”And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says, ‘You will keep on hearing but will never understand; you will keep looking, but will never see.
He closed the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. All eyes in the synagogue were focused on Him.
All were speaking well of Him and marveling at the gracious words coming out of His mouth. And they were saying, “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?”
You search the Scriptures because you suppose that in them you have eternal life. It is these that testify about Me.
But what God foretold through the mouth of all His prophets—that His Messiah was to suffer—so He has fulfilled.
