Through Christ's blood, you are justified. There's no condemnation for you when you come to God with a repentant heart. Believe that when you ask Jesus for forgiveness, you receive His mercy, and your soul is freed from the final punishment meant for those who don't turn away from their wrongdoings.
It's important to remember that the devil will constantly try to bring up your past to keep you from moving forward. He'll bring back thoughts of things God has already forgiven, just to make you feel guilty.
Nothing you do earns God's love. He's so good that His love isn't based on your actions. He loved you before the creation of the world and sent His Son to die for you, pulling you out of darkness through His blood and establishing a relationship with you.
So, whenever Satan tries to intimidate you and pull you away from God's presence, stand firm. Declare that through Jesus' sacrifice, you are justified before the Father. The sin that's been haunting you is removed, making you righteous. The shame that tormented you is forgotten, and you are repositioned with Christ in heavenly places.
Romans 5:1 reminds us that, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not by works, lest any man should boast.
Even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ to all, and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference:
Wherefore the law was our school-master to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man shall draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Christ is become of no effect to you, whoever of you are justified by the law; ye have fallen from grace.
For in this is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Seeing it is one God who will justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
But for us also, to whom it will be imputed, if we believe on him that raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,Who was delivered for our offenses, and raised again for our justification.
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we may be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Therefore, as by the offense of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men to justification of life.
Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live to righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who from God is made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
And you, that were formerly alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled,In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight:
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together; who is my adversary? let him come near to me.Behold the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from me, saith the LORD.
And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:By whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
A Psalm of David, Maschil. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the vail, that is to say, his flesh; And having a high priest over the house of God;Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he made alive together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;Blotting out the hand-writing of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the world began;
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness is attainable by the law, then Christ hath died in vain.
But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For if through the offense of one many are dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded to many.
Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life, in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:That the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:
For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What shall we say then? That the Gentiles who followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is by faith:
Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
My little children, these things I write to you, that ye sin not. And if any man sinneth, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
But God commendeth his love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
I acknowledged my sin to thee, and my iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.
In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight:
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving-kindness: according to the multitude of thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being testified by the law and the prophets;Even the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ to all, and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference:
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,Even when we were dead in sins, hath made us alive together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again to a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed. And that was counted to him for righteousness to all generations for ever.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor hight, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD will help them, and deliver them: he will deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, to the glory of God by us.
If ye then be raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man to whom God imputeth righteousness without works,Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;
Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.For I neither received it from man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he may be just, and the justifier of him who believeth in Jesus.
For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you:For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, the door shall be opened.
For whatever is born of God, overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
VAU. Let thy mercies come also to me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
Why? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling-stone;As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumbling-stone, and rock of offense: and whoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the vail;Whither the forerunner hath for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:By whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also; knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts, by the Holy Spirit which is given to us.
For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;Being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ:Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he may be just, and the justifier of him who believeth in Jesus.
Now to him that worketh, is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who will lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth:Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, or rather that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
