Think of perseverance like holding steady, staying strong. Salvation belongs to those who hold on, who stay the course, right to the very end. You're going to face tough times, good times, things that try to trip you up and pull your focus. But in those moments, don't let your feelings take over. Let the Spirit be your guide.
Perseverance makes you unstoppable in the face of challenges. It helps you hold on even when you haven't seen God's promise fulfilled yet. It gives you the strength to keep going, no matter what, and pushes you to reach your goals. It's the key to living a determined life, walking in God's ways.
Keep pressing on, keep persevering. It will strengthen your faith and draw you closer to our Heavenly Father. Perseverance means doing good, doing what pleases God, no matter what's going on, even when temptation comes knocking.
Perseverance and love for Jesus will keep you from falling because your eyes are fixed on Him. Remember, God is pleased with those who persevere, who don't give up, who don't stray from His word, and who believe in Him wholeheartedly. (2 Thessalonians 1:4) We boast about your perseverance and faith in the face of all kinds of persecution and hardship in all the churches of God.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts, by the Holy Spirit which is given to us.
Wherefore, seeing we also are encompassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man is wasted, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh out for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching for this purpose with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
But the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.
Though he should fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are before,I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
And ye will be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, to all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness;
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:
But that on the good ground are they, who in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he will strengthen thy heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
But he who looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth in it, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
And we desire every one of you to show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope to the end:That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one towards another according to Christ Jesus:
Know ye not, that they who run in a race, all run, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Wherefore, seeing we also are encompassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Whoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Wherefore take to you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one towards another according to Christ Jesus:That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
And whatever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;Knowing that from the Lord ye will receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
In which ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season (if need be) ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though tried with fire, might be found to praise, and honor, and glory, at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say to you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.
And the world passeth away, and the lust of it: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
To them who by patient continuance in well-doing, seek for glory, and honor, and immortality; eternal life:
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end;
Be patient, therefore, brethren, to the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receiveth the early and the latter rain.Be ye also patient; establish your hearts; for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh; And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works thy own hands.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised:
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:By whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you:
I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me on all sides.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yes, I will help thee; yes, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Come to me, all ye that labor, and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me: for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest to your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he will strengthen thy heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye who are spiritual, restore such one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried to thee, O LORD.Lord, hear my voice: let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
For in this is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
My son, forget not my law; but let thy heart keep my commandments; For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
For whatever is born of God, overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you:But rejoice, seeing ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious to you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from them that persecute me.
In the day when I cried thou didst answer me, and strengthen me with strength in my soul.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
And ye will be hated by all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you.For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, the door shall be opened.
