BEAUTIFUL VERSES

BEAUTIFUL VERSES

The Bible is full of beautiful verses that just fill you up, you know? They give you so much encouragement. I'm always sharing them with loved ones and posting them online, too. Each one is such a blessing, truly God-inspired to build us up and draw us closer to Him.

Take Joshua 1:9, for example: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” God speaks to us directly through His Word, and right there He's telling us to be strong, that He's with us, always. Just like that beautiful verse, you’ll find so many more in the Bible that can truly change your life.

Proverbs 3:3-4

Do not let truth and mercy leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.Do not accuse anyone without legitimate cause, if he has not treated you wrongly.Do not envy a violent man, and do not choose to imitate any of his ways;for one who goes astray is an abomination to the Lord, but he reveals his intimate counsel to the upright. The Lord’s curse is on the household of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.Although he is scornful to arrogant scoffers, yet he shows favor to the humble. The wise inherit honor, but he holds fools up to public contempt. Then you will find favor and good understanding, in the sight of God and people.

Ephesians 4:1-3

I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called,He, the very one who descended, is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things. It was he who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,to equip the saints for the work of ministry, that is, to build up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God – a mature person, attaining to the measure of Christ’s full stature. So we are no longer to be children, tossed back and forth by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching by the trickery of people who craftily carry out their deceitful schemes. But practicing the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ, who is the head. From him the whole body grows, fitted and held together through every supporting ligament. As each one does its part, the body grows in love.So I say this, and insist in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,But you did not learn about Christ like this,if indeed you heard about him and were taught in him, just as the truth is in Jesus. You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires,to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and to put on the new man who has been created in God’s image – in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth. Therefore, having laid aside falsehood, each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger.Do not give the devil an opportunity. The one who steals must steal no longer; rather he must labor, doing good with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with the one who has need. You must let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but only what is beneficial for the building up of the one in need, that it may give grace to those who hear.making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”Therefore be very careful how you live – not as unwise but as wise, taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil. For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise by understanding what the Lord’s will is.And do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your hearts to the Lord, and live in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us,For they disciplined us for a little while as seemed good to them, but he does so for our benefit, that we may share his holiness. Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for those trained by it.Therefore, strengthen your listless hands and your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be healed.Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness, for without it no one will see the Lord.See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no one be like a bitter root springing up and causing trouble, and through him many become defiled. And see to it that no one becomes an immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. For you know that later when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no opportunity for repentance, although he sought the blessing with tears. For you have not come to something that can be touched, to a burning fire and darkness and gloom and a whirlwindand the blast of a trumpet and a voice uttering words such that those who heard begged to hear no more.keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

Prayer

Lord, you are the Alpha and the Omega! Father, creator of heaven and earth, you are the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Today I want to thank you, my God, because your word has been my refuge and peace in the midst of tribulation. It has filled me with joy in loneliness and sustains me when I grow weak. Thank you because your word declares, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, a light on my path." Lord Jesus, open my eyes and ears to your word, that I may read and hear your voice and meditate on your teachings. Awaken my soul and mind so that your word may be treasured in my heart and I may act according to its power. I ask that your word be revealed to my life, because in it is the true substance of all things. You say, "By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth." Lord, help me to nourish myself with it, because only your word has the power to control my emotions, thoughts, and my heart. I cry out to you, recognizing that only you have the power to set free, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. I ask now that you place upon me your power and the anointing of your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, Amen.
