Find refuge in Jesus, your shield and protector. He’s powerful enough to set you free and conquer your fears. Reaching out to God always brings peace and immeasurable rewards.

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly.Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me.Be pleased to save me, Lord; come quickly, Lord, to help me.May all who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace.May those who say to me, “Aha! Aha!” be appalled at their own shame. But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; you are my God, do not delay. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them. One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: “Power belongs to you, God,and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.”Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.to ask him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
But as for me, I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; you are my God, do not delay.
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty! You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice. In little more than a year you who feel secure will tremble; the grape harvest will fail, and the harvest of fruit will not come.Tremble, you complacent women; shudder, you daughters who feel secure! Strip off your fine clothes and wrap yourselves in rags.Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vinesand for the land of my people, a land overgrown with thorns and briers— yes, mourn for all houses of merriment and for this city of revelry. The fortress will be abandoned, the noisy city deserted; citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever, the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks, till the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest. The Lord’s justice will dwell in the desert, his righteousness live in the fertile field. The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.Though hail flattens the forest and the city is leveled completely,Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
