110 Bible Verses about The Revelation That Comes From God

110 Bible Verses about The Revelation That Comes From God

Revelation comes from the Greek word Apocalypse, meaning "to unveil" or "to uncover." Think about it, we could never know God on our own. Isn't it amazing that He's always wanted to reveal Himself to us? Jesus Himself said, "You did not choose me, but I chose you" (John 15:16). He chose to pull back the curtain so we could truly see Him.

The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, prayed for something I think we all need. He wrote, "I never stop giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better" (Ephesians 1:16-17).

There's no limit to how much God wants to reveal Himself to you. Paul's prayer for the Ephesians is God's desire for you too. He longs for you to know Him deeply. It's through the Spirit of revelation that you can clearly see God's glory and discover amazing things you never knew before.

Because of Jesus' sacrifice, you have access to the very heart of God. You can have His mind and think like Him. So, ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate your understanding and to unveil Jesus to your family and friends. Pray for revelation in your own life, so you can walk in Jesus' will, with wisdom and understanding.

Hebrews 1:1-2

After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets,And, “You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord, and the heavens are the works of your hands. They will perish, but you continue. And they will all grow old like a garment, and like a robe you will fold them up and like a garment they will be changed, but you are the same and your years will never run out.”But to which of the angels has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.

Psalm 19:1-4

The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky displays his handiwork. They are of greater value than gold, than even a great amount of pure gold; they bring greater delight than honey, than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb.Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward.Who can know all his errors? Please do not punish me for sins I am unaware of.Moreover, keep me from committing flagrant sins; do not allow such sins to control me. Then I will be blameless, and innocent of blatant rebellion.May my words and my thoughts be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my sheltering rock and my redeemer.Day after day it speaks out; night after night it reveals his greatness. There is no actual speech or word, nor is its voice literally heard.Yet its voice echoes throughout the earth; its words carry to the distant horizon. In the sky he has pitched a tent for the sun.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us,For they disciplined us for a little while as seemed good to them, but he does so for our benefit, that we may share his holiness. Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for those trained by it.Therefore, strengthen your listless hands and your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be healed.Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness, for without it no one will see the Lord.See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no one be like a bitter root springing up and causing trouble, and through him many become defiled. And see to it that no one becomes an immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. For you know that later when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no opportunity for repentance, although he sought the blessing with tears. For you have not come to something that can be touched, to a burning fire and darkness and gloom and a whirlwindand the blast of a trumpet and a voice uttering words such that those who heard begged to hear no more.keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

O Lord, you examine me and know.even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would grab hold of me.If I were to say, “Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,”even the darkness is not too dark for you to see, and the night is as bright as day; darkness and light are the same to you.Certainly you made my mind and heart; you wove me together in my mother’s womb.I will give you thanks because your deeds are awesome and amazing. You knew me thoroughly;my bones were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret and sewed together in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in your scroll before one of them came into existence. How difficult it is for me to fathom your thoughts about me, O God! How vast is their sum total! If I tried to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. Even if I finished counting them, I would still have to contend with you.If only you would kill the wicked, O God! Get away from me, you violent men!You know when I sit down and when I get up; even from far away you understand my motives. They rebel against you and act deceitfully; your enemies lie.O Lord, do I not hate those who hate you, and despise those who oppose you?I absolutely hate them, they have become my enemies!Examine me, and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!See if there is any idolatrous tendency in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path! You carefully observe me when I travel or when I lie down to rest; you are aware of everything I do.Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without you, O Lord, being thoroughly aware of it.

Romans 5:1-2

Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life? Not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation. So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people because all sinned –for before the law was given, sin was in the world, but there is no accounting for sin when there is no law.Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam (who is a type of the coming one) transgressed. But the gracious gift is not like the transgression. For if the many died through the transgression of the one man, how much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ multiply to the many! And the gift is not like the one who sinned. For judgment, resulting from the one transgression, led to condemnation, but the gracious gift from the many failures led to justification. For if, by the transgression of the one man, death reigned through the one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ!Consequently, just as condemnation for all people came through one transgression, so too through the one righteous act came righteousness leading to life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man many will be made righteous.through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory.

Prayer

Redeeming God! Today, I cry out to you and seek your face to give you glory and honor. Before you, Father, I come, in Jesus' name, because I long to know the mysteries of your heart. Like Daniel, I ask that you reveal to me the deep and hidden things. Holy Spirit, grant me understanding and knowledge of the things hidden since the foundation of the world. Your word says, "He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him." Reveal to me the purpose and will you have for my life. I want to walk where you want me to walk, and so I cry out to you, that I may find grace and timely help. Fill me with wisdom and revelation; open the eyes of my understanding. Help me to understand the times. I ask that you open my eyes so I can see the wonders of your law. Beloved God, unleash in my life the gift of the word of knowledge and understanding. May your glory be evident in my life before all, and may your righteousness be manifested in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
