law.Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam (who is a type of the coming one) transgressed.But the gracious gift is not like the transgression. For if the many died through the transgression of the one man, how much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ multiply to the many!And the gift is not like the one who sinned. For judgment, resulting from the one transgression, led to condemnation, but the gracious gift from the many failures led to justification.For if, by the transgression of the one man, death reigned through the one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ!Consequently, just as condemnation for all people came through one transgression, so too through the one righteous act came righteousness leading to life for all people.For just as through the disobedience of the one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man many will be made righteous.through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory.
Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded.
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on rock.The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, but it did not collapse because it had been founded on rock.
Now as for you, the anointing that you received from him resides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, it is true and is not a lie. Just as it has taught you, you reside in him.
For by the grace given to me I say to every one of you not to think more highly of yourself than you ought to think, but to think with sober discernment, as God has distributed to each of you a measure of faith.
he reveals deep and hidden things. He knows what is in the darkness, and light resides with him.
Then Jesus spoke out again, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.
