96 Verses about the Promise of the Kingdom of God

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

As you go, proclaim the good news, ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’

His authority shall grow continually, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son.

When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what is sown in the heart; this is what was sown on the path.

Soon afterwards he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. The twelve were with him,

the field is the world, and the good seed are the children of the kingdom; the weeds are the children of the evil one,

In days to come the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; all the nations shall stream to it.On that day people will throw away to the moles and to the bats their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made for themselves to worship,to enter the caverns of the rocks and the clefts in the crags, from the terror of the Lord, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.Turn away from mortals, who have only breath in their nostrils, for of what account are they?Many peoples shall come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth instruction, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Instead, strive for his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

Then I saw thrones, and those seated on them were given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The kingship and dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High; their kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey them.”

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.And in the spirit he carried me away to a great, high mountain and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God.It has the glory of God and a radiance like a very rare jewel, like jasper, clear as crystal.It has a great, high wall with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates are inscribed the names of the twelve tribes of the Israelites;on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.And the wall of the city has twelve foundations, and on them are the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.The angel who talked to me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls.The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width; and he measured the city with his rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal.He also measured its wall, one hundred forty-four cubits by human measurement, which the angel was using.The wall is built of jasper, while the city is pure gold, clear as glass.The foundations of the wall of the city are adorned with every jewel; the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside, everything comes in parables;

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, proclaiming, “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Messiah, for the accuser of our comrades has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

And he said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a household who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.”

From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.

Then he looked up at his disciples and said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

and I confer on you, just as my Father has conferred on me, a kingdom,Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve;so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”

After his suffering he presented himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

for I tell you, I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

But when they believed Philip, who was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers,

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds.

And the Lord will become king over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be one and his name one.

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Let anyone with ears listen!

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the Lord; so shall your descendants and your name remain.

To the one who conquers I will give a place with me on my throne, just as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.

He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

When the crowds found out about it, they followed him; and he welcomed them, and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed to be cured.

Then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, after he has destroyed every ruler and every authority and power.

“See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work.

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man is seated on the throne of his glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

For I am about to create new heavens and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind.

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

And there will be no more night; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

To him was given dominion and glory and kingship, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not pass away, and his kingship is one that shall never be destroyed.

“But about that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”

They will not hurt or destroy on all my holy mountain; for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”He replied, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

But the holy ones of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever—forever and ever.”

Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”

But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

For the kingdom of God depends not on talk but on power.

but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe;

Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters. Has not God chosen the poor in the world to be rich in faith and to be heirs of the kingdom that he has promised to those who love him?

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall this kingdom be left to another people. It shall crush all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever;

cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and caught fish of every kind;

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

He put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field;it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”

Once Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, and he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed;nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There it is!’ For, in fact, the kingdom of God is among you.”

He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,

Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”

Jesus answered, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.

and said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever.”

and made us to be a kingdom, priests serving his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.

The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

One of the dinner guests, on hearing this, said to him, “Blessed is anyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!”

The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.

Jesus said to him, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and curing every disease and every sickness.

And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see that the kingdom of God has come with power.”

“The law and the prophets were in effect until John came; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone tries to enter it by force.

And he said to them, “Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,In that city there was a widow who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Grant me justice against my opponent.’who will not get back very much more in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

He also said, “The kingdom of God is as if someone would scatter seed on the ground,and would sleep and rise night and day, and the seed would sprout and grow, he does not know how.The earth produces of itself, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head.But when the grain is ripe, at once he goes in with his sickle, because the harvest has come.”

But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.

He said to them, “When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come.

For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.

He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed in with three measures of flour until all of it was leavened.”

and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal.

urging and encouraging you and pleading that you lead a life worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.

“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like this. Ten bridesmaids took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.

and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ—if, in fact, we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my followers would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here.”

you have made them to be a kingdom and priests serving our God, and they will reign on earth.”

And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come.

He answered, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
