2 Samuel 2

¹ And it came to be afterwards that Dawiḏ

⁴ And the men of Yehuḏ

⁵ Dawiḏ

⁶ “And now, יהוה  show kindness and truth to you, and I am also going to do you good, because you have done this deed.

⁷ “And now, let your hands be strengthened and be brave, for your master Sha’ul is dead, and also the house of Yehuḏ

⁸ But Aḇ

⁹ and set him up to reign over Gilʽ

¹⁰ Ishbosheth, son of Sha’ul, was forty years old when he began to reign over Yisra’ĕ

¹¹ And the time that Dawiḏ

¹² And Aḇ

¹³ And Yo’aḇ

¹⁴ And Aḇ

¹⁵ And they rose and went over by number, twelve from Binyamin, followers of Ishbosheth son of Sha’ul, and twelve from the servants of Dawiḏ

¹⁶ And each one grasped his opponent by the head and thrust his sword in his opponent’s side, and they fell down together. So that place was called the Field of Sharp Swords, which is in Giḇ

¹⁷ And the battle was fierce that day, and Aḇ

¹⁸ And there were three sons of Tseruyah there, Yo’aḇ

¹⁹ And Asah’ĕ

²⁰ And Aḇ

²¹ And Aḇ

²² And Aḇ

²³ But he refused to turn aside, and Aḇ

²⁴ And Yo’aḇ

²⁵ And the children of Binyamin gathered together behind Aḇ

²⁶ And Aḇ

²⁷ And Yo’aḇ

²⁸ Yo’aḇ

²⁹ And Aḇ

³⁰ And Yo’aḇ

³¹ But the servants of Dawiḏ

³² And they brought Asah’ĕ
