120 Biblical Promises on Exaltation

Think about this: everything has its season. Only God can truly lift you up. It's not our place to toot our own horn, you know? That's God's job, the Creator of everything. It's like 2 Corinthians 10:17¹⁷ says, "Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord."

Bragging and being arrogant just pushes God's spirit away. It goes against everything the Holy Spirit stands for. He gives grace to the humble, not to those who think they're all that. If you want to be lifted up, you've gotta humble yourself before God first. He sees your heart. If what's inside is real and good, then He'll take care of the rest. He'll lift you up in His time.

God's looking for genuine hearts, people who acknowledge Him in everything and can't imagine life without Him. Don't get caught up in boasting about what you do. What really matters is that Jesus knows you and that your actions are genuine before Him.

Watch out for pride. Be open to God's correction. Remember what Matthew 23:12 says: "Whoever exalts themselves will be humbled, and whoever humbles themselves will be exalted." Take care of your inner self, nurture it in quiet time with God. Those secret prayers? They'll be answered publicly.

God wants us to be close to Him, to really know Him. He's not looking for showboats or people chasing clout, but for those who seek His presence. It's that small group, the faithful remnant who stay close to the Lord, that He will lift up when the time is right.

For it is not from the east or the west and not from the south that lifting up comes,rather God is the judge; one he brings low, and another he lifts up.

With those who scorn, he is scornful, but to those who are humble, he gives favor.

And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

I will also make him the firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

For thus says the high and lofty one who resides forever, and whose name is holy: “I reside in a high and holy place, and with the contrite and humble of spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Yahweh helps the afflicted up; he brings the wicked down to the ground.

and if children, also heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together with him so that we may also be glorified together with him.

Exalt Yahweh our God, and worship at his footstool. He is holy.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Yahweh has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.

The one who descended himself is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, in order that he might fill all things.

The small one shall become a tribe, and the smallest one a mighty nation. I am Yahweh; I will hasten it in its time.”

but we see Jesus, for a short time made lower than the angels, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that apart from God he might taste death on behalf of everyone.

But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory and the one who lifts up my head.

Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of God and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he has poured out this that you see and hear.

Who is the king of glory? Yahweh of hosts, He is the king of glory! SelahLift up your heads, O gates, and rise up, O ancient doorways, that the king of glory may enter.Who is the king of glory? Yahweh, strong and mighty; Yahweh, mighty in war!Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift up, O ancient doorways, that the king of glory may enter.

Therefore also God exalted him and graciously granted him the name above every name,

This is from Yahweh; it is wonderful in our eyes.This is the day Yahweh has worked; let us rejoice and be glad in him.

Then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know beyond a doubt, that God has made him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified!”

And let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give up.

This one God has exalted to his right hand as Leader and Savior to grant repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

being devoted to one another in brotherly love, esteeming one another more highly in honor,

For our momentary light affliction is producing in us an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure and proportion,

You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; because of this God, your God, has anointed you with the olive oil of joy more than your companions.

Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, the ones who hope for his loyal love.

who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, with angels and authorities and powers having been subjected to him.

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the originator and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

I called to him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind; Yahweh raises up those bowed down; Yahweh loves the righteous;

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth.

Instead of your shame, a double portion, and instead of insult, they will rejoice over their portion. Therefore they will take a double portion in their land; they shall possess everlasting joy.

Be exalted above the heavens, O God. Let your glory be above all the earth.

Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is proper for those who love your name.

In the day of my trouble I call to you, because you answer me.

Therefore Yahweh waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he will rise up to show you mercy, for Yahweh is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

Fear of Yahweh is the instruction of the wise, and before honor comes humility.

Only for God wait in silence, O my soul, because my hope is from him.Only he is my rock and my salvation, my high stronghold; I shall not be shaken.

And for anyone to eat and drink, that is, to enjoy the fruit of all his toil, this also is a gift of God.

Every weapon formed against you shall not succeed, and you shall declare guilty every tongue that rises against you for judgment. This is the inheritance of the servants of Yahweh, and their legal right from me,” declares Yahweh.

Now may the God of patient endurance and of encouragement grant you to be in agreement with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus,so that with one mind you may glorify with one mouth the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will bless Yahweh at all times; his praise shall be in my mouth continually.My soul makes its boast in Yahweh; let the humble hear and be glad.Magnify Yahweh with me, and let us exalt his name together.

For the pillars of the earth belong to Yahweh and he has set the inhabited world on them.

For you set on him blessings forever. You make him glad with the joy of your presence.

But those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall go up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not grow weary; they shall walk and not be faint.

My heart is moved with a good word; I recite my compositions to the king. My tongue is the pen of a skilled scribe.

Therefore, if you have been raised together with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

It goes well for a man who is gracious and lends, who conducts his business properly.

Because he has delivered me from all trouble, and my eye has looked with satisfaction on my enemies.

then you shall take your pleasure in Yahweh, and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth, and I will feed you the heritage of Jacob your ancestor, for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.”

Blessed is Yahweh, because he has heard the voice of my supplications.Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts him and I am helped. So my heart rejoices, and with my song I will give thanks to him.

The reward of humility is the fear of Yahweh— wealth and honor and life.

The arrogant utterly deride me; I have not turned aside from your law.

Though Yahweh is high, yet he sees the lowly, but the proud he perceives at a distance.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, because theirs is the kingdom of heaven.Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you, lying on account of me.Rejoice and be glad, because your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you.

to those who, by perseverance in good work, seek glory and honor and immortality, eternal life,

Then he put a new song in my mouth, a praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and will trust Yahweh.

and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, and that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains; whence will my help come?My help is from Yahweh, maker of heaven and earth.

And kings shall be your guardians, and their queens your nurses. They shall bow down, faces to the ground, to you, and they will lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am Yahweh; those who await me shall not be ashamed.

When I fear, I trust you.

For I consider that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us.

And my God will fulfill your every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

For you bless the righteous. O Yahweh, like a shield you surround him with good favor.

You will protect a firm inclination in peace, in peace because he trusts in you.

Consider that I love your precepts; O Yahweh, according to your loyal love preserve my life.The whole of your word is truth, and your every righteous judgment endures forever.

For as many as are the promises of God, in him they are “yes”; therefore also through him is the “amen” to the glory of God through us.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s possession, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light,

Because your loyal love is better than life, my lips will praise you.

Let your mercies come to me, that I may live, for your law is my delight.

A person of blessing will be enriched, and he who gives water also will be refreshed.

You will make known to me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasures forever.

“Arise, shine! For your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.

But know that Yahweh has set apart for himself the faithful one. Yahweh hears when I call to him.

But seek first his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Yahweh is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry for help, and saves them.

How delightful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace, who brings good news, who announces salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns as a king.”

through whom also we have obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

And do not snatch the word of truth utterly from my mouth, for I hope in your ordinances.

On God rests my salvation and my glory; God is my strong rock, my refuge.

The one who calls you is faithful, who also will do this.

He gives power to the weary, and he increases power for the powerless.

Yah is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

This is my comfort in my misery: that your word preserves my life.

In the presence of destruction, the heart of a man will be haughty, but in the presence of honor, humble.

For he will not be shaken forever; the righteous will be remembered forever.

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”Then Pharaoh removed his signet ring from his finger and put it on the finger of Joseph. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, and abundant in loyal love for all who call to you.

convinced of this same thing, that the one who began a good work in you will finish it until the day of Christ Jesus,

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened for you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

The righteous will flourish like the date palm. They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.Planted in the house of Yahweh, they will flourish in the courts of our God.They will still prosper in old age. They will be fat and luxuriant,

Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for the one who promised is faithful.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, who is rich to all who call upon him.

My flesh and heart failed, but God is the strength of my heart and my reward forever.

Wait for Yahweh. Be strong and let your heart show strength, and wait for Yahweh.

And this is the confidence that we have before him: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

I will rejoice greatly in Yahweh; my being shall shout in exultation in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns himself with a head wrap like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewelry.

I praise you seven times in the day for your righteous ordinances.

I call with my whole heart; answer me, O Yahweh. I will keep your statutes.I call to you. Save me, and I will heed your testimonies.

Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

I will give thanks to you for you have answered me, and you have become my salvation.

Be quiet before Yahweh and wait for him. Do not fret about one who succeeds in his way, about a man making plots.

For sin will not be master over you, because you are not under law, but under grace.

Wait for Yahweh and keep his way, and he will exalt you to possess the land. When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

The fear of a person will lay a snare, but he who trusts in Yahweh will be secure.

But the nobleman plans noble things, and he stands upon noble things.

He has brought down rulers from their thrones, and has exalted the lowly.

Now let the brother of humble circumstances boast in his high position,

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you at the right time,
