Don't let anyone take away the freedom Jesus gave you. When Christ died for you, He wanted you to live a free life, as a child of God.
Jesus didn't go to the cross so you could live chained to things that hold you back. He did it so you could experience the joy of living in complete freedom, owing nothing to anyone but Him, who gave everything for you.
Galatians 5:1 says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." So stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Don't go back to the place Jesus rescued you from. Don't let your past condemn you after you've been justified before the throne of grace. Understand that you are completely free—free to worship, pray, and draw near to God. Don't let anything in this world enslave you, but walk in the freedom Christ has given you.
Don't take part in the works of darkness. Instead, guard your heart, stand firm, and don't let the world and its desires pull you back into doing what's wrong, drawing you away from the holiness without which no one will see God.
Those who live in freedom are called children of the light, because everything good dwells in them. But those who are in darkness are always led to do what is wrong.
The good news is you've been bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus. And your new owner wants you to live from glory to glory and from victory to victory. In a nutshell, He’s telling you: live free.
Romans 8:1-2 says, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."
Guard your freedom. Guard your relationship with the Holy Spirit, and you will never again be a slave to the flesh and its desires.
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brothers, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh— for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die, but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the practices of the body, you will live. For as many as are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons by whom we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, also heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore, stand firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, so that no one may boast.
But this was because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who had sneaked in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us. But we did not yield in subjection to them for even a moment, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.
For you were called to freedom, brothers; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.
Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us which was hostile to us, He also has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have consciousness of sins? by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
The Spirit of Lord Yahweh is upon me Because Yahweh has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim release to captives And freedom to prisoners,
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs according to promise.
Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as slaves of God.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
So then, brothers, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
But now having been freed from sin and enslaved to God, you have your benefit, leading to sanctification, and the end, eternal life.
But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.
Therefore, if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. and have put on the new man who is being renewed to a full knowledge according to the image of the One who created him— a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, and freeman, but Christ is all and in all. So, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience; bearing with one another, and graciously forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone, just as the Lord graciously forgave you, so also should you. Above all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body, and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with gratefulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart. Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but with integrity of heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. Serve the Lord Christ. For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality. For you died and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed,
God causes the lonely to inhabit a home; He leads out the prisoners into prosperity, Only the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
¶Hate evil, you who love Yahweh, Who keeps the souls of His holy ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
Who rescued us from the authority of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
¶From my distress I called upon Yah; Yah answered me and set me in a large place. Yahweh is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and self-discipline.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may approve what the will of God is, that which is good and pleasing and perfect.
When Yahweh returned the captive ones of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with shouts of joy; Then they said among the nations, “Yahweh has done great things for them.”
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
bearing with one another, and graciously forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone, just as the Lord graciously forgave you, so also should you.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the might of His strength. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the inheritance of the slaves of Yahweh, And their righteousness is from Me,” declares Yahweh.
For we through the Spirit, by faith, are eagerly waiting for the hope of righteousness.
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes. Therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
Make sure that your way of life is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,”
¶“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will protect him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in his distress; I will rescue him and honor him.
and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.
knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold from your futile conduct inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
¶The law of Yahweh is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of Yahweh is sure, making wise the simple.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees: “Do not handle, nor taste, nor touch”? Which deal with everything destined to perish with use, which are in accordance with the commands and teachings of men;
The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is set securely on high.
For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the overcoming that has overcome the world—our faith.
Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
I hoped earnestly for Yahweh; And He inclined to me and heard my cry for help. I do not conceal Your righteousness within my heart; I speak of Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I do not hide Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly. ¶You, O Yahweh, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your lovingkindness and Your truth will continually guard me. For evils beyond number have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; They are more numerous than the hairs of my head, And my heart has failed me. ¶Be pleased, O Yahweh, to deliver me; Make haste, O Yahweh, to help me. Let those be ashamed and humiliated together Who seek my life to sweep it away; Let those be turned back and dishonored Who delight in evil against me. Let those be appalled because of their shame Who say to me, “Aha, aha!” Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, “Yahweh be magnified!” As for me, I am afflicted and needy, May the Lord think of me. You are my help and the One who rescues me; Do not delay, O my God. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a high rock, He established my steps. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear And will trust in Yahweh.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
You, who have shown me many troubles and evils, Will revive me again, And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth. May You increase my greatness And turn to comfort me.
Trembling before man brings a snare, But he who trusts in Yahweh will be set securely on high.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
Therefore I exhort you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice—living, holy, and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
But God, being rich in mercy because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
Do you not know that you are a sanctuary of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
For thus Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, has said, “In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your might.” But you were not willing,
The God who girds me with strength And makes my way blameless? He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, And sets me upon my high places. He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
He who indeed did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
And through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross—through Him—whether things on earth or things in heaven.
But you are a chosen family, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
O Israel, wait for Yahweh; For with Yahweh there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption.
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we were saved, but hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we eagerly wait for it. And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers; For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, and those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified; and those whom He justified, He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who indeed did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will affliction, or turmoil, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were counted as sheep for the slaughter.” But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. so that the righteous requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
But now, thus says Yahweh, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! “You are My witnesses,” declares Yahweh, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no god formed, And there will be none after Me. “I, even I, am Yahweh, And there is no savior besides Me. “It is I who have declared and saved and caused it to be heard, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses,” declares Yahweh, “And I am God. “Even from eternity I am He, And there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?” Thus says Yahweh your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, “For your sake I have sent to Babylon, And will bring down those who fled—all of them, Even the Chaldeans—into the ships in which they shouted for joy. “I am Yahweh, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.” Thus says Yahweh, Who makes a way through the sea And a path through the mighty waters, Who brings forth the chariot and the horse, The military force and the mighty man; They will lie down together and not rise again; They have been extinguished and quenched like a wick: “Do not remember the former things, Nor carefully consider things of the past. “Behold, I will do something new; Now it will spring forth; Will you not know it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the wasteland. “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
in every way afflicted, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man, though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a headdress instead of ashes, The oil of rejoicing instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of Yahweh, that He may show forth His beautiful glory.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. and said to Him, “Are You the One who is to come, or shall we look for someone else?” For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, laying aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our benefit, so that we may share His holiness. And all discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful, but to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord, seeing to it that no one falls short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; that also there be no sexually immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears. For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind, and to the blast of a trumpet and the sound of words which was such that those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them. fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Yahweh is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
You are my hiding place; You guard me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
As for me, I am afflicted and needy, May the Lord think of me. You are my help and the One who rescues me; Do not delay, O my God.
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our transgressions, according to the riches of His grace
Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us which was hostile to us, He also has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them in Him. Therefore, no one is to judge you in food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day—
The one who does sin is of the devil, because the devil sins from the beginning. The Son of God was manifested for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
